401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Rigs often reboot on: June 14, 2018, 09:50:17 AM
One way to troubleshoot

Start the rig with single GPU without risers and a dedicated PSU

fiire up miner --> Result?

Still reboot?

If yes, problem is in your CPU system, exclude Perif like GPU's, Risers in your suspects list

you may try to check/replace, RAM, Processor,PSU or bloated cap from MB

If No, problem is with your Perif, exclude CPU system in your suspects list

you may try to check risers, PSU cables, and GPU's

They are programmers not business men from what I can read and tell. Just because you know how to fix a computer doesn’t mean you know how to sell one too. How many thought Halong was a scam too? Just sayin.

Im sorry but that logic is flawded, he said the whole batch was prepaid, that means they have access to several hundred thousands € (or whatever the cost price was).
Who is gonna invest that kind of money without a proper business plan and presentation? That also means this would have been a long development process.
And yet they rush the simple things, like review, proper videos, website, etc.

The amount of red flags is insane and the biggest one is they dont seem to care at all.

Of course they doesn't care, as it is a self proclaimed more than a 5000 orders sold

In reality, we sold even more than 5000.

404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Second psu shut's down after a day of running. on: June 11, 2018, 12:12:02 PM
Hi Guy's,
I have a problem. I'm running 13 gpus for the last 3 months or so. No problems but now I have the second power supply shutting down. It'll run for a day then stops. I hit the switch to turn the power supply off then turn back on. It comes on  for may 2 seconds then go's off. So I turn the switch back off and forget about for say 2 to 3 hours and turn it back on. It stays on until a day later. I have 10 cards on the main psu which is a Corsair AX 1200i. The other 3 cards are on the second psu that is a Corsair AX 860i. The cards are set to 70 watts.

Here's the specs

Intel  G4400
ASUS Z170 A
Corsair DDR4 2133 8 gb
13 ASUS DUAL series GTX 1060 3 gb cards
Corsair AX 1200i
Corsair AX 860i
SMOS

Has anyone ever come across anything like this?

Haven't experienced this yet, however in order to debunk the PSU issue and perif/GPU issue

you may interchanged the GPU's, get the 3 cards including risers from the connected AX1200i

and replaced it from other 3 GPU's from AX860i

if still the same, you might have a faulty PSU

best way to troubleshoot

You try it with 1 gpu and then add the next one and then next and so on.

you have 10GPUs installed, possibilities on mem shortage for 4GB RAM, by doing the suggested above, you can prove this
407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What's your Crytonight V7 hash rate? on: June 07, 2018, 12:36:31 PM

Nicehash is paying out huge right now!

I have a 280x in my Mac Pro, but mining/tuning software is  pretty limited on that platform, so it just sits idle.

not quiet sure about this, I tried mining with NH for a few hours and estimated earnings is too far from whattomine calculations with same hashrates

decided to pull  out back my rigs again from NH
408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: So, I have 7 Computers using an i5 ASIC Processor, what coins can I mine? on: June 06, 2018, 03:20:28 AM

I'm using CPU mining as well, as the onboard GPU is a bunch of malarchy garbage.

Any help would be appreciated. I would love to know how to upgrade my h/s on these machines, and/or increase value of the hash.

So you're already mining with it

what are you mining?

what miner are you using?

what's your settings?

this is to identify if there's a need to tweak your settings
409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Need help! Wanted to know what to mine with my current laptop specs.. on: June 04, 2018, 01:33:00 PM
~snip~

How do I get proof of stake coins? I am newbie- I dont know much about proof of stake sorry?

You could install the official wallet of the coins that you want to do Proof of Stake. Then buy some amount of coins as much as required for stacking. Stay turn on your wallet (don't let the wallet turning off  Grin).

Which is unlikely for laptops

imagine a portable PC running 24/7/365

goodluck on your laptop CPU fans

Using whattomine.com :

1 1080ti = $2.20/$1.74 (revenue/after electricity. The lowest price card on newegg is 750. Thats 431 days till it pays for itself @ current price (mining Nicehash-Lyra2REv2)
1 rx580 8 gig = $1.39/$1.07. The lowest price card on newegg is 320. Thats 299 days till its paid off mining EthereumClassic.
1 1070 = $1.38/$1.10. Cheapest card on newegg is 450. Thats 409 days till paid off.

