Enjoying life while young kahit enough lang ang ipin or ipon hard now then enjoy later once matanda na basta ensured na financially?

402  Other / Off-topic / Re: Having a regular/steady income is important as a gambler. on: February 03, 2024, 01:20:33 PM
Gambling though is a risky game that the chances of winning and losing is in equilibrium but in other for one to have a possibility of winning, it requires a steady income.

Having a steady and regular income is very important as a gambler because it would enable you to scrap out money you should use for gambling, feeding, taking care of yourself and family and other miscellaneous.

I agree it's very important it's not to support your gambling activity but so you will not use money that is allocated for your family and you will not take a loan when there's a strong urge to gamble.

The worst thing that a gambler can do is to take a loan to gamble or use his savings to gamble if you have a regular and steady income it will be avoided and when we have a job, or a business our time on casinos is limited, its when we don't have a job or a business that we indulge ourselves to gambling because inactivity makes us do things we enjoy doing and if you're a gambler you will likely indulge yourselves to gambling when you have a lot of time to do so.
403  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a generous gamblers on: February 03, 2024, 12:22:16 PM
My friends and family know that I won when I invite them for a treat, It is ok to be generous in gifts or cash, every winning is a blessing, and you should at least share a portion of your win even if it's a small portion but I make sure that I am not the kind of person OP described in his post.

When I treat my friends I do it expecting nothing in return, it's my own free will and they can ask me or warn me about the risk of gambling and I will not take it personally against them, we should be generous not because of gambling but because being generous is part of our nature and character.
404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investment in gambling on: February 03, 2024, 08:15:29 AM
I struggled to understand your post. It looks to me like you are comparing ponzi schemes to gambling, or likening it to be a form or gamble or risk.

If you choose to walk into a scam cause you believe you would be able to profit from it before it goes bust, that is your decision to make. But it is still a scam and should not be encouraged cause you are actively promoting something you know to be a scam.

This in my opinion is also not a topic for this board.

- Jay -

I thought I was the only one who had to take time to fully understand what OP was trying to discuss with us, I think he meant that investing in a Ponzi scheme and the risk associated with it can be considered close to gambling.
I have a lot of experience investing in a Ponzi scheme but when investing in this kind of platform you need to be at the right time if you're an early bird and you're good at referring people they will let you cash out, but once they hit profits and there are few or no money coming in, that's the time they will hit off the withdrawal button, then they will take down the site and will try to erase all their tracks, after a few weeks or months they have a new Ponzi scheme.
Investing in a Ponzi scheme is high risk because these kinds of platforms are not meant to stay long, compared to a casino's operation that lasts for years.
405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What remarkable thing have you achieved with the money you won from gambling? on: February 03, 2024, 06:16:42 AM
I already have three and these are buying a new motor to get into work, investing in Bitcoin which has tripled its value, and buying a new laptop to help me in my online work, I consider all these things remarkable because all these have helped me move forward to a better life I still have a lot on my list but hope the oen thing I am dreaming for is to hit a jackpot in a lottery even just once so I can retire go to the farm and just live a more peaceful life while continually doing online works, there's a lot of stress working offline and online I would like one day to settle for one job and that's working online, where I have full control of my time.
406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Responsible Gambling Practices Most People Ignore and Sleep on on: February 02, 2024, 11:53:08 PM
I prefer the word forgot to ignore, gamblers will listen and read the best advice on how to become a responsible gambler, but everything they learned about being a responsible gambler goes out the window when they are playing they just forget everything because they are so concentrated on playing and winning, like bankroll management and playing that they can afford to lose, its basic but when you asked them after they lose their bankroll, they will just say that they forgot all of this.

Experience is the best teacher in gambling, many times when the gambler says that he should have done this to avoid losing that's the time that he understands and gets that advice into his head and implements it, but until he is not in a dire situation where the advice he once read and hears is needed he'll just say he forgot it.
407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another health benefit of online gambling on: February 02, 2024, 11:24:34 PM

Betting with online gambling firms will shield you from contracting communicable diseases because you are all alone in a comfortable atmosphere. My neighbor's behavior has made me focus only on crypto casinos because I am scared of my health. Don't get me wrong there are many well-built and very comfortable physical casinos that offer quality services, but when you are an online gambler you will not need to worry about the health concerns of fellow gamblers.

