41  Local / Альтернативные криптовалюты / Re: [ANN] Mina Protocol - сжатый блокчейн on: April 15, 2021, 05:55:24 PM
Cheesy
Grin

42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BNB will remain valuable for a long time on: April 14, 2021, 08:08:22 PM
While BNB appeals to the wider crypto users because the binance smartchain currently seem to have overcome the biggest issue that most cryptocurrency users have with bitcoin ethereum and the ERC 20 blockchain tokens. This problem is the speed of transaction and and the cost of transactions.
This is a problem  that BSC currently solves, and while a lot of people might argue that BNB is not a fully decentralized coin, i think it is worth noting that a lot of users dont care much for how decentralized  a coin or token is, they just want the solutions they it offers.
This is why i think BNB an the BSC will remain very valuable in years to come

Yes, you are quite right that BSC, BNB give to people really faster and cheaper process for transactions. That is why comparing with ERC20 lots of projects started prefering BNB or BSC and their Blockchain instead of the Ethereum one. Of course these advantages look more preferable for investors. Will see what will be in future. But I am sure that Binance will do the best in order to keep the competitiveness. Will the conditions that they give nowadays will be the same or not will see.

44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tenants to pay rent with bitcoin on: April 14, 2021, 06:53:14 PM
In recent times so many exciting events/news have been happening with bitcoin,  we have seen how bitcoin have gain institutional adoption with Tesla taking the lead and the installation of bitcoin ATMs for easy access to the digital global currency BTC.
The latest is a real estate firm optioning for tenants to pay rent using bitcoin.
https://www.cnbc.com/2021/04/07/rick-carusos-company-to-begin-accepting-rent-payments-in-bitcoin.html?utm_term=Autofeed&utm_medium=Social&utm_content=Crypto&utm_source=Facebook#Echobox=1617831770
This indeed are great indications of bitcoin mainstream adoption/usage.

Yes, Tesla, Jack Dorsey's Square, Morgan Stanley have joined this accepting Bitcoin position and Goldman Sachs is expected to announce something interesting and good. In my opinion it is a good tendency. Big players give positive sign and example for the whole world.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My first two ICOs will be Mina and ECO. Good idea? on: April 14, 2021, 12:40:50 PM
will try to buy mina and its only 500$. You will not cry if you lose 500$
And it's over. Have you got a spot on mina? I were participating in mina and I got nothing from there lol

ECO is only available for US investors. It's not available for global investors like MINA and ECO already funded by some big ventures capital as well.
I hope OP can get into the mina sale.

There are more than 300k investors participate din the mina sale. That's crazy number. I doubt he can take a spot on the mina sale.

Yes, when I saw the number of investors to participate and the number in this endless queue I was shocked. Sometimes it seems to me that participating in such events every day is going to be harder and harder. There are too many people that wanted to be the luckiest. It is not a surprise, Mina looks very perspective.

47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Honest opinion poll about the potential of NFT on: April 13, 2021, 08:34:53 PM
Hi all,

Let's do a honest opinion poll about the potential of NFT.

Question - what the future holds for NFT?

In my personal experience, I have received mixed reactions from different type of people on this same question. So I want to know the view of this community.

Vote on!

At first glance this direction that nowadays is really hot may really become something in high demand even after some long period of time, because there are lots of artists, photographers and famous people that nowadays create their unique NFTs and it may really live for a long time. But what the price of such tokens may be in future nowadays personally for me it is hard to predict. May be it will be high, may be not all NFTs that are so massively created nowadays will be alive in future. .
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving asset in bitcoin is much more better than saving in banks on: April 13, 2021, 08:21:11 PM
I just got to find out the importance of saving asset in bitcoin. As of last year October I just decided to split my savings into two and used half of it to buy bitcoin then took half to bank and deposited as fixed deposit which means I won't be taking the money for a period of time and bank will in return be giving me little percentage which I will take as profit, recently I tried comparing the profit I get from both bank and bitcoin, I found out the profit I got from bank is way low compared to what I got from bitcoin, then I decided to stop keeping my assets  in banks rather I keep it in bitcoin which later turns out to be an investment for me.

