41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest to Ripple? on: August 19, 2018, 10:38:23 PM
I think that ripple is a good investment, even though it deviates from the origins of cryptos and what they represent, just for the fact of being allied with the banks, makes it a solid investment, we all know that there is money, you may not agree philosophically, but economically it will bring you benefits, you have to analyze what is more important to you, if your principles or your ambition.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Token goes down. Wait or sell? on: August 19, 2018, 03:31:46 AM
When a currency drops a large percentage in a moderate period of time, it is really difficult to recover, because most of the investors have already lost faith in the project, it could be because of a bad management by the developers or because of questionable decisions, but the project practically starts to fail, at that moment it is better to sell to be able to at least get something out of your investment, now if the fall has been abrupt as for example from one day to the next, it may be possible that they are trying to manipulate the market to make profits.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Patience is the key on: August 19, 2018, 01:53:06 AM
although I would also recommend patience in moderation, since you can't do hodl forever, and coins usually exist to be traded, for example in your 50% profit you say you're still hodling but if I were you I would sell at least my initial investment to recoup some of the profit, From there you see if the market is good enough to continue investing or continue with the hodl, at some point you have to withdraw the money, I have known people still making hodl when the ETH reached $500, that price to me seemed excellent and sold a little, now it goes for $250 and I do not regret my decision.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto down trend market on: August 17, 2018, 05:36:44 PM
I think we're clearly seeing some market manipulation, weeks ago we were at $7500 and now it's suddenly down to $6,200? this is a little suspicious to me, I think the wisest thing for now would be to do hodl not to play the game of whales, only then I think we can fight them, because monetarily it's clear that we have an advantage, we must also be very careful with the FUD spreaders that we can find in the forum, they also help that downward spiral.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best wallet for altcoins? on: August 17, 2018, 04:15:19 PM
You can use a Nano S Ledger, if you need security and confidence, you can keep a lot of alts there and have a good reputation, just using google you can appreciate the number of references they have, I also recommend myetherwallet for the EC-20 tokens that are the most of the tokens that you can earn with the bounties here, you can also have them temporarily in some exchange, but I recommend small amounts and just for trading, so the fees doesn't eat up your profits
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long should one have to wait to sell on: August 15, 2018, 05:57:25 PM
if you didn't sell when got higher, it doesn't make sense to sell now that it's falling, remember the first rule for any investment is to buy low and sell high, if you have an emergency or something to pay, get what you need but hodl the rest, and if you think you can't take the pressure and the FUD. it's best to sell everything and forget about the cryptos because if you keep on like this you're going to lose a lot
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most Of The ICO Telegram Group Has Fake Inactive Members on: August 13, 2018, 11:05:45 PM
That's why I think we should always do a thorough investigation before trying to invest or campaign for an ICO, many things of this system are highly manipulable, from the price, to the real investors or the scores on the review sites, we always have to be alert to any irregularities that arise and try to support us as a community, thank you for your service.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is now a good time to buy Eth? on: August 13, 2018, 10:12:04 PM
Personally I think it is always a good time to buy ETH, I believe in its platform and it has proven to be a currency as solid or more than bitcoin, as I consider bitcoin at the forefront of prices for cryptocurriencies, ETH would be the forefront of technology and platforms, ETH has a lot to offer in addition to simple speculation, such as Dapps, smart contracts and more, it is always a good idea to invest in a technology with so much utility.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What happens to market ? on: August 11, 2018, 08:51:56 PM
I think it's because of the bubble we witnessed in December, that's why it's so dangerous to be involved in such bubbles, we can still see the repercussions and without a doubt there is manipulation in the market, also remember that recently they liquidated 400$mill in btc and that is also affecting the market, it's already created enough FUD and people are withdrawing their investment, but it will recover as it always has done.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SLeepless nights doing bounty campaign is it worth it? on: August 10, 2018, 10:56:44 PM
I don't think that any kind of work or hobby is worth to stop sleeping, look for information about it, because lack of sleep is extremely harmful to your health and shortens your lifespan, so use your insomnia with great care, because it can bring you long-term consequences, that no amount of money can solve.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it better to buy during ICO or Market? on: August 10, 2018, 08:00:42 PM
I think it's usually better to buy during ICO if you really believe in the project, because during the development phase many admins do various promotions that allow you to receive bonuses when you hodl and thus you can multiply the number of tokens received, the truth is that when the token goes on the market it goes down, but you have already received a good amount of bonus tokens to cover those losses, plus there is the possibility of not lowering the starting price.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New ICOs and how to choose a proper one? on: August 08, 2018, 08:23:37 PM
the first thing you need is a coin that has a use in the real world, I see with culture coin that was the ICO that you linked has already covered that, so let's go from there, also look at the whitepaper, and if it is something that is really possible, it is good to have a solid team and the right people for each position, that is very important, lastly they have to have a good bounty manager if you are going to participate like this, because it is very important to be able to secure the stakes at the final of the ICO
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are you surprised at the price of ETH? on: August 08, 2018, 06:49:18 PM
Not at all, in fact I hope it goes up a lot more, ETH is one of the few alts I really have confidence in, even though there are alts that claim to do what ETH does but better (like NEO) I still think ETH is at the forefront when it comes to development, ETH is more like a company. a platform, so I have faith that its price will increase exponentially by the end of the year.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO VS TRADING on: August 07, 2018, 08:56:24 PM
I think the first thing you have to do is to prepare yourself emotionally to dis-attach from the money, because at the beginning you are going to lose, and a lot, to be a successful trader requires a lot of experience and practice, and to have a moderate knowledge in finance, the ICOs is a little easier because you only have to have patience and study the ICO you are going to invest, this is a little more recommendable in my opinion because I see that trading is too stressful.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 3 best altcoins in 2018 on: August 07, 2018, 05:40:16 PM
if you are guided by coinmarketcap the logical thing to do would be the first 3, since they have remained quite stable, now I have invested some on Ripple because it is cheap and I like the idea of online payment, which can replace PayPal, I also invested in ADA because it has a quite impressive growth and I hope it continues like that.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: August 06, 2018, 07:25:19 PM
I think it depends on what you're lookig for: Altcoins I see with current unhindered use cases are Chainlink, ven/wtc, factom.

