41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: May 24, 2021, 06:42:04 AM
what is a reason of the dump?

Fear. The fear and greed index registered extreme fear from the market. Traders pulled out and saved whatever was left of their funds. The panic is like a domino effect and that’s the dump we’re seeing now. It’s a cycle.
Fact is litecoin is heading back to $100 very likely if the dump continues. This is cycle, the most obvious thing in the universe. It's crypyo, anything can happen. Only the experienced know how to handle this. I'm a 2018 survivor and still don't know how to handle it properly however I realize that panic selling not an answer.

It can head back to zero if it’s a dying project. It can bounce back to 350 if the market realizes how easy it is to make transactions with ltc. It can go beyond 350 if demand for ltc goes higher. It can sustain a higher value if there are projects that will require ltc use so it becomes significant - useful. I suppose that’s one thing that needs to get figured out — how to make ltc significant so its value is sustained...

If it hits 100 or 40, i’d still buy and accumulate. I got into crypto late 2014 but got serious about it only a year after then survived my first crash the same year you did. And life goes on, accumulating crypto whenever i can. You’re right about panic selling not being the right way to handle the crash. Because after years in crypto, there will always be corrections. So it’s a cycle. I suffer shock too but after a while, i just keep my port and patiently wait until the market heads to a more positive direction again.

43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think the price of BNB will go above $ 300? on: March 31, 2021, 01:29:43 PM
It is already above $300.

Now the question should be — will BNB price hit $1000 before 2021 ends?
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Polkadot going to Kill Ethereum? on: February 23, 2021, 07:22:35 AM
DOT still has to show a working concept from their ecosystem. So far, it’s just the Binance Smart Chain that has shown what bep20 does and how much it costs to move funds using their network. Indirectly, I suppose that this also credits cosmos since the bsc is built from cosmos and tendermint. If polkadot can be more efficient that bsc, and have that many dapps running on its network without having the outrageous gas fee, then Polkadot can be better than Ethereum. At the moment, it’s the Binance Smart Chain that’s a threat to Ethereum
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "The Great Reset" on: February 22, 2021, 02:58:32 AM

You see, it all got so wild & crazy we can't even distinguish sarcasm from serious statements no more; I'm awake, I am quite sure I am. Not so sure about the rest tho, who only trust "legit sources of information" which surely never tell you how and what to think!..

That's right... I do make mistakes too sometimes... It is usually when I am watching/reading the 3rd party sources. They could be misleading. But there is also the information, I mean the information you get directly from the source.

How can anybody ignore this statement for example?

https://twitter.com/wef/status/800965291215818752
https://archive.is/3eO3I

This statement is real. It is coming directly from the WEF's twitter handle. Am I blind? Am I retarded? Doesn't she say here that they are going to take our right to remain private?

What about this...

https://twitter.com/BillGates/status/1207681997612748801
https://archive.is/chaxb

How the fuck he could know that? Look at the date. It reads 19/Dec/2019. This is pre-covid19. How could people ignore this and pretend like it is not there?

These tweets are directly from the source. Not from a third party.

Ida Auken wrote that in November 2016 and says that’s where we’re headed. Very chilling indeed. https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2016/11/how-life-could-change-2030/
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Cardano (ADA) coin hit $10 During 2021? on: February 10, 2021, 09:05:34 AM
Cardano is an open-source and decentralized blockchain project created to facilitate peer-to-peer transactions. It has a layered architecture that facilitates smart contracts, enabling a platform that is both adaptive and scalable without having to compromise security.
Cardano began in2015 by project leader Charles Hoskinson, co-founder of Ethereum and BitShares, who left Ethereum after an argument about keeping the project non-profit.

Cardano is again being discussed on all Social Media channels  since it attained Rank # 6 on coinmarketcap. It is likely to replace XRP in coming months. It has received  lot of attention nowadays as kind of Technological development taking place in its  blockchain  and growing number of users , we can predict with confidence  that it will perform extremely well in 2021.
Why don't we try to calculate and see how possible it is? There is a bit over 31 billion ada in the world right now, in circulation, precise number is 31.1 billion. So, if we ever have 10 dollar ada, that means the marketcap of ada will be 310 billion dollars.

