41  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever Hated someone because he/she win too much, when you are constantly losing? on: July 06, 2024, 10:10:59 AM
If they have their winning time, if we clap to them then our time will come as well that they're going to clap with our victories.
Yes, it's true that everyone has their own luck, therefore if we envy other people or our friends, there's no point because it will only be a waste of time and also because basically it won't result in anything. Hating someone's victory, let alone our own friends. , it won't help us to win either, the point is, don't ever try to hate and be jealous of our gambling friends, because their luck won't last long, so don't be too selfish that if luck doesn't come to us then we hate someone who is lucky. Everyone has their own portion so just enjoy the gambling
It sucks to be hated and as well as the hater. Don't hate others when they're winning. Cheer for them and your time will come and you'll shine too.

They're your friends, sometimes quarrels are there but don't get to the point that you'd hate them for winning.

You don't want them to hate you as well when you are winning so don't be like that.

43  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever Hated someone because he/she win too much, when you are constantly losing? on: July 04, 2024, 02:16:12 PM
I would be frank with a friend. If my game was unsuccessful, I would pause and help my friend continue to win (or simply watch his success) by encouraging and warning against over-involved, which leads to losses..
I'll do the same thing too. I am not jealous if a friend is winning with his bet. I'll also support him and won't ask for anything in return. That's how we should do it because we don't see that very often and if they're on the opposite side and they're losing, we'd give them a warning for them to stop and contemplate their status whether to continue or not.

There is no point to hate someone who is winning in bets who's a friend to you or what if they're winning in life as well? are you going to hate them or not? we shouldn't.

If they have their winning time, if we clap to them then our time will come as well that they're going to clap with our victories.

45  Economy / Economics / Re: acquiring many properties in the name of owning an asset on: July 02, 2024, 11:50:34 AM
I heard of a king who had alot of properties before he died he made sure he settled his children with all the properties and today the children are not carrying their papers around and if they do so for their children
That is the beauty of owning properties. Aside from the valuation appreciation, you can let your children inherit it. As a parent, we all want the best for our kids before we pass away.

Being irresponsible of not doing such will let your children face the consequences of it. Your legacy is what you give to your children so that they can live freely while learning all the grit of life and so as they grow, they will also achieve owning their first property.
46  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is easier, to quit when winning or to quit when losing? on: July 02, 2024, 08:34:29 AM
If I start to gamble with $100 and my winnings reaches $500, if I still have the time to continue gambling, I will continue. As long as I'm winning I'll likely keep going until I start to experience loses, it's only loses and time spent on gambling that can make me to stop. If I start with $100 and I start to lose till it remains $10, so far the $100 is amount that I can afford to loose, I'll also use the remaining $10 to gamble. It's not advisable to continue gambling when your bankroll is drastically depleting but can decide to continue when on continuous winnings.
That is the bottomline when we gamble, as long as we can afford to lose then that's what matters.

So whichever amount we have and we cannot afford to lose that, much better to avoid gambling with it amount.

I guess everyone has that mind that when our money reaches to $10 and when we have lost already, we do not mind to continue and lose it.
47  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: July 02, 2024, 05:21:06 AM
It seems that we've got a new record for the highest contract in the NBA history and that goes to Jayson Tatum with a $314-m 5 year contract given by the Boston Celtics.

--> https://www.foxsports.com/stories/soccer/jayson-tatum-reportedly-agrees-largest-contract-nba-history-stay-celtics

That championship was worth it and had increased his value. He might not have the conference and finals MVP award but this is probably par or even more than that award.

That was never really in question.  He was always going to get the supermax, that is what you give your superstars especially one that just brought home another chip.  These numbers will just keep going higher and higher until they stop lifting the cap ceiling.  Good for him.  That Celtics salary is just crazy though now lol.  Amd now they are trying to sell the team! Lol
Yeah, I have seen that post somewhere that the owner is wise enough to rise the cap and then trying to sell the team.

Anyway, this is always the case that we see for the superstars. It does not makes sense that after winning a chip, they get out because of the low ball contract. Well, in some cases we have seen that last year when Bruce opted out.

