401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CRYPTO BULLION (CBX) w/ PoSP | Est. 2013 | Vault v2.3.1 available now! on: January 29, 2016, 02:27:25 PM
We have a couple of projects that need assistance. If anyone from the community is interested and has the necessary skill set, please reach out to me. Pay will be in CBX and to be discussed.

1. Logo redesign project - Looking for someone to help recreate our CBX logo. This could be a permanent position on the core team as work of this type is always needed (banners, splash screen, etc)

2. Promotional Video Creator - Looking for someone able to create some educational/promotional videos for CBX. The first one would be a video to explain PoSP.

3. Website design - It is time we start work on redesigning the website with a fresh new look and to better organize our wealth of information.

Also, volunteers are always needed so if you have a particular skill set and want to assist with CBX, please reach out and let us know what your skills are and how you envision improving CBX. I am happy to award bounties.

A few really exciting projects developing here simultaneously and interestingly the primary barrier to success for each is getting the community and others to understand them.

PoSP is live and working but many still do not understand why it is a game changer...

PoV has some test examples already logged in the blockchain but many still have questions of how it adds value...

P2P trading has logged its first official trade but many still don't understand the purpose and goal...

3 blockbuster ideas and projects in my opinion, we just have to keep developing on the ideas and educating the community even if its one individual at a time.

If anyone has questions on these concepts, please ask.

Learn and then make it a daily goal to try to educate someone else.

Suggestions of ways to better explain these projects are of course welcomed.

I for one would love to see a series of short informative videos that can summarize these concepts clearly and concisely in a very easy to understand manner.

Here is the calculation for PoSP block reward (from the white paper).

CBX PoSP block gains have reached .04 just now...

Let's celebrate!!!!

 Cheesy
So, everyone who's vault is open is getting .04, now.

So, the more CBX one has, the more ".04s" he / she receives in a certain period of time?

For example, someone with 500 CBX might receive 2 x .04 in an hour, while someone with 5000 CBX will receive 20 x .04 in the same hour?

That is correct. 0.04 is the PoSP reward per block (target block time is 65 seconds). The more CBX you have staking, the more likely you are to get the next PoSP block.
How do you setup how much you have staking. For example, the person with 5000, how does he / she set it up so that they get the best return on the 5000?

Well you have to play around to find what works best but a good starting point (and the easiest move) if you have 5000 would be to send them all to one address so they all start off with the same age. 1 hour later, you will get your first PoSP block (as that is a substantial chunk of coin that will stake as a priority) and the 5000 CBX will be split into 2 groups of 2500 CBX. An our later those 2 groups will stake and then split again into 4 groups of 1250, etc.

Each time you stake, those CBX will continue to get split into 2 groups until they get to the 500 CBX threshold at which point they will stop splitting in half. Also, any groups of less than or equal to 500 CBX will be grouped together automatically by the Vault.

Another option would be to create 5 addresses and send 1000 CBX to each and let them start staking and splitting from there, etc.

14.1% Staking...

=

14.2% annual interest rate for those staking their CBX now! Quite a nice ROI versus the 2% annual inflationary growth of the money supply.

Load up and fire up your Vaults and get staking guys, great opportunity!

P2P trade proposition opened on the CBX forum http://forum.cryptobullion.io/index.php?topic=5014.msg5470#msg5470

[Squirms in frustration] Long weekend here. Gotta get My Guy to help me figure out both the P2P exchange and Banx. (Still can't sign up on either.) Full of enthusiasm for P2P still! (Working up some reserves of CBX and Btc for the project.)

'All bitcoin proceeds from sales will be put into buy orders on exchanges supporting CBX.' Splendid model! And 'Coinmarketcap average price'? Great. I'll grab my calculator.

Mark

Mark,
Are you having trouble accessing the CBX forum?

Couple quick tasks for those in the community so inclined to help out:

Now that PoSP is fully implemented, it is a great time for us as a community to reach out to new exchanges and service providers to educate them on CBX.

Let's start with Shapeshift.io and Poloniex:

Other suggestions are welcome but these are a good start Smiley

100 CBX for .074? I accept, to get the ball rolling.

Does anyone else have trouble registering at Banx.io? It just won't register me. The Cryptopia split: at this second: about 690-565.

Post your Btc address, and I will send first.

Mark (IndiaMikeZulu), Australia

Sorry IMZ I had to go to sleep.

Still an average of .074 http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/cryptogenic-bullion/#markets

181n9nss6WFRbkAAtCdBpj4gvN32EdtNax

I was having trouble with BANX from time to time while using google chrome , BANX seems to run smoother using Firefox.

P.S If I was certain the CBX address was still active in your sig I would of sent already  Smiley

EDIT: Seems other users of Banx.io were experiencing problems, looks like the problem is fixed now.

