41  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: January 04, 2014, 01:02:33 AM
Aren't you the guy who was pumping Labcoin and so arrogant/confident how it would play out. Be sure to quote those posts too so we can see for every correct prediction you make an equally moronic one.

Yes, I stated on many occasions that Labcoin would be very profitable if it wasn't a scam. And it would have been. Unfortunately for a lot of people, it was a scam. How is that relevant? My arguments are based on the available data. Simple as that.

Not sure if mabsark is a troll or actually believes what he is posting. Either way I've found that by betting against mabsarks predictions you literally cannot lose money.

Pretty much everyone called me a troll back when shares were going for 4+ BTC, ignored my arguments, told everyone else to ignore my argument and put me on their ignore list, then carried on buying shares at 4+ BTC. Those people lost shit loads of money. The arguments I made were completely obvious yet most people could not help deluding themselves. Take a look at the argument yourself and tell me if you think it was obvious. Those people lost money because they ignored the facts and listened to people blinded by greed.

I'm not telling people to take my word as gospel, I'm telling people - as I always do - to do the maths themselves.

Only if they sold.
42  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-01-02] CoinDesk : 56% of Bitcoiners Believe Bitcoin Will Reach $10000 on: January 02, 2014, 07:02:44 PM
$770 -->$10,000 (12.98x)
looks small compared to
$18 --> $770 (42.77x)

But, I'd be surprised/shocked if it goes past $3,000 this year.

(770 x 42.77 = $32,932)  Shocked
Let's hope for a 2013 replay!

Can't wait for the video, hopefully with sound.  I would like to hear 1000s of blades bubbling in the hot hash tub.

Do you have a price for just the hub?

Too funny. Best thing is that there's some granny out there that's become semi-famous and doesn't even know it...
49  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bye bye bitcoin on: October 11, 2013, 03:34:32 PM
My last bitcoin finally sold! It's a relief. Bitcoin is doomed to fail. It has a price, but it has no value. It has made a few people rich, but most people shall loose. A currency? It is only speculation and nothing more. Bitcoin has not and will not become a real medium for exchange. What remains for bitcoin now is the large holders to sell out their coins, but in a tempo that does not crash the 'market'. It will be interesting to see how bitcoin's decline plays out. Good luck, either buying or selling, but if you do the former, you need it most.

I disagree.  Most people will tight.

If it has no value, you sold it at 0, right?
Don't let the door hit ya!
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should miners collude to steal funds from wallet confiscated by US government? on: October 07, 2013, 04:21:39 PM
It will be interesting to see what happens to the seized BTC, not only from the SR wallets, but also from the 80 million dollar whopper that DPR had.  Would confiscated BTC be viewed as a forfeited property that could be resold, like a drug dealers car?  Or would BTC viewed as a contraband substance, like the drugs themselves?  If the former, then the Feds could dump a metric shit-ton of coins for sale, possibly crashing the market.  If the latter, then roughly 5% of all BTC in existence are permanently off-limits.  Good for us, this scenario, as BTC would get more rare.

Another scenario - DPR goes to his grave never giving the password and the wallet.dat stays locked for eternity.

The original Walter White just got caught you guys

And they both had 80 million $ at some point...
52  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-10-02 FBI Seize Deep Web Marketplace Silk Road, Arrest Owner on: October 02, 2013, 10:15:16 PM
Go to Google News and type in Bitcoin.

Like every news outlet on earth is picking this story up.

Any publicity is good publicity?

I like your avatar...

80 million for DPR, 80 million for Walter White.  I wonder if DPR buried a thumbdrive somewhere in New Mexico...
53  Economy / Economics / Re: FBI seizes Silk Road. BTC backbone broken. on: October 02, 2013, 10:09:46 PM
Quote
FBI Agent Christopher Tarbell in an affidavit called the Silk Road website a "sprawling black-market bazaar where illegal drugs and other illicit goods and services" are regularly bought and sold. In In 30 months, the FBI estimates the site generated $1.2 billion in sales and $80 million in commissions for the operator.

