401  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How many mines with USB miners? on: May 18, 2015, 06:30:32 PM
If you plan on making the money you spent, it'll never happen. If you plan on just doing it for fun, I also wouldn't recommend it as it'll cost you in the electricity aspect, not to mention the absurd price on these USB miners. The chances of finding a block, is VERY, VERY, VERY low. If I were you, get a RockMiner R-Box (the older version) it does 32-38Gh/s I believe, and it'll cost you the same price as if you were to buy two USB miners. If I were you, stick to Scrypt algorithm if you really want to mine using USB sticks.

Well, this is just for fun.. And using these with a rasp pi does not take a lot in electricity costs.

I would love to get some small scrypt miners, but they are just too expensive..

10MH/s for over 50$ and they use like 360W is just a no go.

In order to be a successful miner, one must have cheap electric. I have free electric, so I run a Zeus Thunder X3 @ 1050W. But the best option for you would to invest into PoS coins, that are decent and sell them one you stake them for awhile.

I am staking Litedoge atm which is pretty good.
Will be setting up my Raspberry Pi tomorrow for my staking machine and hopefully make some money with it Tongue

They did have connections to ISIS and even one of them tried to flee back to syria.
Dont remember if he/she made it or not.

The Charlie Hebdo perpetrators were radicalized when they were living in Paris. So who is to blame here? And regarding the individual who fled back to Syria, you must be referring to Hayat Boumeddiene. She was the wife of Amedy Coulibaly, the guy who lead the Montrouge shooting. And once again, both Amedy Coulibaly and his wife were born and raised in France.

Okay.

Hmm.. I thought one of them were from syria..

Ohh well.
Thanks for correcting me.

But still.. Psychos that should be executed.
404  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Green Energy. DIY and other stuff. on: May 18, 2015, 04:58:49 PM
In my opinion, the real green energy is the nuclear energy. It involves no deforestation (unlike hydro-power), no CO2 emissions (unlike thermal energy) and it is extremely cheap compared to solar, tidal, geothermal, and wind energy. Still it is ironic that the people who oppose nuclear energy the most are the self-declared "Greens".

Well, the only problem is the waste..

The best thing would be throw it onto a rocket and fly it into the sun.

It is not economical to transport all the nuclear waste to outer space. IMO, the best idea would be to contain all the waste in giant lead containers, and then dump them to some uninhabited and remote region. They can be dumped in the uninhabited regions of the Sahara, can be dumped in the Mariana Trench, or they can be even dumped in underground mines, which are more than 10,000 m deep.

Never in the ocean if a leak should happen..

But yes.. Abandoned mines could be good.
But still its not a solution that can last that  long again :/
405  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ISIS leader, Baghdadi, says "Islam was never a religion of peace. on: May 18, 2015, 04:30:17 PM
So what about France?
Charlie Hebdo.

The Charlie Hebdo attacks were perpetrated by criminals who were born and raised in France. So it has nothing to do with radical ISIS terrorists migrating from the Middle East to carry out attacks against European targets. The recent migrants to Europe will be under continuous observation from various security agencies, and they will have less breathing space compared to the second and third generation immigrants.

They did have connections to ISIS and even one of them tried to flee back to syria.
Dont remember if he/she made it or not.

407  Economy / Services / Re: Need money, looking for work. on: May 18, 2015, 04:27:43 PM
I would be interested in hiring you for writing crypto currency related stuff in my upcoming project. Skype:Aristo.studio
lets talk

It depends on the pay that I get from it.
I dont think I know enough in from the crypto world to write about it.

I am good to explain what Crypto is to new people but not much more then that..
And then I follow the altcoin market a little bit.
408  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How many mines with USB miners? on: May 18, 2015, 04:26:01 PM
0.016 to 0.02 sounds like a lot for around 10GHs for a month.
I just calculated it to 0.003 a month with the same amount.
But it might be the calculator that I am using which isnt good enough.

antminer u1 gets ~1.8-2.0 GH/s..... so 29 of them should get you 50-58 GH/s

Wait.. Then I gave the wrong name.. Sorry!

Its the classic 336 MH/s miners.
409  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Build My Own Kingdom Country on: May 18, 2015, 04:25:22 PM
My advice is to place your kingdom deep inside a continent, else, with the sea level rising, you may lose it.
Now let's find a country that would sell you land for this project....

In a properly corrupt African banana republic, he can buy land and could even buy people for his new country... so he should go to Ukraine Cheesy.

LOL.

If he did it in Africa then he would have another war with just about any tribe or religious groups there.
Its like monkeys some of them.