Guys! There is someone willing to part with large amounts of CBX at Cryptopia, for some odd reason, at very low prices... You can go get your inexpensive CBX there, for an amazing bargain, and better take advantage of PoSP.

Indeed Ben. The only CBX sales of size are on Cryptopia and appear to be from the same seller. Once this person has been bought out, it looks like clear sailing for CBX market cap to rise substantially. Get them while you can...

EDIT:
~5k CBX available at Cryptopia between .00069 -.0007999 then:
- 110 CBX to 0.002 on Cryptopia
- 307 CBX to 0.002 on Yobit
- 736 CBX to 0.002 on Banx

@ 0.002
1 CBX = $0.84
Market cap would be $814,800
CBX would be in 44th place per coinmarketcap

Hey guys,
I have created a new board on the CBX forum for p2p trading. Feel free to use it.

CBX interest rate per PoSP based on the last 1k blocks is just over 10% per year (5 times the annual monetary inflation rate). Good time to stake right now.

0.02/0.196 = 10.2% PoSP Earning Rate (current)

Also, there is about 5k CBX for sale on Cryptopia that the owner is missing out on this stake rate right now. Anyone who purchases these and moves them to their personal Vault can start earning at the 10% per year current PoSP payout rate in 1 hour. Nice opportunity.

my wallet crashes every couple hours, giving me a c++ runtime error.

What version are you using?
version 2.3.1.0     i believe is the current version

Ok, thank you for the feedback. We are working on a new Vault that will help to address the issue.

In the meantime, you can improve this temporarily by consolidating your funds into a couple of groups of CBX that will be aged the same so as to minimize the number of inputs your Vault is handling. Use the Bullion Control feature. Here is a guide that Killiz had put together to walk you through the process. Please let me know how you make out and if you need any assistance.

A very interesting thing is occurring presently resultant to a few stars aligning.

1. Cryptsy is down and out for the foreseeable future and with it are 114,000+ CBX (11.75% of existing supply) held and now trapped there. It is reasonable to assume that a substantial portion of CBX owners who were looking to sell, had the majority if not all of their CBX holdings sitting at Cryptsy for that purpose. So basically those CBX owners with "weak hands" have been removed from the market and the already scarce supply of CBX available has been dramatically reduced even further.

2. Implementation of PoSP has not only created an eye-catching, unique point of differentiation and innovation for CBX, but more importantly is an evolutionary step ahead of what other cryptocurrencies are doing while fulfilling the strayed from promises of Satoshi's Bitcoin. PoSP has amplified the desirability of owning CBX for its function as a store of wealth with interest earnings potential far exceeding its inflationary rate. This results in less CBX for sale as savvy owners realize they can contribute to a secure and efficient network and get compensated for their service. As their Vault grows, so do their chances for earning more PoSP so the decentralization movement of CBX out of exchanges and cold storage and into personal Vaults continues to snowball.

3. There is little to no CBX available for sale. The 3 exchanges that presently trade CBX have about 1 BTC worth of CBX for sale before the 0.001 threshold with really no substantial quantities looking ahead in the order books.

A lot of upward pressure is brewing in a bit of a perfect storm.
416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: V2.3 UPDATE w/ PoSP | CRYPTO BULLION (CBX) | Est. 2013 on: January 15, 2016, 05:40:54 PM
And this my friends is why decentralization is so critical.
http://www.engadget.com/2016/01/15/mike-hearn-quits-bitcoin/

PoSP operates in such a manner that it prevents the centralization that has occurred in Bitcoin (and is the natural progression for all PoW systems).

PoSP encourages, rewards and fosters an environment of true decentralization by removing the financial barriers of entry to participate in generating new coins and confirming transactions.

With Bitcoin you have 2 distinct groups; users (investors and exchangers) and creators (miners and transaction confirming parties). Users are dependent on creators and creators are concerned with their own financial interests - sound familiar?

With CBX and PoSP, users and creators are the same entity so there is no conflict of interest. Everyone can easily join in and participate in the network by simply obtaining some CBX and leaving it in their online and unlocked Vault where it will operate to confirm transactions and secure the network thereby earning the owner a reward of a portion of the newly created CBX.

Guys, we have an incredible evolution of the crypto currency concept in our hands. It's hard not to get more and more excited about this everyday as we watch events play out as envisioned when creating the concepts and solutions behind PoSP.

Enjoy the ride guys, this will be fun!

Any news on the wallet update? It is staking just fine, but it is eating up to 3 Gb of RAM...

We have been making excellent progress and are getting close to an official release... Did you get v2.3.1 that Alex made available to the public for testing? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=951753.msg13511046#msg13511046
