401  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: July 01, 2014, 12:31:16 PM
and do you know parameters for overclocking S3 ?
and if you want to overclock, you need to connect 4 PCI-e connectors instead of 2?

Update S3 sales news  Smiley

The First Batch of AntMiner S3 runs out of stock. we are ready to start to sell the Second Batch of S3 at 22:00 pm on July 1st, and drop the sales price to 0.74 BTC each with international shipping. The Second Batch is estimated to be delivered about 2-4 days after shipping of the First Batch of S3 for 0.75 BTC each, but still no later than July 20th.

But I can still buy on your website for batch 1 so no longer possible and now second batch ?
404  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: July 01, 2014, 10:58:46 AM

Hope so... for new users like me, last week was great and now this.... its incredible are we going to find block at 99,99%?Huh omggggg Undecided
Since you are a new user, I want to make sure you are aware of how much capacity was added to the network in the last 11 days.   If you are not, you should research around a bit but adding over 20,000 TH/s in that time is really unbelievable.   Think of how many huge farms this must be.   All in 11 days (actually less).

over 20,000 TH/s ? omg... well lets hope we finally found the @#@#@#@ block and next ones dont take that long to find Wink

Oh we'll I'm sure it will balance out in a few days

we are going for 90% CDF  Huh Huh maybe its normal for you guys Tongue this is my first 90% CDF block Tongue

I have had more then 50 of them.

Pretty much by definition, 1 in every 10 blocks should be a 90% CDF block, so you just joined at a lucky time.

Yep, we had a great little run for a few days ... and then a long block. Doesn't matter how many times that pattern plays out ... it just seems to last forever ... << NOTE TO SELF >> ... be patient! Variance and luck will smooth the waters over the coming days.

Anyways, i pay 0.13 € / kwh so its not a bad price, less than 30 eur / month for 366 W then, and i already have 2 Corsair CX750M, so i hope the time i need to earn 0.19 more BTC, its enough for price to drop a little bit and if i can obtain a coupon better  Grin

Minimun order is 2 units for S3?Huh?? OMG i wont be able then. i just needed 0.19 more btc for 1 S3 but if minimun order its 2 S3........... Sad
417  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: June 30, 2014, 11:46:48 AM
Not a great price. Hope you guys checked the ROI after 15days.

for me its a great prize considering:

S1 --> 200 GH/s overclocked --> 420 W from the wall
S3 --> 478 GH/s --> 366 W from the wall

i have right now 2 S1 with power consume of 840 for 400 GH/s so its a great difference of power cost
418  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: June 30, 2014, 11:35:00 AM
and how many units do you think 1st batch will be? because i need 0.19 more BTC and maybe if i have a week... i can earn it, but if 1st batch orders end today in a few hours... i will have to wait till 2nd batch Undecided
419  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: June 30, 2014, 11:24:36 AM
Wow... great price point at 0.75BTC per unit.  The specs state you only need 2 of the 4 PCI-e connections if you want to run it non-overclocked - so it would appear I can replace my 2 S1s with these and use the same HX1050 to power them both.

and S3 overclocked how much GH/s would be? and power consume how much increase? (more less)
420  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: June 30, 2014, 11:17:55 AM
and what about upgrade-kit for S1 users?? any news?

S1 upgrade kit won't be available yet soon IMO, because bitmain needs to mass produce S3.

This is my personal opinion only

Arggg ok Sad but considering S3 price, S1 upgrade should be "cheap" i suppose...

I think 0.75 its a great price with delivery.

But i thought it was 504 GH/s and it says 478, so maybe 504 its overclocked? And will it have enough cooling as this S3 comes in a box and not "opened" as S1.

well i will save for S3 then, i just need 0.19 more BTC Grin