although betting long term you might want to go for infrastructure coins like ardor, neo, nem

even more forward-thinking I'd go for "coins that connect/link blockchains together" like ark, aion, wanchain, cosmos, icon.

remember that nothing is guaranteed so always research first before investing in any of these altcoins
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you want to know about YottaChain? on: August 06, 2018, 06:06:38 PM
Wow quite ambitious project, especially talking about interplanetary feats when we just got to Mars, although it sounds pretty interesting I would like to read more, we could get some information about the whitepaper, roadmap, how you are going to achieve the goals, how much they are going to raise, if they are going to make  a bounty campaign, airdrops etc., etc. quite interesting to think about the future, good luck!.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Short term Trading investment or Bounty campaigns? on: August 05, 2018, 11:18:31 PM
Why not both? You can make bounties while researching about trading and looking for the best tactics to do day trading, that if prepare for all the pressure that this entails, trading is not easy and most people lose money, that's why many of us choose bounties, as they are much easier to do and do not involve so much stress or risk.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt Investment for 1 year on: August 05, 2018, 08:15:59 PM
I'm currently in love with pivx and the community. Much more so than dash. But i'm realistic and feel it's a coin that tries too many shiny new things. As I can't judge the code quality I choose to go with the relentless focus on one single feature, that monero has. But this is just my method of navigating in a world where everyone is smarter than me.

(But as I said, because I like the community because shiny new things might become battle-tested one day, I might buy some. Wanted to when the office dipped below 1 usd, but hadn't money to invest then... Now just watching the price. I obviously think monero should be number 2 or 3 in market cap of 1 year from now and Pivx should at least be in top 10 in a few years).
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to protect your wallet from hackers on: August 03, 2018, 04:31:00 AM
what I’ve done is have a separate operating system partitioned on my device - so if I want to use the net or use a computer, I use one system - and for the desktop wallet I use another - I will never ever even go to a website apart from raiblocks.net etc

Secondly, lock your wallet. A locked wallet cannot send funds etc without a password. And it still functions as a node even when locked

I would highly recommend at least doing that - create a separate partition and keep your hardware wallet over there. Use other operating systems for normal use.

Goes without saying that you backup your seed. Extremely important.
