bitcoinwonders010, actually what I understand is the dev is at least partially at fault and it's not because of the mining, but because of a faulty design of the POS phase. It wasn't just a random, unfortunate occurrence.
The dev copied cloaks code. If dev had bothered to do his research he would have know 1/8hr coin age was going to fuck things up, just like it did with cloak when they released their POS wallet near the end of POW phase. So yes, it is the devs fault.

I think the idea of using this as an eSport currency is brilliant. Sure gambling isn't everybody's thing, but I think there's a lot of people who would even be interested in making small wagers. And you know how large the gaming community is. The more reasons that people have to want your currency the better, along with having different options for how to actually use the currency.
two ways of gambling : bet on esport matches; or bet on your own matches. I'm more concerned about the 2nd option. I'm currently betting in bitcoin for starcraft pro league matches; and i'm doing fine with btc. But i can't challenge someone for money. pro players have 3 ways of winning money -join a team -win a tourney -stream games With minerals they could add -bet on my matches. Pro players are starcraft core. Without them that game would be dead yet; they are bringing some new strategies; nice matches. I saw a lot of starcraft players switching to poker; because overall it's the same game; but they can earn a lot more in poker; because they can bet on their skills. cheers you could have an e-sport betting website where you register and post/add matches. Match data (players/map/player stat) then appear in wallet with odds based on win/losses/player levels. people can then bet on the match through the wallet. live data could be streamed from the game to the website or wallet.

+1, real time odds and betting in the wallet while watching you favorite e-sport. I'm not joking, this is a an amazing idea, and would see minerals become a ground breaking crypto. If this is possible we should jump on this before another coin move in this direction. Dev, would it be possible to organize a time in irc where the mineral coin community could discuss this idea further with you?

remember, staking is random, you may stake after 10 hours, you may stake after 1 week. All comes down to luck. The estimated time is just that, an estimate. Also check in coin control your transaction priority. Higher priority have a better chance of of staking sooner.
Any difference in the reward if you so happen to stake for 1 week rather than 1 hour or does it just even out at 5% over the year? Yes, the higher the stakeweight/coinage, the higher the reward or rate of reward depending on size of your coin transactions.

no betting , do some good thing for this coin. or will kill this coin
Betting won't help an already well distributed coin really, if the prizes are very high it will in fact do the opposite. Point taken here. Betting doesn't need to be ALL what this coins about. Although you cant spread too thinly its worth considering all the options. I still think some form of e-sports betting or prize fund needs to be a part of this coin. Come on guys lets rub some brain cells together, how do we even out the distribution? I'm all in for e-sport betting. We need to focus on something no other coin is doing. An e-sport betting portal through the wallet would be a major first!

May we see the premine address of KoreCoin, and to see if it really sends all the coins to compensate the miners?
Thanks ~
Dev said he would put up rich list and premine wallet 2 days ago... still nothing

This is very rough (done in ms paint at work ) but you should get the general idea good. My original thinking was to build banknotes for our coin, but it is still impossible for our world now. Because we cannot print private key on paper, anyone get the private key can get coins in it. then the note will be worth nothing. But if we don't print out the key, then it is just a common paper with coin address. and actually, even we got a note with private key on it, we will not know if there are coins in it. So, the banknote thing is still impossible till now. All we got till now by using this method is only for paper wallets. It is not so bad, at least we can keep a backup offline of our wallet. Good news is, I've got the method to build a paper wallet, it is still good. I found the key and build the demo, it will reduce the difficulty for us to build good looking wallet ourself. Bounty is still there, and demo site with script had already up. If you have a good design, you can modify the css and img. We can have 3-5 design version, each one will get 100k bounty. Paper wallet has fold lines, so when folded correctly the priv key is hidden and only wallet address is visible.

I will probably get the S1 upgrade kit instead Let's guess the HR of overclocked S3, 520GH/s for me My guess is 575GH/s ..."BM1382 has achieved 15.75 Gh/s in hash performance, consuming less than 9.33 W on chip level at 0.75V"... Let's do some math...: 9.33W / 0.75V = 12.44Amps ...per chip... 16 chips per blade * 12.5Amps = 200Amps per blade ... NEEDS hell-of -a-POWER Section on the blades... I do NOT expect that BitMain will design S3 Power section with a lot of reserves...if any... IMHO overclocking S3 will be a challenge...if possible at all...1-2-3% max... Not even taking PSU in consideration... ZiG 12.5 amps per chip isn't right. It's 9.33 watt for all 16 chips. Nope, ZiG is correct: BM1382 has achieved 15.75 Gh/s in hash performance, consuming less than 9.33 W on chip level at 0.75V. This means 0.59 J/GH on chip.

What i think we will see with the S3 is undervolting potential, and when the price falls we may see it comparable in $/GH and W/GH to the SP10 and SP30

I'm truly love watching how this coin being "developed" I cant wait to see rev 2 of whitepaper. I wont be surprised if they cut and paste Cloaks anon diagram, since that is what they did with the wallet code.

I'm a huge supporter of ZIM, but admittedly the multipool saga does concern me. It would be good to get a definitive answer regarding if and when a multipool for ZIM will be operational.
