Implementing changes is down to the admins not mods so BadBear and theymos are the only people with any weight for change regarding this matter.

lets make bounty for theymos (5 min of his time spent on adding new section to marketplace section tree)
how big it should be?

There's been 3 or 4 meta threads (including one of mine) about domain spam in auctions.

This forum earns tons of btc, maybe it is good idea to pay to forum moderators to read community requests and implement changes ?

Maybe we should put a bounty for such 5 minutes of effort for mod (old threads dont need to be moved)

51  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB usb miners from EU on: January 28, 2015, 09:02:57 AM
depends what kind of miner you want

you can have 2x nf2 5gh, so 10 gh total

you can dig bitcoin at rate around 1$ per month
but you can mine other cryptos with very low difficulty and sell them when their value multiplies

Maybe it's a good trade to buy some miners now and sell them when the market is better for miners Wink

i am buying in good prices
and selling in bad prices
and giving away small miners to get people addicted into mining and then selling them more Smiley

that is my short story

still looking for good deals.

thanks
54  Other / Meta / auctions section spammed by crap domains on: January 25, 2015, 12:28:19 PM
Hi

Maybe it is a good idea to split auctions section into

1. hardware
2. digital goods
3. domains / sites / accounts

or

1. hardware
2. digital goods

now it is very risky to put something worth into auctions due to worthless digital goods spam

thanks

59  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Finally not loud Antminer S5, very cheap mod :) on: January 21, 2015, 08:30:07 AM

Looks like the OP is a gambling person, according to his banner...

No. I like get btc for free, luckyflop is signature campain.
I put those little money into altcoins so it is form of gamble Smiley

I have setup >200 standalone miners, some farms, i got very big experience with variety of miners, chips etc.
Only few of my miners died, coincidentially dragons and ccdesks. I have modded large chunk of my stuff for fun and noise reduction.

Did anybody tried a low setting, like 300 mhz together with some very low dB fan or couple of fans (push-pull), like Coolmaster Jetflo (up to 2000 rpm)?
It has only ~95-100 CFM, but just 36dB, which is pretty much silent. I want to deploy a couple of S5 in my actual office space and Scythe/Noctua  combo might be a bit too loud (they are OK in another room at about 46dB each).

coolermaster jetflo is very loud...
i tested it and you can use 2 fans at stock
but 15 blade aab is much much quieter