Right now bitcoin has more than that, 850+ billion dollars, but everything else has lower, even ethereum as the second closes has 200 billion dollars, requires another 50%+ increase to reach to that level. Now this means, is it possible? Maybe, doesn't look impossible but looks a bit improbable, in a world where ethereum is 200 billion dollar market cap, does it make sense for Ada to become 300+ billion dollars market cap? It doesn't make sense but it is not impossible neither. But let's take a look at 5 dollar  ada? Thats 150 billion dollars, less than even ethereum, I think that is quite possible, so maybe we should focus on that?

My initial outlook was $2-$5 per ADA. But now, i think i’m changing that. Discussions about Eth token migration to the Cardano blockchain has begun to resurface on my fb newsfeed. I don’t know how that is possible or if it is possible to have one token from a different blockchain just simply move and become live on another blockchain but if it can be done, then that could propel the price of ADA higher than $5.

I’m just baffled over the transfer fee at Binance that suddenly shot up from 1 ADA to 5 ADA which is almost a $4 cost.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Cardano (ADA) coin hit $10 During 2021? on: February 08, 2021, 11:58:37 AM
As of this time, the price of ADA is around 68 cents way above its all time low from 3 three years ago but still short of its all time high of $1.33 from January 2018. Would love to see ADA hit $10 but I think it won’t go there yet this year. A realistic estimate would be around $2-5 for me. Didn’t take that from the charts so don’t ask me about my basis.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DOT [Polkadot] Speculation on: February 03, 2021, 03:21:52 PM
At the moment, Dot is now at $19.38 on its way to $22 target. Some are saying that Dot could reach $100 and don’t think it’s impossible since eth was once $10 and reached $300 in a span of 6 months. Polkadot is gaining more interest, it’s highly probable that it’s token value will soar

Update:

Resolved na ang issue ko pero wala akong na-receive na reason or explanation from coins para ma-hold ang funds ko to think na instapay transaction yun. Transaction completed 7:30am. Siguro wala lang funds 😳
50  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: January 30, 2021, 06:52:56 PM

Kalma kabayan. And I think isolated case ang nangyari dahil ang iba di naman nakaranas ng ganyan.
actually kabayan it's not isolated dahil back read ka mate andami ng reklamo in regards sa ganyang quetionable ka pala pero di ka nila i uupdate, kailangan ikaw pa ang magtanong in which i think they must PING us once we have some issues , pero hindi eh babalewalain muna nila para kung sakaling may papasok ka pang transactions ay maisama nilas a ma hohostage nilang funds mo.
and Kalmado ako kabayan, pinapaunawa ko lang ang karapatan din nating mga Users in which we deserve to be updated.

Quote

Well , we have our own experiences and our own views on matter , maganda ng Mulat tayo kesa sa ganitong parang sila lang ang may karapatan at tayo ay wala,Pera natin pinag uusapan na hinahawakan lang nila.

Nakaka relate ako dito. Verified user here level 3 since 2015. No problems cashing in and cashing out mula ng gamitin ko ang coinsph until now. Inantay kong mag refresh yung cash in and out meter ko para safe na ulit mag cash in and out. Di ko sinagad. Dalawang cash out transaction ko. Isang 100k+ and isang 20k. Good ang 100k na-process.

From responsive to almost unresponsive. Maganda ang customer experience noon nung early years nila. 2017 bullrun medyo okay pa sila eh. After that pumangit na. Or baka kaya di sila makarespond agad ay dahil under staffed sila?
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Polkadot going to Kill Ethereum? on: January 30, 2021, 06:00:14 PM
Polka dot is an open-source project that works with shared protocol that enables Blockchain Networks to work with Synergy. The token serves three distinct purposes; Governance, Staking and Bonding. This is designed to co-exist with Leading smart contract Blockchains rather than competing with them. This is very appealing factor for some Investors. It won't be easy for the Polka dot to challenge Ethereum as many working projects are already using Ethereum Network even though Technically it is superior project but  It is already Home of 197 projects those are working on its networks  and many more willing to join it.

