41  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where Bitcoin will skyrocket this time? on: December 11, 2018, 03:33:10 PM
It's time we understand the reality of the market and the network. Bitcoin is not a commodity which bubbles up every now and then and corrects soon afterwards.
As an investor grow on your knowledge of bitcoin and it's practical uses.
Promote it in your local community.
Prepare for the digital age that bitcoin heralds.
There is no certainty, and no one can say when the price would skyrocket
42  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Avoid asking trivial questions all for post count on: December 11, 2018, 03:28:32 PM
It's an issue that is common with newbies (members who are new ro the forum), with little correction and research the enthusiastic members would conform to the standards.
Others yet who deliberately ask such irrelevant questions should have their posts reported, and other members should avoid replying as it would simply boost the post.
43  Other / Meta / Re: Give an indication why an account was banned! on: December 11, 2018, 01:57:01 PM
That will make them read the rules and not abuse new account they open for appeal.

Or an alternative would be to stop ban appeals being made in META, and also remove the email address stated for appeals as it appears to not be functioning.
Then create a specific board for Ban appeals, where the community and mods can debate on appeal threads.
This would unclog Meta, and also remove the need to create new accounts to appeal bans
44  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where's the bottom well? on: December 10, 2018, 05:02:22 PM
I understand. I understand that the altcoins are valued by bitcoin, in satoshis. But these assets also have a graphic history, so they can be abalised and studied. as well as have resistance and support, correct?

Altcoins do not generally follow bitcoins price movement, the situation is there are lots of shitcoins with no real product and no price support which Lea on the forum generated from bitcoin.

Looking into the market you would be couple of coins and tokens going against the market.
Bitcoin dominates over half the cryptocurrency market so it naturally controls the market

Also, you should not post consecutively on the forum, best to edit your next post into your previous post.
45  Other / Meta / Re: account banned after receiving merits on: December 10, 2018, 04:17:22 PM
i got merits from moderator after some time my account banned why? what is the reason ?

There is no correlation whatsoever between rlmerits received and getting banned., If you got banned it's wither you
Copy and pasted
Posted malwares or other harmful links
Or is an alt account of an already banned user.

Higher ranked accounts get banned even with lots of merits accumulated.
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto donations on: December 10, 2018, 04:09:50 PM
Bitcoin is a very efficient tool for donations and other humanitarian services, it's fast and efficient and maintains the anonymity of the user. It's also borderless and not subject to taxations in many countries.

And the transaction fee is independent of the amount being moved as long as I still in the same currency, but converting bitcoin to fiat, cost a percentage of the amount being exchanged, and it varies from one exchange to another.
In the future maybe, bitcoin to fiat conversion would not be necessary
47  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are you beginner?? on: December 09, 2018, 07:08:48 AM
yes many topic we can find answers in google only but many of them create new topic here , may be it helps some newbies

It helps newbies and other ranks to learn to use the search option in order to easily find answer to the questions or inquiries that have, and this unclogs the various boards.

Of course it would help if other users simply pointed out the poster to the original post where that topic has been discussed, rather that bashing them.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fixing Volatility on: December 09, 2018, 07:00:33 AM
Volatility is an inherent part of every market as the value of products is always changing, and in a decentralized system with no stipulated regulatory body the value is more volatile.
To reduce the volatility, butcoun would have to have a form of regulation and be controlled by a system and hence proposals and options can be initiated to give the community a model of what a bitcoin is worth.

Mass adoption and daily usage could also reduce volatility.
49  Other / Meta / Re: The trolls have invaded serious discussion. on: December 09, 2018, 05:56:30 AM
Serious discussion doesn't not allow signatures nor add to your post account or activity. So posts made there have no motivation whatsoever aside contributing to the discussion. That was the idea when creating those boards, and it surely in a better state that most other boards and there are hardly spam mega threads.

You can conveniently navigate through those board and find the discuss that appeals to you and ignore those which don't.
50  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why you should trade reviews of crypto YouTubers with caution on: December 08, 2018, 07:44:46 PM
Basically any suggestion, opinion,.advise, prediction spread on the media from individuals or outlets with lots of skepticism.
People mostly act in there self interest and shilling a project might be in the interest of the YouTuber, but not favour you.
Most times the hype they create can mask the product behind the project and give early investors ROI. That's why they do not lose credibility as easily.
51  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crucial time for bitcoin! on: December 07, 2018, 05:14:51 PM
Everyone has an opinion in the state of the market and where it is heading right now.
Trust the foundamentals that led you to invest in bitcoin, and keep hodling. This current drop is a phase and there has been many of these in the price circle.
52  Economy / Speculation / Re: When the Bitcoin value drops to $ 1. Is anyone else digging anymore? on: December 07, 2018, 04:47:51 PM
When the Bitcoin value drops to $ 1. Is anyone else digging anymore?

