401  Other / Off-topic / Re: Let's aid the not so fluent in English on: November 18, 2018, 11:12:42 AM
Why don't you post it in Help and Beginners? It's nothing about the forum, therefore, it isn't fit to be in meta.
How to a move a thread-
Check the lower left of the thread and you can discover.
402  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: November 18, 2018, 11:08:12 AM
lots of merit to this post for announcement and users asking for one single merit quit unfair lol  Grin
That's none of your business, you are banned from the forum. Remeber, you as a person are banned from the forum.
403  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Trying to figure out this 3.5 ETH smart contract quiz on: November 17, 2018, 08:58:24 PM
Code:
Ethereum contracts are immutable — once deployed to the blockchain they cannot be updated, yet the need to change their logic with time is ultimately necessary.
To be honest, I don't have any idea about. Anyway, this link might help you if you are looking for what I have meant from your query.

404  Other / Meta / Re: Unknown reason autoban on: November 17, 2018, 08:42:41 PM
Here's another one. Can't reach bpip project for now. Can someone confirm is this user banned too?
Our segment is Influencer Marketing. Considering the advertising market as a whole, this is the fastest growing segment (as part of the segment of native advertising) - check out the 'market' section on our website, Adhive.tv. Influencer marketing already has platforms that integrate brands and advertisers. But there are no platforms that are fully automated, as AdHive.

The main advantage of AdHive is that the advertiser will be able to launch mass campaigns without extra operating load - launching a campaign in 200 bloggers will take as much time as you start at one, that's our unique core competence.

405  Other / Meta / Re: Beginners board on: November 17, 2018, 07:10:27 PM
Most of the high ranked users don't follow the board just because there are a lot of garbages, although, I personally don't prefer to ignore.
Another reason can be- people don't want to visit Help and Beginners because most of the question have been answered thousands of time and still newbies are making a thread instead of using the search option. You definitely get bored when you will answer a question couple of time for different users while those are available.

and the bounty hunters low value stuff.
Newbies asked various questions on bounties but we can't say exactly bounty hunters low-value stuff. Low-value stuff are mostly come from signature bounty participants and no campaign counts post in that section.
406  Economy / Services / Re: LIST YOUR PRODUCTS/GOODS/SERVICES ON OMNIBAZAAR AND GET FREE COINS on: November 17, 2018, 01:31:42 PM
Can't we surf/use omnibazaar without downloading it? If it requires downloading, I doubt you will get lots of user.
407  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: November 17, 2018, 12:13:10 PM
There are also merit sources receiving only 10 sMerits per month, which isn't exactly helping to solve the problem.
I don't know who are you talking about. I would appreciate you if there was a statement.
However, currently,
Quote
There are 119 merit sources with a total merit generation of up to 22045 sMerit per 30 days
The avg is- 185 although it depends on spending sMerits. I think most of the merit sources are active and they are spending their sMerits regularly. More sources are needed for only some specific local boards, otherwise, we do have sufficient sources, IMO.
Don't forget to calculate the amount in total-
22045+11022+............ for every 2 merits, we are getting 1 sMerits. Therefore, it's also our duty to spend sMerit regularly on good quality posts for ensuring a more stable situation so that newbies or other members can't complain.
408  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SYNERGY TOKEN - FAKE TEAM - SCAM on: November 17, 2018, 11:33:10 AM
we got the website with ready templates. We are updating the site piece by piece. images and names have not been changed yet. even introduction video Smiley We give priority to this after your writing. it will be updated in a few days.
Stop lying. You will come with a new fake team.

We do not want anyone to misinterpret and misunderstand us. If you see any other problems, please share with us.
Why don't you prepare everything before launching your website/ICO?
409  Other / Meta / Re: Are sMerits replentished periodically? on: November 17, 2018, 10:59:40 AM
Loyce once gave merits to everyone who commented before him on a topic for not quoting original post.
It's Jet Cash not LoyceV Loyce, by the way.

In my capacity as the wild cannon merit source. I've just awarded a single merit to every poster following my quoting comment, and who has not included a redundant quote ( in my opinion). This is the thread that I used for this experiment - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5040212.

I did this without considering the content of the post, but in future I will take that into account.

