401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I can't get the reasoning behind many giveaways on: August 27, 2017, 01:56:24 PM
I guess the giveaways are a way to attract investors, and some want to make sure that they are giving these giveaways to those who are potential investors, and not only to those who are bounty hunters and are hungry or greedy to collect coins. In a way yes, it is unfair to the "normal" people who don't have that much ETH or coins in their wallets but business is business and that's how you play the game.
402  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you guys withdraw your bitcoins to cash? on: August 27, 2017, 01:53:03 PM
Here in our country we have this application in our phone coins.ph. In here we can send coins to everyone that's if they've given their Bitcoin address. We can also receive coins from them. We can pay bills using coins. It is much more convenient than going to billing centers. We can also buy load through this. We can also the conversion of bitcoin to our currency. And it has a history of my transactions. In conversion we convert bitcoin to our currency and we cash it out. It is very convenient to use this application and this bitcoin.

Also, we can exchange btc automatically and transfer it to our or any bank account. Or, we may have it cashed out and we may receive this cash through remittance centers or cardless ATMs. This local exchange wallet allows us to exchange bitcoin to our local currency easily, without having to transfer from wallet to wallet, or a different exchange. I heard that two new cryptocurrency exchanges will open up soon so this would add up to our options for us filipinos.
403  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as a way of avoiding to change money when travelling abroad on: August 27, 2017, 01:40:54 PM
Yes I agree with I think that it would be good for all those who own bitcoin out there and it would be very convenient for them when they travel. I've been through the struggle of having to have your fiat exchanged to the currency of the country you are going to, since our local currency is not accepted worldwide. Its a hassle trying to look for an exchange with minimal rates, comparing one from another. Also, having to mentally compute the prices is also painstaking. I like your idea but many implementations have to be done first before bitcoin may be a universal currency.
404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Asia on: August 25, 2017, 11:13:11 AM
In my country (the Philippines, which is in Asia), bitcoin is recognized but not yet accepted accepted as a paymnet system in establishments unlike in the other countries. However, their are exchanges and just recently, two more exchanges will open up. Hopefully this would pave the way towards more adoptions of bitcoin in the country.

I'm not so sure with the other asian countries, but I heard that it is accepted and cryptocurrency is recohpgnized as legal in Japan. Efforts have been made to adopt it as a legal currency, so I've heard.
405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: STOX has a surprise for us August 26 (hint: That's the big fight) on: August 25, 2017, 11:07:27 AM
Even though I can't stand Mayweather,  I think it is a great idea using him to help promote Stox. He can definitely help bring a lot of attention to the Crypto world, so many people especially here in the US still don't even know what bitcoin is.

I agree I think that Mayweather has helped bring attraction for STOX and now it has very good publicity. Not only that, I think Mayweather's promotion will bring more popularity towards cryptocurrency, not only for STOX but for the whole crypto community as well. It may make some people curious or interested to find out what is cryptocurrency because STOX is getting popular.
406  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think cryptocurrencies have the potential to overtake regular currencies? on: August 25, 2017, 11:02:52 AM
Exactly, many countries are still having difficulties on having a stable internet connection. the not everyone can afford an internet connection is already obvious but in some

countries like mine, we have a very slow but expensive internet so it is the first problem that needs to be solved first. second, countries who have issued a risk assessment or a

warning regarding cryptocurrencies often said that it is not backed by anyone which is true as no one can control it so that fact will certainly become a reason on why they won't.

third, i think most countries are satisfied with our current money system right now so unless something terrible happens they won't replace it

I agree, because the internet in my country is not that good so it would be hard for cryptocurrency to become the local currency since not everyone has access to internet. Unless there's a way or technological innovation for cryptocurrency to be better than fiat currency, then I don't think it may be replaced just yet. It may be possible in the future, with more adoptions under way for it.
407  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hoping for Bitcoin to drop on: August 25, 2017, 10:58:04 AM
The btc price now prevents people from buying it, and its increasing more and more each day. I heard that there will be a possible drop this upcoming November, possibly because of a hard fork. I'm not sure about this because its just rumors. Other than that and whales, I don't know what else could cause a drop in the BTC price. Bad publicity then some panic sellers? Something like that could trigger such an event.

I think that the price will just continue to increase, maybe there won't be a drop for some time now unless something bad happens.

409  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin among conglomerates on: August 25, 2017, 07:18:34 AM
I think a reason why rich people are rich is that they know where to invest, and with that yes I do believe they would buy and invest in bitcoin if they can see its potential. Just because they're already rich, it doesn't mean they would stop looking for ways to become even richer. Its because of that kind of that mentality precisely why they are rich as they are. They will continue to invest because that's how businessmen are, always on the look out for good investments.
410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: many ICO altcoin , What can be trusted? on: August 25, 2017, 06:58:51 AM
It is really hard nowadays to distinguish whether an ICO is a scam or not. Yes, you can do your own research, check the dev team who's creating it and check their white paper but all of those can be faked especially now that we have the technology to do it. Investing in an ICO puts you in a huge risk and the thing that you can only do is just put your money that you are willing to lose. You can pray that the ICO that you will choose will not with your money but it is still 50/50. That's the nature of cryptocurrency. You just have to deal with it and be prepared for the worst.