80 million for DPR, 80 million for Walter White.  I wonder if DPR buried a thumbdrive somewhere in New Mexico...
54  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Which USB hub to use with Block Erupters | NanoFury NF1 | BPMC Red Fury? A List. on: September 29, 2013, 01:32:58 AM
My BEs have evolved to this:

The array consists of 70 devices with daisy-chained hubs hosted by a single USB 2.0 port on an old netbook that's running Windows 7 x86.  A BFL device is also in the mix (the netbook didn't like hosting it separately on its remaining available USB ports) and works just fine.  I decided to populate each hub with only 5 BEs, loading their respective 4A power bricks (which theoretically supports up to 8 BEs) at about 62.5% in an attempt to be within the peak efficiency envelope (around 50% load).  The array is mounted and fits nicely on a 9"x12" clear plastic clipboard.  The netbook draws 11W off the wall (120V AC) while mining.

That's a nice setup.  Is this the same hub you used?  Looks like it.

55  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: tips on cooling block erupter usbs on: September 28, 2013, 12:54:58 PM
Forget cooling, I trained my Blockraptor to use the heat for frying eggs and cats:

That's a lot of work for 330Mh.  Points for originality though!
56  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] BFL Fpga Single on: September 27, 2013, 12:40:46 AM
I got ztex 1,15
Sorry only interested in the BFL fpga.

I have one lonely FPGA single left from last years trade-in.  I would imagine shipping it from the US would be a killer though.  Any thoughts?
57  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: September 26, 2013, 02:03:10 AM
I bought a few more shares at <2.

The divs alone are worth it at this low price.
Only if the dividends are maintained.

I think with bitfury shipping and more of the competitors with October/November shipping dates, ASICMiner does not seem to be giving out news indicating it will be able to keep up with this next generation.  It was easy when their competition was BFL and Avalon (2 poorly run companies), but now serious competition has come and minig about to be commoditized.

You can quote me on this - Asicminer is at 2.2 right now.  It will see 1.2BTC before 3.2BTC.

I'll quote it.  Gentlemans wager of 1BTC?  You pick the exchange.
I am more like 0.5BTC sure;)  BTCT the exchange on the ASICMINER-PT shares.
I win if any trades for 1.2BTC before 3.2BTC
You win if vice-versa
deall?

Sounds good! No short selling on your part.
I'll keep to my word.  If you worried, we can escrow the bets.

Congrats, mechs - wager paid this morning

Do you plan on making these in the 1oz variety?

I am a muslim Arab born and raised in Mecca. Married to a Buddhist. I would know if adopting the swastika as an avatar was offensive and I know what he wrote and the way he wrote it is damn offensive and stereotyping.

Lets not dwell in this anymore in this thread. The guy was a jerk please don't defend him. Thanks for understanding.
this symbol is indeed pretty sensitive in some western countries.

Like what was posted a minute ago. Not tilted, other direction. Ancient symbol with a beautiful meaning. About time people learn real history.

It's the same symbol that was on an invitation I had for a wedding in India.  I can understand the confusion but take a step back and look at the real picture.

P.S.  I hate Illinois Nazis.

P.P.S.  enough of the swastika.  More with the dividend.  I want some new friedcat blades!
60  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 15, 2013, 01:32:22 AM
PEOPLE - please realise that this guy Mabsark will say ANYTHING to get you to keep your money in this stock because he has his btc in it - and almost everything he says about LC he doesn't actually believe himself. He's a liar and has been found out. What a joker huh.
Duh. No surprise he went silent when I started talking about betting on Labcoin actually hashing.

If Labcoin aren't hashing, then why are some chips missing from the tray?

The obvious reason for those chips being missing is because they are being mined with. It's funny the way none of you FUDsters can come up with a logical argument against this.

Because this picture is so much better than a picture of a working, viable product?  Derp.