This is also evident from price movement that we have witnessed during the past month when its price moved from $2 to almost $6 that reflects great interest of Investors in this token. There are some predictions that within a year time , Dot will be Top 3 on Market cap.
We do not need to create comparison posts with each new project against btc and eth. As far as the project provides more utilities and innovation in crypto market and help in mass adoption we should support it and i do not think a new project can replace long rooted established projects.

I agree with you. I don’t get why one framework should kill the other. These projects are all emerging solutions geared towards making the exchange of digital information secure and efficient. Each have their own contribution and whatever weakness is discovered on one framework, another framework will attempt to solve. They’re all working in the same space and whatever innovation one comes up with, another will try to improve. I think that’s healthy for this dynamic space.

when it comes to the tokens, they’re all speculative tools. What drives demand for a certain token? Coin features, a good press release (hype), use case, drama (lol), a famous person’s recommendation, community support, etc.

So let’s forget about killing and just support those projects that have significant contributions in crypto space.
52  Local / Pilipinas / Re: BREAKING NEWS! Philippine Central Bank Widens Cryptocurrency Regulation on: January 30, 2021, 05:07:04 PM
<snip>

Nasabi ko kasi based on experience. Verified user since 2015. Ang 100k transaction good, processed. Galing lang din from within one of the wallets converted to fiat. Keep your funds where you hold the keys to. Not your keys (no keys=centralized), not your coins.

Restrictions are getting tighter i suppose...
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why Do Some People Still Ask For The Best altcoins? on: January 30, 2021, 04:10:31 PM
Some people first want to read others’ opinions before investing on certain assets. I think it’s not just about which alt is in the top spot as per CMC but which one is secure and povides a better use case and of course, offers the best return on investment
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DOT [Polkadot] Speculation on: January 30, 2021, 03:56:58 PM
Looks like a promising asset. I think it’s price has increased much due to the idea that it can significantly better the speed of crypto transactions and have chains work as a systematic whole while maintaining their independence - correct me if i’m wrong on that one.

Anyway, aside from having an ethereum co-dev start it, the polkadot technology boasts of interesting features. Looking forward to seeing those features actually work and when that happens, its token price will surely skyrocket.

I just hope it won’t end up like eos in terms of price
56  Local / Pilipinas / Re: BREAKING NEWS! Philippine Central Bank Widens Cryptocurrency Regulation on: January 30, 2021, 02:48:24 PM
Source: https://news.bitcoin.com/philippine-central-bank-cryptocurrency-regulation-growth-crypto/

Is it a good sign? Or bad? Or neutral lang?

"The new framework also emphasizes that all transactions involving the transfer of cryptocurrencies “shall be treated as cross-border wire transfer

Maraming salamat!

Ang Pilipinas kasi dubbed as “one of the most active crypto communities in Asia” https://cointelegraph.com/magazine/2021/01/29/crypto-in-the-philippines-necessity-is-the-mother-of-adoption

Sabi nga ni BSP Gov Diokno, “We have seen accelerated growth in the use of virtual currency exchanges in the past three years and it is high time that we broaden the scope of existing regulations in recognition of the evolving nature of this financial innovation and set out commensurate risk management expectations,” https://business.inquirer.net/316512/bangko-sentral-tightens-rules-on-crypto-assets

So alam na ng gobyerno natin ang crypto dahil matagal na nilang inoobserbahan and pinag aaralan. May involvement na rin sila jan. Kaya nga ang daming approved na exchanges and other business entities na pwedeng tumanggap ng crypto payments in the country (source is also cointelegraph link previously cited). Sabi din na may plano ang BSP na by 2023, 70% daw ng mga kababayan natin ay hopefully maging “banked” na while they switch to 50% digital. So pinu-push talaga yang kyc standard.

