Novak did some packet sniffing while I fetched a sammich, and it looks like it might be something like the server is requesting a 4-byte extranonce but the miner is returning an 8-byte every time.

sidehack, by chance did you try any on the slush pool itself? Just curious as that is where I mine. Really don't want to go to that other mentioned.

Thanks Canary, all 3 labels show acceptance at Post Office.
403  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMiner Tube Sales Information Thread [Round1 Ends, Round2 Starting Soon] on: August 26, 2014, 05:41:22 PM
Sorry if this has been answered already, I just did a quick search. What's the word on firmware updates for these things to fix pool compatibility? I know they work on ghash, but I'm pretty sure I'd rather the machine sit idle than mine there.

I'm running one through mining_proxy and seeing the errors come through. Looks like a case of noncompliant share format that some pools aren't tolerating.

us.ozco.in: REJECTED: (-2, u'Incorrect size of extranonce2. Expected 8 chars', None)
Eligius: REJECTED: (23, u'H-not-zero', None)
mmpool.org: actually accepting shares

Did you do below as described on page 1 of this thread? I think it is the latest but FC could verify.

After connecting the ethernet controller to hashing units, you can
type 192.168.0.254:8000/FlashMega on your web browser to update to the
newest firmware on each hashing unit (no internet connection is needed).

ThePhwner, kudos for your apology and explanation.

As a new pool especially one that has had the recent problems that kind of verbal abuse by support staff will do nothing but chase current and potential customers off as well as killing any referrals users were making. I have a hard time believing sobr with all the time and monies it appears he has put into this would condone it in the least little bit.

With that said as a previous user who pulled their hash I will continue to watch to see if the pool can get it's issues worked out as I do believe there is potential here for a successful pool.

After being away for several days I came back to check on the status of the pool. Looks as he made some improvements to the actual site as it is back up now. Are the payments flowing again, is the payout calculations the same or has he adjusted his formula? Thanks in advance as I still like the ideas of this pool I just need some more info before moving my hash back.

There can't be any usage of C.  it has a weight limit and will not work.

I know you are busy but I emailed you 3 USPS Flat Rate for large box labels, when you get a chance can you confirm? Thanks.
yes, when I get a chance I will confirm.
Thanks, I appreciate it, not trying to rush know you are busy sorting, unpacking, & etc.

Come on Slush Poolers we need to hit that 6.3 PH sweet spot that seemed to be so lucky.

I moved back to my original pool yesterday right before payments stopped and just in time for 10 of a 20 block run. Made a lot more than I would of made here with the bonus anyway. If he reappears and can get things stable I will look at coming back.

Website is down, he must be working on it again.

Is there any efficiency in terms of shipping to be had orders of w or more tubes? Or are we talking 4 boxes per 2 tubes?
yes, 2 Tubes can fit in 3 large boxes.  anything larger than 2 Tubes, I'd have to stage it first, and report.
most orders here are for 1 Tube.

btw, I still have more Tubes coming Monday than has been ordered on this group.

Just emailed you 3 labels, just confirm all looks good, thanks.
414  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: August 22, 2014, 03:49:19 PM
I bought S3 in B6.
0.66BTC =  $385.36
Cost shipment/Tax = $110... caused bitmain not pay cost for shipment, they are use COD.

after count using this calculator : bitcoinx.com/profit/

I'll not ROI..

Bitmaintech doesn't ship COD shipping is free, who did you buy from? Here is there official site: https://www.bitmaintech.com/product.htm

The way I see it there is only two reasons to start a pool:
1. You are a true believer in bitcoin and want to do what you can to help decentralize the hash rate.
2.You are business minded and want to make some money ( fees, etc.)
So I think time will tell as the pool takes a more defined direction, for now I will just sit back and enjoy the pool's generosity and maybe win a S3.
416  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] ASICMiner Tube Group Buy #1 on: August 21, 2014, 11:21:13 PM
Earlier is always better than later but I am still good with it. Thanks for the updates.
417  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mining.BitcoinAffiliatenetwork.com - we're giving away 1 Antminer S3 every day! on: August 21, 2014, 11:17:56 PM
So what is the ultimate goal of BitcoinAffiliateNetwork? Certainly this current business model is not sustainable, lol.

So why are they rewarding pool users with much more BTC than they've actually earned and giving away S3s on top of that? Eventually they'll have to make money the old fashioned way or they'll go bankrupt. What service will they actually be selling? Have they ever made any statements about that yet? If no, why not?

My apologies if this has already been answered. I've only been loosely following this thread because it seems to be too good to be true... and you know the saying behind that.  Wink

I don't think he has given a definitive answer but here is one of sobr's posts earlier in the thread.

418  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: August 21, 2014, 11:13:52 PM
I am not seeing shares increments but i see accepts on the miner.  could there be a problem with slush now ?
I noticed that to the workers stats seem to be frozen. The average hashrate hasn't moved at all even between blocks and neither has the shares.

I did a support ticket on it earlier today as I am sure some others did. I am sure they will fix it. Front end is just stats I am sure you are getting credit for your shares.
419  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: August 21, 2014, 09:40:55 PM
Seems like 6.3 PH is our magic number for now.
420  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: August 21, 2014, 09:37:43 PM
Can someone share what the reward per TH is averaging per block?

Average of several blocks 0.022194913 per 5.76 so 0.022194913 / 5.76 = .003853283 or there about.
Actual hash at pool probably a little less so actual reward might be just a little higher but close.
