+1. I would not touch Nefario & C. with a ten foots pole. Or maybe I would, but not for investing.

try shorter sticks for 'not investing' touching. they beat better, more accurate
I would not call James names. otoh he could communicate the whole mess better

Did you get the notification last night ?

no, I did not. thus my post about it.
not sure what is best nor appropriate. I like your approach, send only occasional emails when untranslated string count reaches certain level.
it just happened to me twice that i found 1-2 strings missing. that's all. I mean who is disturbed by a (bi-)weekly email that new strings are needed should create an email rule filter.

wait, maybe I've disabled email notifications, lemme check that.
1/4 of a facepalm Wink
43  Other / MultiBit / MultiBit translators no more notified on new strings, needed to be translate on: October 16, 2012, 08:00:30 AM
topic says it all. not a big issue, just pity to miss the early builds.
i thought being notified in the past, not sure if really or just wishful thinking or where i got this idea from.

BTC magazine interviews Nefario concerning GLBSE closing
 http://bitcoinmagazine.net/interview-with-glbses-nefario/

pity he does not offer all users "claim codes" so that they can present them with asset holders without the need to pass on the email to them.
some asset issuers might not be comfortable with holding lists of email addresses. list of codes with asset counts would be enough.
45  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] Bitbond 200Gh/s - the only 105% PPS mining bond on: October 15, 2012, 03:06:23 PM
Its great to see some competence in the bitcoin community. I think I had about 80ish bonds but I cant remember exactly without having access to glbse, how are bond holders identified without the glbse?

thank you for asking this interesting question

Just for shits and grins I was checking out the http://blog.glbse.com/ and watching the video.... I'm about 4 minutes in right now, and Nef is talking about how he doesn't need AML

and wait when you find his old comments describing glbse as trading imaginary money for virtual shares.

btw at the end of the talk he has a standup intro about backups and recovery plans for events like this one

Hmm, having a working site (or even, any news) would be a definite improvement over the current situation.

i liked the uncertainty more. but good catch, working service is much better than no service.

Perhaps it is time or Nefario to lock this thread? I don't think he needs suggestions anymore.

he did not write any public post since September 26 or 25

53  Economy / Securities / Re: Weekly loss of N% guaranteed - Enjoy perpetual loss with fixed Mh/s mining turds on: October 06, 2012, 09:09:00 PM
how perpetually will you mine without glbse, please?
If that's a question to me it belongs in the PureMining thread (and the answer is that I will pay coupons until an ELE-based buyback is in order).

As a general question - GLBSE isn't important, what's important is the data which I hope is recoverable (of course the situation isn't better with any other stock or bond on GLBSE).

I'm fine with hijacking this thread and welcome your contribution. I value your input because of proven track of record, pioneering the area and I am sure you have a lot to say. I'm nit picking around the fact that an established capital exchange service is gone, business continuity of something perpetual suddenly interrupted. I do not doubt that mining with glbse funded assets is going on, want to see how share/bond/contract holders will continue to operate.
maybe it solves itself by migrating as soon as data will be available for export (see RSM example). kinda important glbse is.

Still no trading.

Nefario not really responsive these days..weeks...

Yeah I've emailed him again, I have him on IM as well I'll try and pin him down that way. Unfortunately there isn't much I can do directly until he takes a look.

I'll post an update once I have an actual response.

please post an update, so far the first entry under op shows status as not tradeable