I'm reaally fed up with these stupid repeated quotes, and in some cases it is being dine by legendaries, who really ought to know better.
410  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't use bitcointalkapp!!! on: November 17, 2018, 09:08:09 AM
If anyone is interested in this app, it is best to register a new account to test it.
For testing the app, you don't have to use your log in credential since the app is "Read Only" but through this app, the app owner may steal your data. Be aware.
411  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [GUIDES] on Bitcointalk. Index thread (until there is a dedicated subforum?) on: November 17, 2018, 09:00:01 AM
A lot of users are confused on how the forum calculate "Trust Score".
I have explained [Explained] How Trust Score is calculated. You may add this here if necessary.
412  Other / Meta / Re: Are sMerits replentished periodically? on: November 17, 2018, 08:50:54 AM
I wish I was a part of this forum since 2010. That would have been life-changing.
Don't know why do you think like that. If you were a member of this forum since 2010, you would have gotten a lot of BTC but it still may not change one's life. Lots of people sold all of their BTC @$100 thinking that s/he was the luckier. Those who didn't sell @$100, most of them sold @$1000. Therefore, no can certainly say that.
By the way, you were luckier than millions of user because you are a member of bitcointalk since 2016 which was also a good moment for getting into BTC at a cheaper price.
My inspiration- BTC is cheaper till @$100k.
413  Other / Beginners & Help / Don't use bitcointalkapp!!! on: November 17, 2018, 06:17:49 AM
I just have read that someone has developed an app where you can read all the threads from bitcointalk. You don't have to enter the password though.
But it can steal your password by malicious code while you will enter password from other browser. Owner may have control over your phone. So, it's better not to use the app.

414  Other / Meta / Re: Feature to Filter out ICO from the Altcoin Announcements. on: November 17, 2018, 02:18:04 AM
Till now, I used to know, erc20 token's ANN are posted in Token (Altcoins). Don't know why people don't follow the rules.
There is no way to filtering such if those are not posted in specified boards.
415  Other / Meta / Re: Merit against spam: reward spam reporters & punish spammers on: November 16, 2018, 07:58:00 PM
This would only be a temporary phenomenon, until all spam and all spammers are out forever.
The more spamming is going in ANN threads. All the bounty hunters are not spammers but all the ANN threads bumpers are spammers. Therefore, you can't remove spammers at all, ever.
416  Other / Meta / Re: My account - Collider - HERO was blocked, why? on: November 16, 2018, 07:12:09 PM
Why don't they ban them too?
Both cases are different, in fact. Scammers will continue his/her scamming if s/he gets banned with creating a new account.
Now, imagine, you have made a Sr member account by plagiarism and you get caught and get banned. I don't think you will ever think of copy/pasting again. At present, it is a more scaring issue because merit is needed for rank up.
If a scammer gets a ban, s/he will create a new account, of course. So, this goes with the same rule of account buy/sell. There can be rules but no one can prevent account buy/sell. So, no rules there. The same is also applied in this case. There can be a rule of banning scammers but the scam will be continued.

It's worthy to have a look- Why aren't obvious scammers banned?
417  Other / Meta / Re: How do you unsubscribe from a topic? on: November 16, 2018, 07:03:15 PM
Well, at least it's comforting that it's a forum-wide issue and not just me. I changed the title so people understand the issue better, maybe mods can fix this issue or something.
It's the issue from SMF. There's no way of getting rid of it.
That's what I got from an older thread-
I think the "ignore thread" mod of smf can be used for roughly the same purpose, but Theymos isn't willing to do any modifications before changing the whole thing.

I would install an "ignore thread" mod if I could, but I investigated this before and the existing mods don't work or are unsuitable for some other reason.

Sorry, I misunderstood your thread.

Is this enough to prove that there's a problem with these threads?

https://puu.sh/C2Psn/68b85b97b7.webm
Yes, that's enough. I think you will not receive notification anymore. Please, confirm me if it works.
I just have checked some old posts regarding this query and got the same solution.
419  Other / Meta / Re: How do you unsubscribe from a topic? on: November 16, 2018, 06:19:05 PM
Nope!
Also, I already unnotified myself from the threads, you can see it on the screenshot.

Click on notify, not on watch/unwatch. It will show you a pop-up message same as attached below. Click OK then. It will work.

420  Other / Meta / Re: How do you unsubscribe from a topic? on: November 16, 2018, 06:08:03 PM
1st click to notify = Subscribe
2nd click to notify = Unsubscribe

You maybe also do it from watchlist (Not sure about this one though)- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=watchlist
