41  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Dark marketplaces? on: February 25, 2016, 06:02:33 AM
This is simply not true, i believe there are more scammers on this forum , then on the entire deep web.
Just make sure you are not using phishing or fake links for tor.
Always use https://dnstats.net , for all your links. Do not use google to search for .onion links and websites.

Cool site, added to my fav's, allways used deepdotweb before Smiley

I have a question about the install with bootstrap, my laptop has been at it for over 48 hours now, is this normal? The ltc client synced from 0 to 100% within 48 hours without bootstrap Smiley

Is something going wrong, or is this normal?

Edit
Last time I checked a bootstrap.dat was taking a little over ~36 hours unless you had a super fast ISP, but that was sometime last year.
Bootstrap.dat is slower than the Blockchain snapshot.
Plus with the snapshot you can open Help and click debug windows to see at what speed it is downloading.
Wallet won't load until the bootstrap.dat completely finishes, so it is hard to tell where you are at.
Press CTRL ALT & DEL , start Task Manager, click the Processes Tab, look for zeitcoin-qt.exe and then look to the right of it at how much memory it is using.
Memory used fully loaded is ~1 gig, you can watch it increase to get a feel for how much longer, but if it is not increasing, I would just cancel it and download the snapshot instead.

 Cool

FYI:
Blockchain snapshot is only a few hours.  Wink

FYI2:
You can also go under c:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\Zeitcoin
and watch the blk001.dat file size to see how close it is to the bootstrap.dat to get a feel for how much longer it might be.

After 72 hours it's at half that memory power, ridiculously slow Smiley But I see it rising, thanks for the explaining Smiley

I think about 500 euro's after halving, but a spike to 800 isnt unlikely Smiley

51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Alt-Coin without ASIC is the best to mine? on: February 16, 2016, 07:29:37 AM
eth is a good bet since the value increased so much, you can even do some profit with old gpu like 280x

but you must move fast because i don't it will last, since many other are jumping in the "eth train"

aside from this it was more profitable to simply buy eth at 360k satoshi and sell them at 0.015...

I had a fucking buy order @ 0.0016, but the price just barely didnt reach it, now hate my life....
52  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What would you do? on: February 16, 2016, 07:23:54 AM
Hi
I have access to somehow cheap electricity ranging from 0.006 to 0.015 usd cents per Kwh
and am thinking of starting some mining biz if it is worth it.
what would you do?

Allways keep in mind that a btc crash can have your losses running in the thousands, other than that, good electricity prices!
53  Local / Mineração em Geral / Re: Genesis Mining is SCAM - ALERT - DANGER - ATTENTION on: February 16, 2016, 07:22:34 AM

Cloud Mining is fairytales... If you hade researched, you would have found that genesis cancelled al small mining contracts after the btc crash, and when the rate went up, genesis came back online, how disgusting they are, it's just as equally dumb to invest in such a company who have prooven to lack ethics...
54  Economy / Economics / Re: + Difficulty + Halving – Miners = ¿…? on: February 12, 2016, 12:57:28 PM

I’m a newbie and have a question:

1) If the difficulty increases exponentially.
2) If in the coming months "halving" will reduce to half the miner's reward.
3) If the projections of various spreadsheets indicate that it is not currently profitable mining.

How will continue to operate the system?

Almost every user on this forum asking themselves the very same question mate. I believe there is no one who can actually give you an accurate answer. I personally think that bitcoin is strong enough for this challenge. I am not saying it will be easy but it will all be fine.

Chinese business electricity  rates, which are almost zero, really zero if you payoff the right government man Smiley
55  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Drugs fuck you up, man on: February 12, 2016, 11:52:20 AM
From what I've read there aren't any conclusive studies that would show marijuana to be harmful. I'm not pro drugs but still it's interesting that there is so much propaganda for something that has not been proven harmful.

The studies claiming brain damage all stem from the 60/70 and are prooven fraude.... They gave mouses weed smoke, but nothing happened to the body or brains, nothing bad that is. Yet when they increased the dose, meaning a mouse would get no air but only smoke for a WHOLE fucking minute, which means that the braincells die from lack of oxygen....

For years doctors concluded that weed killed braincells, while it simply was oxygen deprevation, do your fucking research peeps....
56  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Syrian "refugee" attempts to rape 8-year old Danish girl on: February 11, 2016, 03:15:16 PM
Actually 'we' didn't do that.
Also Denmark didn't do that and also did not have to allow them in. It was kindness.
Your problem is with the US, which even after 9/11 still don't stop being "conquerors".

Hmm no!
USA are responsible for current wars that is right.
But EU is totally responsible for colonisation and massive control of whole Africa.

You can't just accuse USA because they destroyed everything the last 30 years, we destroyed everything the 6 last centuries.

Yes, and also we're to blame because Adam and Eve ate an apple "6.000" years ago. Same logic. Makes sense.

USA is the DIRECT cause of this crisis, no OTHER one than forcibly remove governments on grounds that we're based on lies and fraud.... nothing to do with adam and eve, everything to do with bush and his country of docile consumers....
57  Local / Nederlands (Dutch) / Re: Tien aanhoudingen in grootschalige bitcoinszaak on: February 09, 2016, 05:59:58 AM

58  Local / Alt Coins (Nederlands) / Re: e-Gulden: even bijkletsen on: February 09, 2016, 05:53:27 AM

59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When Bitcoin fails - what is Plan B? on: February 05, 2016, 06:06:30 AM
It is inevitable that the banks join up and create a shared blockchain, the second this happens btc will become underground and will lose a big chunk of value, but for the underground still has its uses.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin Dying? on: February 05, 2016, 06:00:52 AM
What are the chances this coin will be revived? It has no energy left whatsoever. It is extremely boring and is barely traded.

I personally expect sub $2 before June 2016. What do you expect? (PS: Don't even mention even shittier coins, like Ether and Dash).

Shitcoin like ether and dash, ether is the first to achieve multiple uses for its blockchain and imo the future of crypto, digitalizing everything transparant and decentral. Dash has created some industry first on the grounds of anonimity, LTC pales in the light of those two, ltc isnt much, but hey the trade volume compared to any other alt is high, so where do you get your facts?
