Testnet Distribution Dry Run: Version 1.2.3.0 UpgradeThe testnet distribution dry run is live and requires the new 1.2.3.0 client. 1. Go here and download the latest client: https://github.com/multicurrency/Breakout-Releases/blob/master/README.md2. To get your first coin sale testnet coins, open your client, let it sync, then select "File->Import Encrypted Wallet Key" (or similar). See first pic below. The chain is long because of short block times for the test net. It will take a few minutes to import your keys as it scans for transactions. Be patient. 3. If you are staking like crazy, you can see the coins you were sent in the "Transactions" tab and choose the "Received With" filter (right pull down filter, see second pic). 4. Balances from the first coin sale are at [url]http://chain.breakoutcoin.com/balances/[url]. These balances do not reflect the 20% bonus. 5. The amounts you get for the dry run reflect the 20% bonus, and come in two transactions: (a) the face-value amount you purchased in the first coin sale and (b) the 20% bonus on top of your purchase. It took way more than a few minutes and in the end (after notification that the key was imported successfully) client just stuck unresponsive, left it for a few hours, but it didn't help. Then as last resort I terminated its process and restarted, now it works and I see ICO transaction+20%. 'Mock test'

SIS mining works well, tested >1 day. Is it neсessary to mine permanently ?
No. It's PoW+PoS. The net will keep moving if PoW drops off. They are independent. How are you mining SIS? I've requested some test coin but while im waiting for it to arrive id love to try mining, the usual 'setgenerate' command doesn't seem valid in this wallet, can someone point me in the right direction for how to attempt mining? Appreciate the help! Interesting project! You can find full set of instructions on the third page: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1254683.msg13480584#msg13480584

Received my confirmation email, thank you! Awesome guys, I have received the link!
I however have 3 questions:
1. Are we only allowed to store in "My documents" or can it be "My crypto" or etc, and is there a Decred Appdata folder to store the blockchain?
2. Are we only allowed one address or can we create more?
3. Regarding first question, if it can be stored in any folder, what stops people from having 5-15 wallets on a single computer inside different folders if there is no hypothetical appdata?
1. Any you like, it really doesn't matter. 2. You can create more by restarting dcraddrgen.exe 3. Nothing stops them, but what the point to have more than one if the address is tied to your confirmation link? 1 link = 1 DCR address, to have more addresses is usefull if you cheated system by submiting more than one application for the airdrop. If you did exactly that, you are a bad boy. Where do I sign up for Airdrop?
When will mining start?
https://decred.org/January 18, I believe.

Retargeting FixI made a new retargeting algorithm that had a bug, causing a lot of chain forks. Testers will need to update their clients. Please follow the instructions below and make sure you use the bootstrap provided. Links to the update are here: https://github.com/multicurrency/Breakout-Releases/You'll see that BAM is gone from the GUI. You haven't lost your coins, I just put Sistercoin in its place. You will be able to mine Sistercoin when the block height hits 4500. PLEASE unzip and put the bootstrap file (at the above link) into your Breakout/testnet data directory and then restart the client. This will get you on the best chain. This update should allow you to mine. Other Items1. There is a typo where immature BRO will look like SIS on the overview page of the new client. This will be fixed today. 2. I am still processing testnet enrollment requests. I should get to everyone within a few hours. 3. Testnet enrollment closes in about 13 hours from the time of this post. All current requests will be processed. After 6 AM GMT, no further requests will be accepted. I will go by the timestamp of your request not when I get around to processing it. 4. Anyone can mine Sistercoin to participate in the testnet, but this does not qualify you for lotteries. You have to enroll with me. After these manipulations I ended up on a fork out of sync (before I had no problems with stacking/syncing). Few restarts didn't bring any effect. You don't need to do it, if you have no problems, like I had. How I fixed it: 1. Close your Breakoutclient 2. Go to ~BreakoutCoin\testnet and make a backup of it 3. Then delete: "database"*full folder, "txleveldb"*full folder, "blk0001.dat"*file, "debug.log"*you will find that it's huge 1GB+ for no reason 4. Now download bootstrap.dat.zip from here https://github.com/multicurrency/Breakout-Releases/ and unzip it to ~BreakoutCoin\testnet folder 5. You can launch Breakout client now. It may hang, after load, but it's OK, give it time. Thats it.

C-Cex - check ICO - check Dump - check
You could sell at x3, but greed has blinded you. The moral is don't be greedy when buying C-Cex ICOs. But the best option not to buy them at all, better safe than sorry.

Almost 50% rise in 24 hours and it`s so quiet here...
It's so quiet here because you can get all up-to-date information from twitter/github and official forums. Also some people might be still frustrated after unofficial thread got closed. John is against pump/dump price troll talks, so... 90%+ of discussion just vanished.

lol ... reading all this.. reminds me of: So blatantly obvious.. tarmy = bitspender going to bail out? So surprising, I'm shocked. ...
If people need to wait stage 3 or even the end of stage 3, probably they will wait that txi before get in.
I think you need to wait till end of stage 3 and when C-Cex release ICO funds, you know "this project has other priorities at this particular moment".

When is testphase 2 starting?
Less than a week. I am working on a custom retargeting for the hybrid PoW/PoS. This will be the last core change before phase 2 and eventual release of BreakoutCoin and the source. Already two weeks have passed, any news or it will be delayed again till fall 2016?

With an 8% premine, looks like decred will be a pump and dump scam assuming there is a pump group behind it. They're saying "0.49 per coin from their own pockets or exchanged for work performed at the same rate," but not saying the hourly rate or having any proof of hours worked, just that their work is worth $850,000. With Icebreaker and Tacotime, looks like it's the coin xmr scammers will be moving to. 4% form 8% will be airdroped, but yes, it will be pumped and dumped with no doubt. Not only xmr, too ambitious project to just pass by.

what does it mean :Online presence with reasonable activity ? valid url ? from bitcointalk?
Decred answered this question a page back, here is a quote: Online presence with reasonable activity: What is that mean?? Link to forum or what?
Hi lin0sspice, if others are curious, you're referring to the qualification to be included in the airdrop. All that means is the project is trying to make sure the coins go to people who are contributors - people who want to participate in the project, and a good way to check for that is to try and allocate it to people who have contributed to other projects in the past, since they're likely to continue doing that in the future. It's a good way to build something from the bottom-up and everyone can participate together. That could mean an account on here where you've been engaged with the issues in cryptocurrency for example. If you don't have anything you think that would satisfy the airdrop qualification, you can get in touch and let the project know what you want to work on in the future and be eligible for it. It's strictly unconditional, since the project won't force people to contribute. I hope that helps, and thank you for giving it consideration! The goal is to spread the network far and wide and help decentralization from day one!

Interesting.. may create some instability and people who otherwise wouldn't take alts seriously may start shopping around! Maybe they will be able to reunite the whole altcoin scene (making giant from a midgets (c) Dor | Synereo), who knows.