Everything depends on personal aims and desires I would say in a such a way. Of course it depends what bank and in what exactly country the person use. But personally I do not prefer banks after I have learned the cryptocurrency world. But of course everyone makes personal choice. And should remember that investment into cryptocurrency is not alike the banks deposits or something like that.
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You Think Bitcoin Save Your Economy on: April 13, 2021, 01:15:23 PM
With the recent situation with the pandemic going on. Has created many economic challenges for all.
Do you think Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency could really help people bring back their economy?

This be in the form of trading. Use of the currency? creation of? education. etc

What are your thoughts on this. Could this cryptocurrency help people give some new direction?

In my opinion cryptocurrency and Bitcoin itself have already gave new direction and lots of opportunities long ago when they appeared. And of course our world is being transformed nowadays. But cryptocurrency has no impact on global economy, it changed the way of thinking for lots of people worldwide, and gave new ways of reaching their aims, getting profit or fulfilling the idea into life. In case the governments accepted the crypto in addition to national assets so cryptocurrency will participate in building and in influencing on the economy's, but nowadays it is still on the way of it's developing.
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will governments ban Bitcoin like they did with Gold? on: April 12, 2021, 12:07:17 PM
Many people have been talking about a full government ban towards Bitcoin. Some said that Bitcoin could be banned the same way Gold was banned a couple of years ago. This is to prevent people from using Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on top of Fiat. After all, governments want to control people's money. Something that's decentralized and outside the reach of the government, should be banned from the face of the Earth (according to governments' mindset).

What do you think? Will governments (especially the US government) ban Bitcoin like they did with Gold? Or is it too late to do something about it? Will Bitcoin survive if all governments unanimously agree to ban its usage worldwide? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Smiley

In theory everything in our world may happen. And in history and nowadays we can find proofs to that. Sometimes very unexpected things happen. Of course the influence is strong enough on lots of processes governments of different countries and united organisations have, despite we all would not like it to be so. But in my opinion in case they had such a strong desire to ban crypto worldwide, they would have done it already. In most cases the question with crypto even is profitable sometimes for someone's PR, sometimes for other things.
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Cryptocurrency with visa and mastecard on: April 12, 2021, 11:53:50 AM
Coming legal legit.
So what's the next step once the cryptocurrency is legal?

First of all it depends on concrete country and their inner policy - what concrete step as for the cryptocurrency they will accept and require from their citizens. But of course the official taxes and declaring will be implemented for crypto and may be some limits or something else. How do you think, what the government is interested mostly in?))) the other thing is what will do crypto holders in the situation with all the government's requirements. And I can assure you that it will not be totally and throughout the world.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My first two ICOs will be Mina and ECO. Good idea? on: April 11, 2021, 08:38:45 PM
First of all you should pass KYC procedure on Coinlist, it is required. In case you have done it, so it is good, because it will be very soon, in a couple of days.
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Chipotle free Bitcoin giveaway on: April 04, 2021, 10:38:30 AM
The famous US based restaurant Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc., often known simply as Chipotle, is an American chain of fast casual restaurant's specializing in tacos and Mission burritos have announced free Bitcoin giveaway on April's fool day for everyone. No they are not accepting btc as payment instead, Chipotle is giving away $100,000 worth of bitcoin on Thursday to celebrate National Burrito Day.

This was the statement by the Chipotle:
Quote
To win, Chipotle (CMG) fans can visit the website BurritosOrBitcoin.com launching Thursday to try to guess a valid six-digit code. Each player gets 10 tries during the contest, which runs from noon to 9 pm ET. Correct guesses could win up to $25,000 in bitcoin ... or a free burrito, as Chipotle is also giving away $100,000 in food.

There will be total, 53 people could actually win the bitcoin: 50 fans will win $500 in the cryptocurrency, and 3 will win $25,000. And 10,000 fans will win one burrito.Actually they have partnered with the famous programmer Stefan Thomas who lost his Bitcoins worth $220 million recently due to lost of hard drive password and he is left with only 3 attempts provided by the wallet to get ownership of his funds back. This was interesting move on his part as he is trying new ways to get his coins back once again.

The Company claimed that although the offer is made on April fools day but it's not a prank on customer and they are giving such prizes to the winners and free burrito to customers. It is first time a restaurant is involved in crypto giveaway of such amounts and it is showing another positive signs for Bitcoins growth.