You should rather use 'if' rather than when, cause there is no certainty that bitcoin's value would drop to $1 and also it is highly unlikely that it actually ever drops that low again.

If the value of bitcoin drops below the cost of mining, then it would be a loss to continue mining coins and no one would be interested in it.

Many times I wonder if the value of Bitcoin is due to demand?

Market forces of demand and supply are the main determinants of bitcoins value
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Things Obviously Are Not That Bad Because Whales Say So on: December 06, 2018, 05:43:46 AM
The article hardly covers the direction of the OP's topic, and it's just an attempt to predict the strategies of whales using the movements in the wallets they know of. Considering that lots of big soenders buy OTC, it's not that easy to track their activities.

The current market situation depends in your trading strategy and view of the market. The reality is dropping prices, your assessment; time to take a break, or store up more?
54  Other / Meta / Re: Altcoin Technical Discussion Forum on: December 06, 2018, 05:31:37 AM
But if the discussion isn't tied to specific altcoin, then Serious Discussion should be okay.

I believe the OP meant, not tied to Bitcoin and hence can not be posted in Bitcoin > project development.
And serious discussion has a strict no advertisement policy.

Hey, I'm a developer working on some new tech. I was hoping the discussion forum would be talking about the pros and cons of different consensus algorithms, possible attacks, etc. Instead it is people freaking out because prices are down.

There are still posts I see there which borders on the technicality of coins. And you can always add yours to the mix,as there is no other suitable section
55  Other / Meta / Re: Is this forum boring? on: December 05, 2018, 06:45:10 PM
There is a decrease in posting activity though, that seems to bring things down a notch recently.

Market probably dropped the interest of core bitcoin investors, as there little to discuss in the situation except speculations and the occasional FUD.
A more active forum does not automatically relate to a more fun forum though, sometimes the drama in here might be a little too much for my taste.
56  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the Exact way to Earn some Merit? on: December 05, 2018, 06:26:25 PM
I am still now trying to earn merit but I fail always so thats why I want to know the exat way.

The idea is to keep trying, not to get merits directly, but to contribute more qualitatively to discussions and to impact others positively, the marit system was designed to encourage and reward quality contributions.

Also learn to use the SEARCH option, you can find lots of useful info on previous posts.

Edit: there is a thread not far below yours on this board which asks this exact same question. The reply you'd get here would be no different from those which has been made multiple times. .

Stop wondering what the forum can do for you, what can you do for the forum?
57  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto is not friendly to beginners. on: December 04, 2018, 12:21:15 PM
People need to have a clear understanding that there is more to cryptocurrency than buying bitcoins. There are lots of potential in the blockchain technology and there are new projects getting introduced regularly.

And bitcoin has various applications and uses, other than as an investment to hodl.

The bearish market is not so attractive for potential investors but I always a good time to learn how the market works at a bad turn, so they'd be prepared for it, other than buying at the crest and expecting the wave to last forever.
58  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best policy to HODL a coin for newbie to avoid big loss. on: December 04, 2018, 08:00:33 AM
Your coins should only be on an exchange when your are actively involved in the market, otherwise you should have them stores in your personal wallet, which does not have a stop loss feature.

However you can use a Coin tracker app, like blockfolio to monitor the price if you intend to but more when it goes below a range or sell when it hits your target profit.
For long term investments you just need to trust your foundamental analysis and hodl it.
59  Other / Meta / Re: Can we restrict user registerations somehow? on: December 03, 2018, 01:29:09 PM
There has been lots of suggestions on how to reduce spam - restrictions from starting threads, higher merit requirement to enable signature, limited to specific boards and lots more, and majority of these suggestions are targetted an new entries and members with newbie rank.

This rank constitutes a bulk of the members here and hence contribute largely to spam. But if we take it by percentage, we may be surprised that a higher percentage of other, higher ranks could be spamming more than the newbies.
Newbie generalization on the forum is reaching an all time high, and the prejudice would discourage lots of eager members.

The system is good as it is now, as long as we keep reporting spam posts. Any major shift could have significant long-term effects.
60  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can we get paid? on: December 03, 2018, 10:47:06 AM

The forum doesn't pay anyone to post on the forum. However there are campaigns which reward posters for making posts while wearing their signatures, avatars or/and personal texts. At present those privileges are limited to he member rank and above, and avater is limited to Sr member rank and above.

You'd need to get at least one merit to rank up and wear signatures or become a copper member by paying a fee.
To earn a merit(s) to rank up you would need to make quality posts and interact in the various boards.