49  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mining is not for beginners on: July 01, 2024, 08:52:01 PM
It may not be for beginners but it's still for everyone. While it doesn't makes sense to mine on your own without having enough knowledge.

But if you're capable to start with a large capital and you just want to be one of these so called miners on your own way by starting your own mining rigs, no one will stop you.

As your concern, don't do it without prior knowledge. Take time to research and be guided.

OP pointing it out like it’s rocket science which no one can do or you need extensive knowledge which is not so, only the setup is much needed this days which is not that hard to understand from various tutorials. The most important thing about mining that’s making it look difficult to achieve is the fact that you need large capital to set up any thing close to beneficial or profitable Mining farm or you simply join up with a pool.

Another important challenge is the location, with the bitcoin mining not yet fully accepted in some countries you might have to look for a place that allows this act and also be sure of getting enough energy needs to run the rig. This is somewhat challenging to some people because it demands them to relocate. This two are the major challenges it’s knowledge aren’t extensive to learn
Apart from that laws of a location, the electricity also varies so if in a good location aside from allowing to mine or do activities related to Bitcoin and if the bills there are kinda cheaper, that's better.

I agree to all that you've mentioned that it's not really rocket science at all but even with that. The actual problem of needing a larger capital is what seems to be the obstacle for all who wants to start it.

That's why researching and doing basic stuff is needed before someone starts it if given that capital isn't a problem.

And that is seem to be what about to happen when there are news like this --> https://www.silverscreenandroll.com/2024/6/30/24189707/lakers-klay-thompson-lebron-james-nba-free-agency-rumors

That makes sense if that's where he wants to go when he's tired of the Warriors and being one of the splash brothers.

We might see another duo or trio with him going with the Lakers, who knows? maybe that's where he is going but sure thing is that many teams would like to take his wing.

I don't think that he is tired being one of the splash brothers, they are still very effective as a team, but the problem is that Klay wanted a bigger contract, perhaps a max contract with the Warriors, but they doesn't want to offer him that big, or probably they have requested him to have a pay cut just to keep him in the Warriors uniform. However, it's business and Klay could be thinking that in his last remaining years in the NBA he wanted to get more money for his retirement.
Well, that might be really it that it's all about the money or where he wants to retire if ever but he's still far from that.

And the end of the day, it's nothing personal, just pure business between him and the Warriors and yes, he had his legendary time as a Golden State and even if he left, fans can't deny that he has help them win as a Splash Brothers.
Yeah, it's always about the money and they've got a very limited time for this kind of career and that's why they need to have the most depending on how long they want to stay or if the offers are keep on coming to them.

Aside from that, they also need to consider the taxes and that's lessening their take home pay.
51  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: July 01, 2024, 10:57:15 AM
This explains that it's only possible if Klay will accept a lower offer which I don't think would happen since there are other teams that are still willing to pursue him and could offer a better contract, probably not as big as his contract with the Warriors but closer to that.
That's why Klay is out because the salary that he'll receive is way out of his expectation and if there will be teams that will offer him lower salary.

I don't think that he'd go there. There could be some negotiations but it's always about the money why most of these players are moving from teams to teams.

Some are moving because of their option to move to another place that they truly like but mostly, money.

And that's why social media is going crazy and says that Klay is tricking the Warriors or even the next team that will get him. Sure, during his prime he was legendary and who wouldn't say that he didn't help the Warriors bring that 4 rings.

Also, it will be full circle, as his dad has played with the Lakers and it's going to be great to see him as Lakers and retire with them. But we will see what will be his salary. It's obvious that he will sign if the Lakers front office offer him good money.
And that is seem to be what about to happen when there are news like this --> https://www.silverscreenandroll.com/2024/6/30/24189707/lakers-klay-thompson-lebron-james-nba-free-agency-rumors

52  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or Gold on: July 01, 2024, 08:52:47 AM
The market capitalization for bitcoin is also getting bigger or increasing and it is possible that this will make bitcoin an investment that resembles gold.
It's been called near to gold but they're still different from each other.