"New people?? O_O"

"WE MUST SLAUGHTER THEM"

I can agree that praying will make YOU feel better but it will not help anyone.
As said above, meditation should be the best way Smiley

Yes, meditation is the best way. I think everything that could make your mind be refresh is meditation. But, my meditation is praying. Everyone can take anything that he like to calm and strengthen himself, just choose the best.  Smiley
Here we go again. Please stop posting because you aren't making any sense and are very much deluded.
Mediation =/= praying.
Code:
Meditation is a practice in which an individual trains the mind or induces a mode of consciousness,
either to realize some benefit or for the mind to simply acknowledge its content without becoming identified with that content, or as an end in itself.
Praying isn't that similar to meditation. It's up to the individual to choose, however he or she doesn't decide which one is the best. Stop living a subjective life. Although you see people quite often choosing the irrational path.

That's only what they want you to believe. It is quite hard to interpret ancient writings the way that suits the people. Belief in nature and the supernatural probably did; religions like Christianity did not.

The best thing in ancient writings is that you can interpret and explain it as you want.
Exactly. The interpretation could be completely wrong.

Praying.. In hope to gain something from something that does not exist.

Meditation.. Getting something from nothing.

You will need to be able to trade with other countries to be able to survive since you will have a hard time getting people to live there..

I think it's likely that you have to trade with other countries, yes, especially in the early stage of your Island (in which you have to invest a lot of money for the Island itself, but also the infrastructure and other facilities; like a way to get fresh water).  If you have a solid base, I actually think that are some people willing to live their whole self-sufficient. I think everywhere in the world you can find those people, you just need to attract them to your Island.

- -

I don't think I would use BTC as the currency over there. If you would really need a currency in such place, you should create a currency that you can fully control on your own. However, in such "Utopia Island", i'm not sure whether you need a currency.

No, you would depend on eachother to survive.
So digital currency would not be te best idea for this.

Unless its called Coconuts..

"Ill pay you 2 coconuts for that goat"
And then you go get 2 coconuts from a supply shop that accepts the currency and gives coconuts for it...

LOL

I think it's likely that you have to depend on eachother to survive indeed, especially on such "isolated" islands. But, even then, I don't think there is a need for currency over there. Indeed, you can trade your goat for Coconuts (if that is what you want), but I don't think that is neccesary in the case that I expect people on such Utopian islands working together to survive. I expect them to have a mentality of "all for all"; work together to survive; and egoism is not appreciated.

It should be like that ofc.
But I think that there will always be that one capitalist that wants more than everyone else.
And that is the kind of behavior that can ruin such a perfect place.

I'm running an Avalon nano.  Runs ~ 4 GH with a 120mm fan.  Technically it is not very efficient as it uses 9.6 watts all together with the pi, usb hub, nano, and fan.  If I add a few more it should go under 1 watt a GH.

Isnt a 120mm fan a little overkill for a USB miner?
I have 4 USB fans for my rig that I will setup very soon.
416  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How many mines with USB miners? on: May 18, 2015, 02:09:08 PM
I have a few Antminer U1's when I first got into the game. They were fun to setup and monkey around with and learn the whole BTC thing. I would say don't spend alot on them or ask to get them as gifts for occasions. Get a few decent powered hubs or just one big 49 port hub that can be bought here and the over priced ebay. I ran mine off a raspberry piIf i were you I'd pool mine with the most so you can see how it works and put a few in a hub to solo mine with (you never know you may wake up to 25 BTC).

If you pool mine with them all you will bring in 0.016-0.02 BTC/Month at the current difficulty. Its not alot but it gives you something to play around with, maybe invest into an alt coin try to turn it into more.

My U1's have paid for themselves plus some and helped me invest into an ant S1 back then. I still turn them on from time to time to solo mine with. My modded U1 gets 3-4.5 GHs

0.016 to 0.02 sounds like a lot for around 10GHs for a month.

I think I saw some other guy that accually got an island but I think it died down and he just dropped it.
The idea of this would not work.. Since you ill be making a new nation then you would need land to make money off or somekind of income so you can get infrastructure.

You will need to be able to trade with other countries to be able to survive since you will have a hard time getting people to live there..

Sorry misread you Smiley

Well..

Lets just say that 1000 go from the middle east to EU as refuges but are there to do terrorism.
Lets say that 300 of them gets caught by police..

Now.. The 700 people have weapons and are ready to kill civilians.
And lets say they manage to kill 2 people each.

Its still 1400 civilians that are killed for no reason other than they want to be able to stone women to death and fuck goats in peace.

This is what going to happen:

1,000 ISIS idiots start their journey from the Middle East to Europe.
950 of them will get caught, and will be deported back.
Of the remaining 50, 45 will get arrested before they can get hold of weapons.
Out of the remaining 5, 4 will get arrested before they could attack any target.
Most probably, the sole remaining terrorist will be shot dead by the cops, before he is able to kill anyone.

So what about France?
Charlie Hebdo.

Copenhagen Denmark does not really count on that one since he never left Denmark.