This is exactly what happened during the pandemic where gamblers who frequent the physical casinos cannot play because of the restriction imposed by the government that all citizens should be at home to avoid getting infected with COVID-19 it also benefited the online casinos because we have seen a huge shift of payers from traditional casinos to online casinos.
So if you're a long-time player of traditional casinos you can still gamble online for whatever reason you cannot go to a physical casino and its more convenient you just have to get used to it because the ambiance is very different online.
408  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are people still interested in bankroll investment ? on: February 02, 2024, 04:14:31 PM
The question is in the subject  Kiss I’m genuinely just curious if people are still interested in this because I believe it’s a good way to “HODL” your bitcoin.

Bitcoin bankrolls are still popular. Any secure investment that gives a good interest on coin of choice are always being looked for by investors. There's no investment safe enough that gives more than 5% for bitcoin and if any reputable casino does provide a stable 10%+ profit on bitcoin, people would be interested.
That can't be said true for some other altcoins as there are different rates different exchange and defi are providing for staking.
Among good bankroll site's I knew and used bustabit and bustadice but the owner had further increased the commission on bankroll profit which might have put the effective yearly earning below 10% according to some bankroll investors.

I'm waiting for you to drop a post here and post this, or lead us to the thread you created three years ago, so since you posted on what you think on the subject I prefer to drop your thread here that you created three years ago I think the list is not updated but yes some casinos offer bankroll investment and these are some of the casinos that offer this, some are out of business some are still there but you will have an idea from now on how they perform in the industry, based on their reputation.

This is an up-to-date list of Gambling sites that accepts (direct) bankroll investment from any users in cryptocurrency. This includes users deposit getting a part of house edge profit. This does not include rakeback or mine while you gamble schemes. .

410  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are people still interested in bankroll investment ? on: February 02, 2024, 01:12:43 PM

To understand why some users are comparing staking to bankroll investment on online gambling casinos, you have to first understand what bankroll investment is, and to try to explain it here, it simply means the ability for a player to invest some money into the casinos funds with which they settle players who won in their platform.
Gambling can be considered a game between the casino and the player, when the player wins, the casino loses, and when the player loses, the casino wins, so you as a bankroll investor, if you invested in the casinos bankroll, you kind lose money in your investment anytime the casinos loses, and you also make profit in your investment any time the casinos make profit.

This is the simplest way I can explain it so that it's clear enough for you to understand it, and I hope you do understand now.

Quote
A simple example: The site's bankroll is 90 BTC. You invest 10 BTC, bringing the total bankroll up to 100 BTC. A player bets 1 BTC and loses. The total bankroll is now 101 BTC. You withdraw your Bitcoin investment, and get 10.1 BTC. The site's bankroll is now 90.9 BTC.

Investing in online casinos is inherently risky and subject to loss even for extended periods of time.

https://www.mintdice.com/faq/investing#how-does-casino-investing-work

I've got to check online for us to understand this casino bankroll investment and above quote is the explanation, it looks profitable but there's also risk involved since the casino has a house edge over all their players you have a chance to profit, and we have to understand it's still gambling you could win and you could lose, be sure to fully understand how it works and be sure that if you're going to invest in a casino bankroll, invest in a casino that is transparent with a good reputation, it involves trust between you and the casino you're investing with.
411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tim Tszyu vs Keith Thurman WBO super welterweight Title March 31 on: February 01, 2024, 11:43:26 PM

For me it's obvious that he no longer interested on boxing, and that's why he was been out for 2 years. His injury really did it for him because when he come back, it was a different Thurman, his power is no longer there and maybe just boxing around for the money. His lost to Manny already proved that his motivate and fire might be really gone and after that he was on/off in boxing. Obviously he can still run his mouth in this fight, but as far as performance, Tszyu being the younger and the champion might have the advantage here. Let's watch here the kick-off press conference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTOgKPSpch4

Every Thurman fight is very entertaining in the press conference, he was so amusing in his match against Pacquiao and he's at it again, obviously, Tszyu is very annoyed he has been against trash talkers but it's hard to deal with a trash talker like Thurman he always beat you.