Sa isang banda, it’s good siguro para maproteksyunan ang mamamayanan but also it’s bad dahil kaakibat ng proteksyon ang control plus corruption! Goodbye decentralization... so may nabasa ako dito nagsabi na kabayan natin, keep your holdings elsewhere where you yourself hold the keys to.
57  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coin.ph to Binance or Directy buying btc to binance using credit card on: January 16, 2021, 11:46:11 AM
Good to know if ganyan nga. Never bought crypto in binance na unverified since sabi ko nga reni'required nila, pero base sa experience mo then parang nag ko'contradict yung terms nila Identity Verification for Buying Crypto with Credit/Debit Card.

Anyway, visa card yung ginamit ko and around 144 pesos plus butal yung charge sa card based on my card statement. I’m not sure kung may kinalaman ang payment network sa transaction but next time mag experiment ako sa mastercard.

Will update as soon as may ma-experience na bago 👍
58  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coin.ph to Binance or Directy buying btc to binance using credit card on: January 16, 2021, 11:14:25 AM
Madali lang and hassle-free sa binance and even unverified users can purchase crypto but may limitations so much better kung magpaverify talaga.
If you're referring of purchasing crypto with fiat sa binance, need at required mo dumaan sa kyc nila, kaya need mo din maging kyc verified sa p2p kase you're dealing with fiat and crypto transactions.

Based on experience yung pag purchase ko ng crypto as an unverified user nung December 2020 kaya nga masasabi ko na pwede makabili ang isang unverified user ng crypto using their credit card or debit card. I was not yet verified when I purchased btc, usdt, vet, dot, and link.

Spot purchase yun Peso to crypto. Hindi ako nag p2p and never pa ako nag p2p kaya wala akong alam sabihin about p2p. But as I said, based on my experience yan. Have you even tried purchasing crypto at binance before ka magpa-verify? And the good news is, pwede!

Ang masasabi ko lang is try an unverified account and then prove me wrong  Smiley
59  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coin.ph to Binance or Directy buying btc to binance using credit card on: January 15, 2021, 01:59:07 AM
Bumili ako recently directly with Binance using a local bank ATM/Debit card (Mastercard). I used it 3x and it worked well.
Amount purchased: 1K, 2.5K and 5K.

I tried 30K pero it failed baka may issue lang on local bank that time, pero i-try ko ulit some other time.

Kung mag-convert ka ng fiat to crypto:

1. Buying peso and convert directly to BTC, Eth, BCH or XRP.
 - Check both coins.ph and Binance muna kung saan ka makakarami ng crypto for your fiat. Minsan mas marami ka mabibili sa Binance. Minsan mas marami sa coins.ph.

2. Kung ang plan mo is to convert fiat tapos gagamitin mo pang trade sa Binance or other exchanges
Maganda ito if you are positioning for a dip. For 2.5K transaction, I got 50.64 BUSD last Jan 11. For the 5K I, purchased, I got 101.58 USDT last Jan 12.

Note: You need to be a Verified Account holder sa Binance

Tama, you can purchase directly at Binance using your credit/debit card sa current exchange rate. First time to do this recently lang (December last yr). Na-max out ko na kasi cash in sa coinsph so ginawa ko sa binance first wk of Dec and at that time, hindi pa ako verified user. Since considered cash in ang transfers to coinsph, sa ibang wallet ako nagstore ng purchased crypto.

Madali lang and hassle-free sa binance and even unverified users can purchase crypto but may limitations so much better kung magpaverify talaga.
60  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Buying USDT, BUSD and other stablecoins available on Binance. 1:1 rate on: January 13, 2021, 05:38:06 AM
Just wondering kabayan if pwede din yung P2P with the use of Gcash/coins.ph payment then transfer sa binance ung BTC/ETH/XRP..
