Wrong..
You obviously know shit about actual mining and are not speaking from experience.

Each S9 eats +1400W @ 220V that is about 6.3 Amps EACH...with line losses and in hot weather that can spike up to 6.5 EACH.
(You CAN'T feed the PSU's 600V only 110V (which would then draw 13!!! amps) or 220V)

So 30 units would draw 30 x 6.5=195Amps

I tried running 31.....guess what happened...
I've tripped and replaced my 200amp breaker twice already and even had my service entrance melt and EXPLODE and cause a fire.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4999843.0

28 units WAS (as in actually done & experienced for 6 months)  the max sustainable BUT was WAY OVER the 80% load rule.

42  Economy / Computer hardware / Small farm for sale Quebec on: September 20, 2018, 09:59:00 PM
So yes I'm looking to  sell my 350Th farm located In Quebec
I have 27 S9's all 1 year to 6 months old...I am original owner of all
(23x 13.5Th 4x14Th)
I only have access to 200amps as Que. Hydro blocked all upgrades so I can only run 24 S9's
2 dead boards...one new spare controller-board. All PSU's are APW3+ 1600W Bitmain all are working fine.
In 1 year I have replaced 3 hash boards and 2 controller boards already.
All are now out of warranty
All power and internet cables + 2x 24port switches (Dlink) 2x5 tier Steel racks which hold 3-4/tier.
I also have a 5000CFM floor fan available

Also have
2 Halong B29's with Innosilicon firmware (Decred) bought new from CK (3 months old)
2 Halong B52's with Innosilicon firmware (Siacoin) bought new from Ck (3 months old)

This is just a feeler...if interested I can provide all docs pics info etc...

Price? No idea make an offer...ALL went offline and are packed in original boxes in storage as of Sept. 19th

WOW..
46  Bitcoin / Mining / How to know if you are a Mining addict..Well..when you fry your service entrance on: September 03, 2018, 05:37:20 AM
Just one of the risks of sucking lots of juice...

Was quite the fireworks show...plenty of sparks and pops and a cute little fire on the roof of the porch
Hats off to Hydro Quebec...back up mining in under 3 hours.

Mind you, if they would have given me the damn upgrade which I've been waiting for for 4 months, this would not have happened.
or so I like to tell myself.

He was describing ....ENGLAND AS IT WAS IN 1948 and to a greater extent Europe/USA
He was a senior PROPAGANDIST for the BBC
49  Other / Serious discussion / Re: What would the top coins be if people were sane? on: August 28, 2018, 01:03:04 AM
If the masses of people were anywhere near close to being sane...

There would be NO coins...NO COINS would be needed...MONEY would NOT exist.

(Save as objects of ARTISTRY decoration etc..)

What most people don't realize is that Eric Arthur Blair (Orwell's REAL NAME)
Juxtaposed the numbers 1948 to be 1984
HE WROTE A CONTEMPORARY ACCOUNT/COMMENTARY ON THE SITUATION AS IT EXISTED IN NINETEEN-FORTY-EIGHT!!!!
HE WAS AN EXPERT in PROPAGANDA, WORKING FOR THE BBC and was obviously repulsed and horrified to the extent he felt morally obligated to write about it. He gave many interviews before his death in which he plainly stated this.

It was NOT a PREDICTION
IT WAS NOT PRECIENT
IT WAS AN ACCURATE ACCOUNT OF THE EXISTING SITUATION OF HIS TIME...1948
HE WAS IN A UNIQUE POSITION TO KNOW AS A FAITHFUL SERVANT AND HIGH LEVEL DISPENSER OF IT!

Why does no one talk about the rate of ADOPTION...as in the actual USE OF BTC as a currency...
Well because it is a JOKE..total failure.
The rate of adoption is pathetic BECAUSE no one will buy or use it while it is so vulnerable to exchange speculators and MEGA FARMS who enjoy the cheap production and monopoly over it.
mega farms of cheap electricity have indeed KILLED BTC mining....and destroyed any chance of wide spread adoption.
Equally guilty are the parasitic exchanges and whale speculators.

I will NEVER pay for BTC or use it or accept it.
I'll mine the shit out of my tiny farm and sell most IMMEDIATELY and never upgrade or reinvest in gear again.