However, in terms of maintaining the value of gold it is still very stable and when it comes to profits, it can still be said to be superior Bitcoin.
That's because of Bitcoin's volatility, if it's not with bitcoin's volatility then there's not that much risk to take that shall make it more profitable than gold.

Those early investors of gold can also be in the same situation as us when we've bought bitcoin years ago.

54  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often do you recognize a match fixing? on: June 30, 2024, 10:46:26 PM
However, are they willing to sacrifice their professional record for a quick money gain? I don't think so.
That's why you need to bet on big leagues with a good reputation, as they are unlikely to allow game-fixing since a lot of money is at stake, including their future. Just like in the news this year about an NBA player being suspected of game-fixing; he now does not have a contract and will be banned from playing in the NBA again. That's the price they'll pay if they try to fix the game. I believe if we want to find fixed games, those can be found in small leagues, but the limit is also low as bookies already know its possibility.
Yes, that's the only way to avoid these potential fixed matches. They happen mostly on smaller leagues and amateurs.

The bookies are still listing them despite of their reputation but even with that, you have to take care of your money and don't just go with the flow.

Bet only on known big leagues and sports that has a reputation and has a lesser issue against from the match fixers.
55  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often do you recognize a match fixing? on: June 29, 2024, 09:48:54 PM
It's hard to determine that you're watching a match that has been fixed. I don't know if this is still happening nowadays especially in the most common tournaments and sports.

But with the thought that each match is listed on a bookie, there's a possibility that there can be an agreement about it for these teams to take all the money in the books.

However, are they willing to sacrifice their professional record for a quick money gain? I don't think so.

Yes, anyone can do it but just a few can get profit from it. As you said, you need knowledge and capital, and beginners usually lack both. And profitability relies in many factors that are beyond one's reach even if you have both factors, for example if you live in a jurisdiction with regulatory burdens, or where the energy needed to mine is more expensive than the value of the outcome.
Yeah, that are some concerns that need to take note by a beginner that's aspiring to start mining. And that's part of the research that he needs to do so that he'll get to understand whether he's on the right area for mining.

Or, if he's ready to take the risk and start mining and can manage all of those factors just as the other big miners are doing.

58  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think as a gambler we should allocate specific amount to gamble? on: June 29, 2024, 08:38:39 AM
I consider 1%-5% of monthly income to be an advisable sum to spend with gambling, because it's part of the money amount I would use for my pleasure, so gambling is included on that budget. To spend less than 1% seems unrealistic, because it must correspond to a very low sum of money, unless you have a pretty high monthly income. At same time, it's not a good idea to spend more than 5% with gambling, considering we have many other expenses which can't be postponed.
For every salary man, there's an allocation for your "me time budget" and that's a good allocation for your expenditures for gambling.

It can be in gambling or any other form of entertainment and whichever is your preferred way of spending it, that's okay. But on your case, it's on gambling and that's an acceptable amount.

You won't feel bad if that lose eventually in the long time and you need to wait again for another month to have it once again for that allocation.
59  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How tough is futures in comparison to spot trading on: June 29, 2024, 06:36:30 AM
I plan to learn futures trading and dive into it fully, I've been demo trading for a while now and I've been doing fine and I think I can make the big jump now maybe because the exchange I'm using is offering events for first time futures traders lol

But I'm sure you guys have traded futures a lot, how hard is it compared to spot?
It's hard if you're starting out compared to spot. But you'll need to say that when you experience it already.

I've got a tip for you. Whatever you experience with demo trading, don't think of it as it's going to be the same during your actual futures trading.

They're both completely different and the confidence you're getting there might be broken eventually but still good luck.
60  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling platform require wager on first deposit before withdrawal on: June 28, 2024, 09:34:36 PM
This is the reason why some gamblers are just wanting to get KYCed even before winning and withdrawing any amount that they wish to get.

It's because so that there won't be any hassle anymore and there won't be any additional questioning for the subject of KYC. Most of the casinos are like this.

Whether you win big for the first time or you're having some bonus upon registration, you have no way out with that money so you are obliged to  comply.
