41  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is there nowhere to play NL Holdem tournaments anymore regularly? on: October 02, 2017, 04:15:49 PM
Betcoin is the worst. Their site doesn't work with any of the new Apple OS, but they advertise otherwise. I am running MacOs Seirra so the tournaments load thinking my wallet is empty. Support told me there is nothing anyone can do about it as it requires new programming. So SWC and Betcoin are out.

Thanks to everyone for the recommendation to Nitrogensports. They are great though the lack of players sucks. I really wish people would play SNGs more. Those are what I am best at and there is no where to do them with bitcoin Sad
42  Economy / Gambling / Is there nowhere to play NL Holdem tournaments anymore regularly? on: October 01, 2017, 11:50:44 AM
I am just getting back to playing and I cannot find a site that has regular tournaments. I used to use Seals With Clubs back when they had Apple and web browser support. Betcoin was my alternative and that seems dead. What is the most popular place to play these days?

To think that I would see the day that a single bitcoin is worth over $2000. I don't know how others seem to have 0 perspective on the situation.

Back to buying cheap coins...

Thoughts are it has to rebound. Just bought in with my entire investment budget. So far its up $3!
Everyone who is profiting needs to take a moment and appreciate where we are. No matter what happens. We got here. Nothing feels more validating then seeing $2500 a coin.

nobody should buy anything with their entire anything when it's this volatile.
Times like this are how I have made a majority of my money in bitcoin.
Not to say I would advise others to do it, but my belief is strong and in a worst case I will hold until it eventually returns to the price I bought at as I believe in bitcoin.

Recently I got into some trouble with the wife over investing everything during a scary period, which turned out pretty great in the end. Now we have an allotted investment budget for me to use to my hearts content without her leaving me

So all of this bullshit is just BU?? Really? Thats what is causing this move downward? Surely there must be something else going on!
53  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 18, 2017, 03:05:11 AM
Its always stressful getting cheap coins like this. If you know bitcoin then you know to not fear. That's why I continue to put my funds in.
Buying coin here is simply easy money. Whether it takes a lot of courage or not is irrelevant  Cool

Hey everyone. Well the good news is my wife is very happy! She is back from her mothers and believes I am not a complete fool once more. Sold at $1196 on stamp so everyone is happy.
I didnt lose anything. In face made a tiny bit. She isn't leaving me anymore.

Now all that is left to do is cry into a pillow because I have no position.

She says if I do this again she will kill me, but on the crash we must have this weekend as we shake out weak hands Ill be back  Cool
No one tell me wife

You are the biggest loser I have seen on this board. Are your posts a joke? I'm really sorry for you if they aren't...
I bought my house my wife and kids live in with profit from bitcoin over the years.

Blow me  Cool
Then what the hell is she doing telling you what you can do and what are you doing putting up with it?
THATS WHAT I SAID!

It wasn't well received unfortunately

All sounds a bit fishy stevo. Not sure I believe you
My account is from 2013. I have had tough times here and there from the natural flow of life, but I started storing coin in 2010. In the past couple years I have been buying in and out a hand full of times. With a small few month period of daily trading again.

My house was paid for recently.
I started holding again around here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1209988.msg12806485#msg12806485

Made a good bit going back and forth between altcoins and bitcoin since then.

I cashed out most of my holdings to purchase that house. Liquidated what I had and have since gone back and forth in portions.
It was only with the ETF looming that I took our combined savings and let it ride.

At the end of the day, even as someone who has successfully shorted bitcoin on many occasions. I am and will always be a permabull.
Bitcoin is the future. To me that is inevitable. Therefore in any situation the price will rise beyond where we are at now.

Even if I make a real mistake with a lot of money in bitcoin, I will stand strong and sit until it eventually returns back. As I have before and am still willing to bet it all on what I believe in. Not to say every time I make a large move I am able to keep calm. I always freak out lol

Though no more taking the combined savings. That was a clear mistake. You would think by now my wife believes like I do, but she doesn't see the longevity somehow. (Trust me I have tried)

Good your marriage is back on track.

I'm glad that my wife is now cool with me risking a lot of money on bitcoin - I had to prepare her psychologically first as she is not a risk taker - but happy to see the rewards coming in and understanding that the pot I have built could collapse.
I think my best move is to sit down with her and decide as someone else suggested what we want to have no matter what saved. Then the rest can be invested in bitcoin so even at the worst we don't go straight to the poor house. This was a long time coming I suppose.

Thank Satoshi this situation was salvaged