BTC died LONG AGO...People just don't understand that they are just profiting off it's funeral.
It NEVER had a chance...the rich banking power elite was NEVER going to tolerate loosing it's grasp on the power to CREATE MONEY.
They got caught napping but greed ensured BTC would be delivered right into their arms. And here we are.
Bitcoin core is OWNED by AXA insurance of Zurich...the chairman is a Bilderberg
52  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Cheap electricity available, need advice on: August 27, 2018, 02:26:54 AM
I'm sorry but you live in a very unstable political area....that probably ends with....STAN
Nobody is going to invest or trust in such an area.
Let me qualify that...nobody except those that have enough money and power to ensure the safe and long term successful exploitation of that cheap electricity....Bitmain is not even close to being that kind of big and powerful. Only BANKS and GIANT TRANSNATIONAL corporations are.
Cheap electricity is of course critical but ....connectivity is also.
Physical security and support infrastructure are also vital.

The cheap electricity you enjoy is temporary and totally at the whim and discretion of GIANT TRANS-NATIONAL corporations who hold enormous political power.
The leadership of your country are slaves to them. As are ours.

Should you attempt to build a large facility you would only attract the attention of the most undesirable and unscrupulous.

Do you really think the large farms did not already consider you area?
There is NO PLACE ON THIS EARTH that they have not already exploited, except those that are too risky to ensure success.

You would be far better off to stay SMALL and quiet. and private..under the radar and serve/help only yourself.
The cheap electricity is only blood in the water that attracts big bad hungry remorseless sharks

HyperSCAM COIN....
Hyper pump and dump
Hyper theft of your Sia coins when you try to collect the Airdrop

900PH on a coin with ZERO VALUE

No serious investor would come close to buying this trap

56  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Launches Antminer S9 Hydro on: August 26, 2018, 12:02:28 PM
There are easy well know solutions to keeping water effectively biologically inactive.
Using distilled de-mineralized water would be a must... and UV is very effective at keeping it biologically inert.
But since water is rather resistant to heat absorption..Glycol AKA "Rad fluid" would become the standard substitute pretty quick I imagine.
Though there are also some more exotic more effective liquids.
But then you are dealing with a closed system that must have fans and airflow and ventilation all over again. Bye bye to your electricity "Savings"

You are correct in noticing the electrical efficiency will be minuscule.
Reliability and service life should increase dramatically...but will probably not offset the huge increase in maintenance costs.
Pumping high volumes of air is always going to be much cheaper than pumping water
And there will never be a better solution to heat dissipation than using mother natures free cold from extreme Northern/Southern latitudes and simple convection.

Further I would speculate the actual added volume/space requirements would be another huge cost for large farms to replace and modify the set-up density.

Bottom line is this a short sighted gimmick. It only give the illusion of increased efficiency.
From a total engineering perspective it significantly increases in-efficiency and risk.
Looks like it was designed to target small scale residential market of hot climates

58  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is ALL mining in China heading towards doom? on: August 25, 2018, 03:45:34 AM
Do you know any native Chinese? Do you Speak Mandarin? Have you ever lived there?

I speak Mandarin and lived there 6 years and have many native friends into crypto bigtime.

You could not be more wrong ..you are clueless about China. They have Bitcoin by the balls.
They absolutely have TOTAL domination over Bitcoin and love it and are not about to do anything stupid to hurt it or loss it.
China is by FAR the most bitcoin friendly and bitcoin hungry country in the world.
News of clampdown on mining ops is grossly exaggerated and limited to energy sensitive areas and small independent electricity stealing ops.
(Electricity theft is a HUGE problem in China)
Clamp downs on scammy traders/exchanges and ICO's IS happening which is a VERY good thing.
The hash rate explosion of the last 6 months has been dominated by Chinese DOMESTIC sales.
There are VERY few places in the world left that can compete with China's CHEAP coal Megawatt plants..which they make at the rate of 1/month
Most of the overseas cheap electricity has already long been secured and sucked up by Chinese Interests just as they are aggressively investing in African raw minerals etc.
The massive expansion of Chinese pools alone is obvious confirmation.
The Chinese Central Committee is VERY active to CENTRALIZE and dominate the BTC market in both hardware AND mining.
AND STRICTLY CONTROL TRADING AND REDUCE SPECULATION ( curb Inflationary parasites)
The massive OVERSEAS growth in mining ops in USA/Canada has been mostly funded by Bitmain.

So say my Chinese friends...but it's a shit hole to live there..they all want to come to US/Canada