I guess Thurman has mastered the art of thrash talking, It is good for the fight, boxing fans want to see action and a lot of talks in the press release and Thurman can provide that and this will sell the fight.
But of course, fight fans want to see action so it is very interesting to see how both fighters will react to the earlier thrash talk can Thurman that Tszyu is slow and flatfooted, and can Tszyu chase and eventually knock Thurman out?
It's still a month away but we'll see more thrash talks coming from both parties.
412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Proverbs and Sayings that Act as Triggers to Gambling on: February 01, 2024, 10:46:30 PM

What other proverbs or sayings could potentially act as triggers, enticing individuals to initiate or perpetuate their gambling activities?

There is no wisdom in these gambling sayings, and these sayings were created, to propagate, encourage, and promote gambling by the gambling platforms and gamblers to encourage themselves and people to continue gambling.

I don't encourage myself and my friends to take these sayings as encouraging yourself to gamble will harm your reputation, your mind, and your finances, and the popular saying that I stumble that is very popular among gamblers is
Quote
Quitters don't win in gambling
so we always see gamblers keep on pushing their luck because if they quit you're not going to win.
413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction does more harm than mere financial loss on: February 01, 2024, 09:20:48 PM
In summary, it harms everything you are associated with and all areas of your life and interests, the mind is everything that the mind thinks of it become, so if you are preoccupied with gambling you neglect other areas of your life and interest.

And since gambling is a harmful interest it will have a bad effect on your behavior and the way you look at things around you, we've seen gamblers living miserable lives that's because these gamblers only find happiness in gamble and they have to sustain and it's very expensive to sustain gambling so you will become financially incapacitated if you are hooked in gambling
414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To what extent have you hated yourself due to your gambling losses? on: February 01, 2024, 08:55:29 PM
Let me start by asking a question that is not very much different from the topic..

In your entire gambling journey, have you ever had a series of losses to the extent you hated yourself so much for being so unlucky?

Yes, I have a series of losses that I forgot when was the last time I won, I'm just so lucky that I'm not losing a fortune during the time that I experienced a lot of losses, but it also made me realize that there's such a thing as longest losing streak in gambling so I always in check not to allocate a huge portion of my money to gamble or even take a loan.

It was a blessing in disguise because it gave me a true picture of what gambling is that losing is inevitable and that there's such a thing as a long losing streak something that will remind you to bet what you can afford to lose.
415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Viewpoint of a fan gambling on: February 01, 2024, 12:06:18 PM

I want to find out if there are individuals like me. What percentage of the gamblers in Bitcointalk are wagering and not wagering to their dearest star player, club and team?
I am one of those who voted I can and I don't have a problem doing that, you can still be loyal without compromising your chances to make a profit if you're a gambler and if there's a possibility to make a profit you'll go for it because its not every day that you can have a chance to make money and if your favorite team happens to be an underdog then so be it, in gambling you should not practice blind loyalty, you can cheer on your team when you're not betting but when you bet and your team happens to be an underdog its nothing personal, you deserve to make a profit when there's an opportunity presented to you.
I think I bet over 20 times already against my favorite team or player, my heart goes to my favorite but my pocket goes to the one who is likely to win.

416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe visiting a seer or spiritual house could make you win a game? on: February 01, 2024, 10:41:38 AM
So I was wondering if there is any connectivity here, or do you believe such could happen in your own situation? Can you do such a thing to win? Have you had the experience of going to such places to seek predictions on how the outcome or results of games could be if they worked in your favor or not? Have you had anyone say or tell you such before and how their experience was?
Even if I'm desperate to win I would not do such a thing, I don't want to invite spirits good or bad into my life I don't want to bother these spirits in my struggle to win in gambling, those who do these things, are putting themselves to harm by a bad spirit, you just have to pray and hope its a game of luck, the spirits should not be summoned let them rest and keep themselves out of our lives.

