I find it strange that they did not accept the ETF because they could not regulate every bit of it.

How do they regulate all of the gold in the world for the GLD ETF?
they were making a statement like the irs did with guidelines in 2013 10 days before april 15th deadline....they strung the etf along
but they are mainstream banker types...they can't give up control....thus it was a deliberate 'slap down' like China does also...I think they are
shocked the price did not tank to 500 usd...as they and most mainstream finance press expected....

As to price....are we going to have more FUD with BU and block size now...what do folk think the price will be

I'm hoping for 2 months of just frigging boring sideways....a little less drama and btc showing some 'legs' and stability would be nice before the

next moon shot....

anyway be interesting to see what the powers that be (established financial folk) and the main stream press think of this...it would be great if

we sat around 1100 to 1200 or more for the next 3 months..maybe these types would get a clue

i especially like the logic to deny the ETF because BTC is currently unregulated so they can't regulate it....nice catch 22 that...they never expected

to endorse it ..just stringing the etf along for 3 years imho

anyway price of 1200 btc and stable is my bet..others?

(in a fud free world..where would the price of BTC go?)

Let's have a look at TA for a while:
http://s1.screenshot.sh/data/2017/3/11/11/c9a472040708fe90fa8de9aae3eccc75.jpg - im new so i cannot post photos :/

Even if we will look at recent trend line there is still plenty of room for dump, not even mentioning the old trend line catched at 162$ bottom.

So IMHO we can go up a bit (oh, already went), consolidate and get some correction - it will be correction sooner or later, but not sure if it will happen when we will be swingng around 1150-1200$, or do we have to wait for range around 1200-1300$.

Any thoughts?

Isn't it, the flow and the exchange of gold, that is regulated, and not the gold itself? Crypto's rails and ramps just aint mature enough, i guess.
Maybe they didnt feel confident, they had a reasonably good understanding how to quantify this brave new value system. Certainly a few, computer-says-no moments, on their legacy protocols.

They just think they do. Just because there are multiple ways of checking gold's price does not mean that the market cannot be manipulated.
The SEC is just living in a fool's world.

I think if it goes back above $1200 soon that it is a very bullish signal.

$1200+ would be quite amazing after this "disaster" with the SEC. The market seems less and less affected by events (e.g. PBOC banning Bitcoin 93493 times, SEC rejecting the ETF).

Let's have a look at TA for a while:

There is no such thing as true 'TA' for Bitcoin markets. There are just random predictions. After an infinite amount of predictions, a finite amount will come true.

All sounds a bit fishy stevo. Not sure I believe you
My account is from 2013. I have had tough times here and there from the natural flow of life, but I started storing coin in 2010. In the past couple years I have been buying in and out a hand full of times. With a small few month period of daily trading again.

My house was paid for recently.
I started holding again around here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1209988.msg12806485#msg12806485

Made a good bit going back and forth between altcoins and bitcoin since then.

I cashed out most of my holdings to purchase that house. Liquidated what I had and have since gone back and forth in portions.
It was only with the ETF looming that I took our combined savings and let it ride.

At the end of the day, even as someone who has successfully shorted bitcoin on many occasions. I am and will always be a permabull.
Bitcoin is the future. To me that is inevitable. Therefore in any situation the price will rise beyond where we are at now.

Even if I make a real mistake with a lot of money in bitcoin, I will stand strong and sit until it eventually returns back. As I have before and am still willing to bet it all on what I believe in. Not to say every time I make a large move I am able to keep calm. I always freak out lol

Though no more taking the combined savings. That was a clear mistake. You would think by now my wife believes like I do, but she doesn't see the longevity somehow. (Trust me I have tried)

I think it might go up after the FED raises the rate next Wednesday. The FED raising the rate will crash the value of a lot of other currencies, and Bitcoiners in those countries will start buying Bitcoins. For examle, if the Yuan starts crashing the Chinese start buying bitcoins.

Well, what's your recommendation for me then?  Huh Play with your emotions, "sense" or so called "feelings"? That's stupid. I always thought TA is the 1st thing which has to be done before investing any serious money into any kind of investment such as stocks, forex, bitcoin etc.

Stupid are people that don't understand TA is just a graphical representation of their emotions. They see the picture what they want to see.

I strongly disagree at this point. Maybe im new but all pro forex traders uses TA for their trades. You will also call them stupid people?

The bolded right there is what makes them *stupid*. Nobody calls themselves a "pro forex trader" unless they are desperately in need of approval. Comparing forex trading to Bitcoin trading is also a logical fallacy.

Testing $1190-$1200 again.

Does posting that chart mean you are a TA expert?

If you are then why did you make a terrible Bitcoin price movement prediction not so long ago? I remember your admission it was wrong was very funny.

I was wrong!!

Wrong once before doesn't make me wrong every time. It is only a failure if I don't keep trying. All I know is I sold at $1270 on March 3 and bought back at $975

Well, TA is never 100% right - that's why people lose imho, when few times price goes in oppsite direction to their assumptions they start to play with feelings or they just stop believing their TA predictions.

However if they stick to TA in 100% of their decisions they will have strong chance of earning some cash, because sooner or later they will learn how to use TA with win ratio abouve 50% - which starts generating profit. But you need to be a real tryhard and learn to lose to learn this.

Despite im complete noob, i can easily see some good signals in last month, eg. find some falling stars:

Ideally posting on this thread for the buy then the sell might be then worth noting after, otherwise its all done retrospect.    I get your point about weakness after the doji but the time frame is arbitrary, how did it look on 4h

They just think they do. Just because there are multiple ways of checking gold's price does not mean that the market cannot be manipulated.
The SEC is just living in a fool's world.
Bullish price in looks, where is collated volume data though.  Price is maybe excessively buoyant to come back so quick each time but its a small market used globally. A reset is a good thing to mix it up, its retraced the price since year start and that helps to confirm price so seems more correct then if it never went down.

Hey everyone. Well the good news is my wife is very happy! She is back from her mothers and believes I am not a complete fool once more. Sold at $1196 on stamp so everyone is happy.
I didnt lose anything. In face made a tiny bit. She isn't leaving me anymore.

Now all that is left to do is cry into a pillow because I have no position.

She says if I do this again she will kill me, but on the crash we must have this weekend as we shake out weak hands Ill be back  Cool
No one tell me wife

You are the biggest loser I have seen on this board. Are your posts a joke? I'm really sorry for you if they aren't...
I bought my house my wife and kids live in with profit from bitcoin over the years.

Blow me  Cool
Then what the hell is she doing telling you what you can do and what are you doing putting up with it?