Yes, this is true. Some scam ICOs are really good, that it would actually look legit. Not to discourage you, but I'm just saying so for everyone to become cautious. There are still a lot of good ICOs out there that are legit, and have some potential for investment. We just have to always keep an open eye, watch out for red flags and to never invest money which you can't afford to lose.
411  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for Taxi on: August 25, 2017, 05:20:33 AM
I hardly use taxis anymore, but yes I think it would be convenient for the riders. Uber allows its customers to have the fare paid using credit/debit cards and I think its very convenient shen you don't have any cash on hand. It would be better if they included bitcoin as a payment system, and if there was a way for you to connect your wallet to their system. This will add more options for their consumers, also if this was implemented by taxi drivers.
412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie to Altcoins on: August 25, 2017, 05:12:46 AM
For beginners like you do not need to invest in altcoin first, if you do not know the basics of trading play in altcoin. I'm sure you'll regret the risk you get, because I'm thinking of investing in altcoin and starting trading on the market, it takes someone to tell you how to start a good trading, so you do not get caught up in the altcoin that Makes you lose Because of your own carelessness.

I agree, you shouldn't invest or start with trading if you're not sure or don't know what to do yet. There are risks in investing and/or trading, and there will always be a chance for you to lose some money. So unless you really know the coin that you will buy or invest in, I suggest not to do so yet since you're just a newbie. Also, never invest an amount of money which you can't afford to lose. There will always be a risk.

I guess the best advice that I can give for you is to research a lot first before deciding what to do, because there's a lot of things that you can do with altcoins. Invest, trade or earn it from a signature campaign, research on those things first.

414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What opinion from people out there or people in your city about bitcoin? on: August 22, 2017, 12:39:56 AM
Not many people know about bitcoin from where I'm from and just like your experience, they get skeptical at first when I tell them my experience with bitcoin. I would have to show them actual proof of my earning to convince them that bitcoin is real and that it truly exists. Bitcoin is not popular in my city and some are doubtful about it.

416  Economy / Economics / Re: What would happen if Bitcoin became a legal currency? on: August 20, 2017, 03:28:22 PM
If the bitcoin became a legal currency, I think 1/4 of users income were get by the government due to the tax given. Also most of the gambling site were been closed because of legality. That's why it was hard to us if the owner decided to become legalize the bitcoin.
The percent of taxes is different in different countries, for example, in Serbia where I live it's 42% and in Russia where I lived before it was only 13%. So the value of taxes is going to be depended from the current government and law situation. I am sure we will not be able to skip this part of bitcoin adoption.

Once mass adoption completely happen, government might make it a way to put taxes on it and to get money from it. Though it will have a long run of study to make it happen.

Yes I think that it is very likely for the government to impose taxes on bitcoin transactions and may even make some restrictions. They may make some regulations so that bitcoin transactions may be tracked, and may even limit its use and storage. Hopefully, the government regulations won't hinder or deprive the bitcoin owners and users.
417  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How do you sign up for a Signature Campaign and what i need? on: August 20, 2017, 03:12:01 PM
I suggest that you check out the marketplace > services section of this forum first, then look at the available signature campaigns there. There's a lot with different rules, then try applying in one. Signature campaigns require you to post daily/weekly. Just simply follow their instructions and requirements, update your signature then you're good to go. Most signature campaigns only allow jr. members and up. Then continue to make constructive posts. Good luck!

419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever regretted not gambling? on: August 19, 2017, 12:12:26 AM
The question is quite simple one, have you ever regretted not gambling on an occasion? Like football matches etc, where you had a gut feeling of a team wining but you didn't bet? This happened with me in the recent el classico, i had a gut feeling of Real Madrid winning 3-1 but i just didn't bet. Smdh
Sometimes, I regret I was not able to bet because I would have won if I do so.
But I just forget about it because I am also thankful sometimes that I did not bet when the result is not in my favor, gambling is like that we have our ups and downs but in the end it's the gambling sites who will always be up in terms of profit.

I sometimes do as well when I mentally come up with the winning bet, and would have won had I placed a bet but it is only momentarily. I would eventually get over it and remember that I could have lost a considerable amount as well had I placed a bet and the odds were not in my favor. That's the reality in gambling, you just have to cling on your luck because there's no way for you to anticipate the results, but just calculate the risks involved.
420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we still gambling while we always lose? on: August 19, 2017, 12:06:54 AM
i think we still gamble is because we still have a hope that we can win in the games although we still getting loss. beside that, maybe we are an addicting person in gambling so we still come back on the gambling places. the other reason is we are attracted with the prizes that gambling sites offering for their members. but for me, i think i still playing gambling is because in gambling games, i can enjoy the games no matter my conditions, win or loss, i only want to enjoy playing games.

Yes, gambling is just a game for others regardless of the money. Its a sort of entertainment and pass time for them.

I think that if you continue to play despite continually losing, its possible that you are addicted to gambling without even knowing it. The chances of winning are equal to your chances of losing, so its inevitable for you to lose sometimes. Some people who lose are so frustrated of their loss, that they continue to gamble just so that they may regain that loss and I think that is the reason why some people continue to do it despite losing.