This burrito chain Chipotle has over 2,600 locations, including 76 restaurants in New Jersey. They decided to celebrate National Burrito Day in a really unusual way) Every year this day is celebrated on the first Thursday of April. This year it coincided with the Fool's Day)) May be that's why lots of people decided it was a joke)) But it was really a cool step. They sure us that it is the first U.S. restaurant to hold a cryptocurrency Giveaway. It is very likely to be true.
54  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paris Hilton has joined Bitcoin’s “laser eyes to $100,000” on: April 04, 2021, 09:57:25 AM
OK, which one of you did this? This here is her actual profile picture in Twitter. Paris Hilton now has currently joined the Bitcoin community’s “laser eyes to $100,000”. I believe Bitcoin has reached its own success in becoming a household name. The narratives and the memes of the HODLers can be sometimes stupid, but they were good enough to reach more people. Cool

Yes, this trend has changed the "tothemoon" to this "lazereyes" one nearly in the end of February of this year. It is not a great surprise that  Paris Hilton in this trend also like lots of other famous people. Bitcoin attracts the attention of publicity and in my opinion it is not bad that its popularity is becoming higher. And very often some not wise things at first glance are very resultive in final))

56  Local / Альтернативные криптовалюты / Re: [ANN] Mina Protocol - сжатый блокчейн on: April 01, 2021, 08:21:23 PM

57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people care who Satoshi is/was? on: April 01, 2021, 08:13:03 PM
Why do people care who Satoshi Nakamoto is/was? It's like wondering the name of the person that created the wheel. Sure, I suppose I would be curious about the name of the inventor of the wheel, if nothing else to raise a beer to them from time to time, but ultimately the wheel is the important part of the story.

In my opinion not all people care too much who really Satoshi is. But of course in most cases people are interested in the invention mostly, and in the personality may be they are just curious and that is all. Banal curiosity. Those who are interested mostly in the Bitcoin and its nature and future destiny they do not care about the real or fake personality of Satoshi. And in case using a wheel every day a person do not even remember the name of its creator. The same is with Bitcoin and Nakamoto.
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal created crypto checkout service!! on: April 01, 2021, 02:36:53 PM
So is it like a bitcoin payment gateway? Will the customers covers the network fees, plus paypal fees?
Or it’s only available for paypal users who already converted their fiat to bitcoin on their paypal app before?
Also, paypal is legally accepted in countries where cryptocurrecy was banned as a medium of transactions, how it will works?

Edited:
“Customers who hold bitcoin, ether, bitcoin cash and litecoin in PayPal digital wallets will now be able to convert their holdings into fiat currencies...”

Yes, news are cool at first glance before you starting the analysis of this situation. There are more questions than answers as usual. When the PayPal announced their acceptance of Bitcoin everyone really was pleasantly surprised till first users learning the question deeper. Let's wait and will see. The nuance with countries where crypto is forbidden but PayPal works really is unclear. Something tells me  that news sounds brighter than the reality will be.
59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying 1 BTC is ‘like owning 60 cars? on: April 01, 2021, 02:05:23 PM
Francisco Blanch has made some interesting statements with the idea that he wants to destroy bitcoin, which has provoked bitcoin fans!
He has said that bitcoin as a wealth is not suitable for storage and is even weaker in financial transactions than people think. It is only able to process 1,400 transactions per hour, while the visa is processed with 236 million transactions.Francisco Blanch also considers bitcoin biodegradable due to its high energy consumption!
What do you think about it?

Source:https://cointelegraph.com/news/bank-of-america-analyst-slams-bitcoin-buying-1-btc-is-like-owning-60-cars

The article's meaning about Bitcoin and cars, especially that concrete phrase from the analyst : "A single Bitcoin purchase at a price of ~$50,000 has a carbon footprint of 270 tons, the equivalent of 60 ICE [petrol] cars" . -  It was not talked about the parallel between owing 60 cars and buying 1 BTC. But he compared the harmful impact of Bitcoin with 60 petrol cars, that their carbon footprint is the same. The other moment is that there are really lots of more harmful things than Bitcoin and different analysts like this one do nothing to minimise the harmful impact of that directions.
60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin halal? on: April 01, 2021, 01:46:49 PM
Really this question is not so easy as it seems to be at first glance. The hardest questions are those where religion is present, and especially where the rules or points of laws are with double meaning or without a fine line between yes and no. But it is not only in your country such a situation with crypto. Lots of countries have lots of ambiguous laws of such kind, where the user stays with lots of questions, and lots of them even do not connected with crypto. And the reason is not in the religion mostly.