Quote
Let us discuss and share your experience so that people could hear and learn from your  story in the quest for you to win a game that led you to doing or going that extra miles in such engagement.
I have no experience of that sort, and I don't think I can do such a thing I respect the dead and those who passed away and they should not be dragged into gambling this is abominable and may harm you and your family because the spirit, you may use lucky charms or prayers but never invoking spirits.
417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: stop the unnecessary blame on gambling whenever you get unlucky on: January 31, 2024, 11:30:51 PM

Gambling has been seen as a very dangerous thing base on some people's point of view here in the forum whereas in reality it has given some people the capital to start what ever business they want to do. My point in this post is that we shouldn’t just paint gambling all black because some people have fail to stick to the discipline of gambling.

How I wish you were correct but the fact is there are many losers and few winners, you're using the word some on your post as if there's an equal number of winners and losers when it's not, gambling is black or bad for people who made the wrong intention on the platform like trying to make money out of it and blame people and the platform on the platform

Quote
I believe that before one decide life, they should've already weighed the consequences of making the right or wrong choice, then put their fate on luck coupled with their little knowledge concerning what they're about to decide on, so why complain and play the blame game when things go wrong? "Share your thought on how gambling has come through for you if you got any".
You could do that but when you're in front of the gaming table or gambling interface it's different all your ideas and choices go out of the window all you can think of are the games and potential profit that you're going to make, in gambling experience is the best experience until you experienced the bad things about gambling or you've seen an example coming from persons who are dear to you, that's when realization come.
418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there Casinos that offer Birthday Bonuses to their users? on: January 31, 2024, 10:47:48 PM
Your neighbor's wife is not a gambling site or a local casinos user or customer, she is a worker there.

The local casino gave her gift card that is worth $150. This is common in organizations people are working. Companies can give their workers gift card during birthday or during Christmas and other celebrations.

Good checking on details it's a worker bonus, not a user bonus our brother @Fivestar4everMVP could have used a different title for his discussion, I have not received a birthday on all the sites I'm playing with maybe because I'm not a VIP or a high roller to deserve one, but on offline casinos, I know that the platform is very generous to their patron.
But if ever they gave you a birthday bonus it is not a huge amount and it is for them to remind you to play in their casino if you're not playing for a long time, there's no free lunch on gambling there's always an agenda.
You're lucky if you received one and you made good of it by winning a good amount of money with that birthday bonus.
419  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Marvin Favis na scam? on: January 31, 2024, 03:42:55 PM

420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pay off DEBT by do Gambling? think again before you loss more on: January 31, 2024, 02:15:31 PM
I have a hanging out friend who is having trouble paying his house installments, he wanted to borrow money from me but I didn't give it to him because I didn't have the amount he was borrowing at that time, I advised him to borrow from another friend but their answer was still the same, finally, he was a little desperate and with the little money he had he put the money into the online slot application, unfortunately, instead of succeeding in doubling his money, he lost all his money because he lost in the online slot application
Your friend must have been desperate to try gambling so he could pay his house installment, that's the worst thing you can do, and it's depressing if you lose the money, he could have requested the landlady to give him time and their other ways but gambling is never a good way to try so you can pay your debt, your friend's case is not isolated there are people who out of desperation turn to gambling because they have prior experience that they won a lot of money and it saves them from their debts or monetary needs.

Quote
The valuable message that can be taken from my friend above is never take risks to gamble to pay off your debts, the pressure is very big, and the chance is very small that you can pay off your debts, often you end up losing even more and losing your money. Looking for loans, selling your valuables, or looking for part-time work to pay off your debts, is a good way rather than playing the small money you have in gambling
If you are gambling with a huge pressure to win on your shoulders, there's a possibility that you'll go nuts if you lose the amount and based on my experience and I guess the experience of the other players, you are likely to lose if there is a big pressure to win, which is why the term chasing your losses comes in, you cannot accept your losses, so you will try to chase your losses that will result to more losses.
I hope your friend is ok this is the kind of situation that every gambler should avoid at all costs.
