I realize that BTC is the only method of guaranteed payout, but is anyone using LTC as their sole method and has it been reliable to do so?  I'm just trying to avoid BTC transaction fees.
I tried LTC https://www.zpool.ca/?address=LQ4BnJzhc8Waw9NtLjsrzvVWAp3g695eev
Got a payout but zpool.ca sent it in two separate transactions, and both were less, than my wallet accepts -- so I lost it (or at least I don't know how to recover it)
However, it was a small amount, anyway.

you shouldn't be using a service that take deposits fee's. Had you used your own wallet, you'd have them.

true, but you shouldn't be sending lower than promised 0,0125, just received lower than that and have to pay 4% in fees to spend that BTX input.

depends on your income and coin type, if you have several dollars a day, price would be way off when you mined it.

NH have plundered one satoshi from me, stats say payment X, sent is X-1 satoshi, what a shame, petty thieves!

Can somebody help please, according to my kernel log I have found 4 verge blocks on ZPOOL (solo mining). None appear on ZPOOL, I have tweeted them with screen shots of kernel log, wallet address and settings, no reply. Can somebody please assist as if I can't get this sorted am navy to pools until I can find a decent thread on solo mining. Yes I've googled the hundreds but they all want you to use someones pool ultimately from what I've found.

pool you can see, wallet address from bittrex triple checked, password settings - c=<XVG>,d=512000

you don't mine just verge, there're lots of coins on scrypt port, currently mined coins - 8 from 52 as I type.

I thought if I set coin to XVG and used a verge wallet that it should be solo mining verge; based on this from pool site:-

"YOU MUST ALWAYS set your currency in your password field that matches your wallet address: c=<SYMBOL>. The pool has mined hundreds of different coins and many have the same address version. We CAN NOT read your mind and possible know what currency you want. If no c=<SYMBOL> is set, your currency will be randomly chosen from any matching coins we have used. This HAS TO BE A REAL EXCHANGE SYMBOL. Do not use a symbol that has an <ALGO> added. Such as XVG-blake2s or AUR-sha or DGB-skein, these are ALL WRONG. These are used only for the pool to support multi-algo coins."

Do I need to use cgminer and set up local host?

and above that:

"This is NOT a solo mining pool. All mining is pegged to exchange prices.
Non-BTC payouts depend on that coin being mined as your BTC balance is traded internally by our system to your currency of choice. If we have not or are not mining that currency your payouts will be delayed until the pool has mined the blocks for you to get paid. If you notice in the pools status that the currency is red, it means there is not sufficient amount of the currency to pay miner(s). It's recommended to use BTC as any other coin could be removed at anytime and payouts will not occur.
...
BTC is the only guaranteed payout currency"

your quote is the warning for using wallet address w/o stating which currency you want to be paid in, not which you mine*, that can lead to lost payments sent with some random currency.

* - you mine an algo by picking scrypt.zpool.ca:port, data sent as password is your payment details with optional difficulty settings.

can I send a transaction with 0 fee from my wallet or change the standard 0,001 built-in fee to a lower, say 0,0001, I may run into trouble with getting paid by a pool that sends daily transactions above 0,0125, when spending them, that makes 8% in fees...

I am disappointed crackfoo, that you try to force miners into being chaste, because some shitcoin is a holy cow and we can dine with it!

They say this pool sucks for zclassic, although I'm giving it a try anyway because I happen to have some really good connection with one of its servers from my location. What's your opinion, does it suck?

Been mining Zclassic for two month straight and it works excellent.

People that can't do shit right are the ones complaining about MPH.

stats don't lie, check the 4 weeks, compare pool luck to zcash https://zclassic.miningpoolhub.com/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks 4,54% vs. 1.03%

cause is either lower resources are committed to zcl or zcl daemon is worse than zcash, the latter can be checked with looking at other pools' stats.

What pool are you comparing here to?
the imaginary pool in his head.

are you retard?

imagine if you could see MPH offers zcash, btg and zencash pools...

There is another factor that I think I have picked up that contributes to the loss of income with algo switching on zpool and it relates to the delay between when a new hash is solved and when it becomes "immature". If there are several "new" hashes and the miner switches way to a new algo you lose some of the income from those shares when they switch to immature. This issue is easily observable. simply mine a coin like x17 and when you see 4 or 5 new shares sitting in the pool stop your miner and see how many of those hashes you get paid for.

biggest factor is when sh** exchange reports sh** price for a sh**coin

ciro1

where I can see a list of preers (nodes) for the synchronization of the wallet - my wallet does not see the peers.

I'm sorry but I couldn't find the nodes list anymore, you should try installing the latest version of the wallet and see if it sync. Please always backup your wallet before anything.

cryptopia has node list, check coin info there.

it's not abandoned, last update is ten days ago, hardest part is to configure it as it lacks active support.

That said, NONE of the multi-algo pools I've tested over the last few weeks - using NemosMiner, in all cases - beat out NiceHash when run concurrently on similar hardware. Two pools got on the wrong side of a hard fork which wiped out ~35% of my earnings so those were clearly outliers, but MiningPoolHub and Zpool both came in around 10% less than NH and so I have begun to suspect NemosMiner is the culprit, especially since I verified that both pools pay fairly/honestly when run in single-algo mode (Neoscrypt on MPH and Lyra2v2 on Zpool).

I'm *hoping* that MrPlus' fork of NemosMiner will help, but if not I will use NiceHash for auto-convert to BTC and Zpool or MiningPoolHub for "single-algo, convert to whatever I want."

try MinerControl* to use all mentioned pools, it has config to use current pool api data or use an average window(60 minutes by default), use master-slave config if run multiple rigs, avoid looking @ zpool webpage stats cause it would block pulling api, use https://miningpoolhubstats.com/ instead.

Guys i have a question and ill be happy if someone answer it.

Right now im mining Bitcore but the block find time is very big ( like 1-2 hours).

So lets say my rigs are mining bitcore and then before the block is found they move to another coin that is more profitable by the program my whole progress is lost with the time mining on Bitcore right ?

Or im missing something.?

You probably won't lose all of your earnings by switching before a block is found, but you'll likely lose some if the time to find the next block takes a lot longer than average and the pool use the uses "PPLNS" scheme. I wrote a fairly long post about the potential downsides to PPLNS in another thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2898687.msg30133809#msg30133809 which hasn't been commented on so beware of any potential errors on my part.

don't spread missinformation, check 1st merit @ https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;u=209640

same question asked in claymore thread, got some crap response...

my fix was to delete miner directory and use previous version.

you can try using us-east. or 17xxx ports if it doesn't work

60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Mining Pool Hub - Multipool. Multialgo, Auto Exchange to any coin. on: February 06, 2018, 11:28:51 AM
Hi everyone!
I'm thinking about PPLNS and auto switch per algo function. AutoSwitched rigs are like pool hoppers, aren't they? 20 min Zclassic, then 30 min Zcash, but for permanent 20570 Zcash miners autoswitched 17023 miners are like hoppers, and PPLNS should pay more for 20570 for the first collective searching block  then for 17023?

So 17023 miners will loose PPLNS bonuses every time algo switched?

it depends on how PPLNS is being implemented, N = ?

ideal setup for multipool is N=0.5 and multiport 17xxx switch right after dificulty drops(with price into calculations) on another coin, certainly not waiting for round to end as it is at the moment, as for PPLNS rounds(round ends with finding a block) are irrelevant.

p.s. in a running pool N can be reduced with no risk for pool op, increasing N will lead to pool op owing money to miners as it will stretch rounds backwards and include already paid shares.
