Please don't hate me, but I'm kinda starting to like the idea that when/if KMD ends up getting listed on Poloniex there will be 17 less BTC pairs... although 16 (i.e. UNITY not getting delisted) would have been a much better deal.  I thought KMD wasn't getting listed on polo because it payed dividends and polo for legal reasons don't allow such coins on there? I may be wrong -- and i hope i am -- because exposure polo would give kmd would be a massive, massive loss. |

Ive always wondered...
why havn't people used blockchain technology to track say, video game credits (Say, an andriod RTS game) via blockchain technology? Essentially giving players/gamers a more hack-proof method of gaming, but also an opportunity to participate in a growing crypto market by holding a digital game currency that could have value?
It started to float around in my head when i noticed a few members of my family get into some rts andriod games and boast about their in-game treasuries...
Why couldn't NEM be used as a ledger system for such game currencies? And be interchangeable within the game via some in-game exchange? (So, gamers could sell their tokens for nem or vice versa).
Just seems like a huge opportunity there to not only demostrate the potential of nem/blockchain, but also spread awareness and create demand....
There's alot of already established andriod games that might show interest if approached correctly...

KMD is trading in the first page with decent volumes for some days, good sign for the new KMD. Actually we are very happy about KMD, not only the dev team is working hard, but also the ecosystem, superNET, Iguana, KMD, BTCD .etc.

It is of course a pipe dream, but Bitcoin is pure speculation with a teensy bit of usage. It looks like NEM is taking the absolute opposite approach and the usage might lead to speculation. On top of that Bitcoin's market cap is likely to be significantly higher by the time NEM really gets going. If ETH could get around 10% of Bitcoin's market cap while still being a buggy heap of shit that no one uses for anything actually useful then anything's possible when something proven with actual utility, and even some real live users, gets some headway going. So far no alt has really achieved anything. If that changed then things could get interesting. They're all sat promising the moon while wanking themselves away on exchanges and nowhere else. agreed. liking your anology btw. The fake "Success" of many alts is precisely that. fake. and is a good demonstration of the level of manipulation in these small markets. this is what keeps real investment away. I do think nem is the most promising of them all - and i've been here since the beginning - but we're a long ways off it yet. in the meantime, expect plenty of ups and downs along the way. |

1150 sat for the XEM is just the beginning of growth, because with the release of a catapult will actually break up XEM, and taking into account this potential, namely 3,000 transactions per second, it will be a very strong growth XEM to 10k sat
That is what i think, 10k sat is the minimum target. really looking forward to catapult release. @1 XEM=1$ i will tattoo the logo somewhere  If one XEM equals one dollar within three years of Catapult launch, I'll happily pay for that tattoo and might get one myself :-) I'm on that would make NEMs market cap half that of bitcoin. not gunna happen - at least not anytime soon. |

i see mentions of iguana, yet no clear links or places of which to download it.
Even Komodo's website doesn't seem to have any obvious places in which to get iguana, and i'm not comfortable downloading from any source other than the main devs as this is an obvious avenue to having funds stolen.
Bit foolish to not have this sort of infomation perfectly clear on the main post of this thread and/or komodo's site.

Thingamajig, our oracle - "I told ya so!!" But I have to agree that it is the same old record playing again from 2013. People forget easily. Having said that, people could realise the bullshit and ignore. We could see a recovery for the pump to keep going. My theory is; they're fudding so they (China) can accumulate more, but thats just a guess. |

What happened today made me lose any faith/trust in crypto world. Markets are highly manipulated. With the first chance next time, I will sell every coin I hold (aka hodl) go back to fiat and never look back into this scam world. I know what ever goes up, goes down, but this clearly shows that some people are behind and playing. It's dodgey for sure. Particularly as i didn't really see any real advertising/campaign for awareness. I suspect insider knowledge coupled with a few big whales backing the project, which is mostly a negative sign in my mind - centralizing wealth like this is what causes massive price fluctuations when they pump and dump. |

Watching this platform with great interest.
The recent Zcash hype clarified previous held beliefs that i've had for a number of years. That being; people want control of their own money, free of government intervention, legislation and manipulation.
A more anonymous, secure crypto platform is really the only viable solution to this scenario, and with some governments clamping down on FIAT cash withdrawals, the demand is there and Zcash proved it.
I'm curious to know though, what exchanges will Komodo first appear on on release? Is this still TBA? I'm eager to see what sort of interest komodo will spark, particularly as it appears to have fallen off the "Mainstream" radar, making its ICO -- imo -- quite lucrative.

I agree, but they are closely tied when it comes to the manipulation and control of a populace. It took us centeries to seperate church from state. The new religion is now money, with banks as it's church -- how long will it be before we seperate banks from state? (Government) I think a big portion of crypto users are subconsciously aware of this. The manipulation of FIAT the primary source of the fake booms and busts in the modern day economy. |

Well i've made approximately 50,000 NEM daytrading, sold around 720 and bought in at around 610. Took around 3 days but worked out nicely. Depending upon announcements i do anticipate nem to sink lower in the coming months (perhaps down to it's previous 550 range) but rather than wait i bought back in to minimize my risk. It's going to be ups and downs all along the way but the long term trend will always be higher lows. This concludes my weather forecast for the day . |

I suspect it's because the price of XEM isn't margin traded and isn't being manipulated. Other coins have either margin trading or huge whales that fake liquidity in order to boost their chance to offload. This is one of the results of NEM having such a good distribution. When you see market action in XEM, it's most likely real.