I know which one I would choose. more $$ does not equal better card for mining.

This is a remider

Whattomine calculations are based at present/todays profitability

you can't actually use this as reference on the number of days on your rig to get paid off

current difficulty and price is not the same for tomorrow, the next days/months or year
411  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to start Mining for the Newbie on: June 01, 2018, 10:48:43 AM
New Follow up question.

Does anyone have experience that can explain Mining without a rig on Nice hash?   Called Purchasing Hashing power?

Do you just pay a BTC fee, and sort of hire direct miners with real rigs and split fees? How does that work? What are the risks -pros/cons?   Is there conditions or considerations relative to say purchasing hashing power for a new coin compared to that of a coin that has been mined for long time already?

This method I just heard of, but I have not previosly heard anyone mention this here in the forum when I initiated inquired.  I am totally lost???

This is in regards to Sha -256 coin

In addition, is one method more profitable then the other?    It seems if the former (purchasing hash power) would be ideal for a newbie with no experience (but boring).  I actually really would like to get in the trenches with a rig of my own. But want to learn all avenues. and risks to consider

Any information would be great.

Thank you

You will be called as a Buyer

Procedures are on their site page

https://www.nicehash.com/help/how-to-start-as-a-buyer

Risk? you're in a crypto world, you're already in a high Risk

you may not get what you expect, or may not get any profit from it, worst you won't get any out of it.

but might be profitable if you know what you're doing.

412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Problem with ASRock h81 Pro Btc 2.0 the HDMI burn? on: May 31, 2018, 01:40:21 AM
My rules for this.

when it got burnt.. replace it.

So tell me do i need to replace this part or i can use the motherboard without it and using the vga slots on graphic cards instead of the motherboard? If i need to replace it do you know how much it cost?

you can actually use those GPU cards instead of onboard VGA's, just don't use them for any activities other than mining.

motherboard price? see newegg.com

413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What kind of site is the best for open (permitted) running of mining script? on: May 29, 2018, 11:16:42 PM
things to consider is the site visitors interest

is it beneficial for them?

who will be your target audience?

You are openly letting them know that in a few minutes you will used up their cpu resources

a conservative user wont probably bite this

so your target visitor is already limited

Hey there, by any chance, are you dual mining?
BTW 3GB cards can't mine ETH any more, and probably, given time, 4GB will go the same way, but at least right now, 4GB cards are ok.
Things to check, Nvidia driver, (cuda) install ok, or DDU, and clean install Nvidia drivers.

Post your batchfile content, it's helpful to get a better understanding about your rig and expectations.
Also, how much VM are you running?

I am running 16000 MB VM, i am not dual mining, the cards are 4gb, i have another rig same exact configuration and it is working well. I did a clean installation on drivers and still no progress...
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal xxx.Mechanic -epsw x -esm 0 -mode 1 -wd 1 -r 1 -dbg 0 -ethi 16

try adding -eres 0 in your bat file config

I have a bad experience on that ribbon risers Grin

If I were you, go get that USB risers instead, same is true to your PSU go with the 80% rule its one of the most important part of the rig to invest with Wink

I need it working with suprnova pool.
What to modify, in which proxy version?

In which coin?

the instructions are easy to follow

sample on ZCL coin

probably Raven, rvn.suprnova.cc

but I need proxy, like this:

working with suprnova

its indeed in stratum, however, not sure on additional profit by using it

Code:
Configure your miner.

    Settings for Stratum (recommended):
    STRATUM: stratum+tcp://rvn.suprnova.cc

I'd been hashing away happily, mining Eth, with my 4x RX 580 rig. It shut off for some reason and now when I start it up it shows the Asus screens, but then Windows won't open, it just shows a black screen. Is there anything I can do in the UEFI or anything, instead of just trying to reinstall Windows from a usb stick?

Please state your complete setup

a lot of probable reasons

might be a riser on the GPU connected to your monitor etc.

420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore 11.7 miner starts then PAUSES...does not close ! on: May 24, 2018, 12:35:33 AM
Guys,

I have one miner that i cannot figure out. Mind you i have 30+ but yes i cannot figure this one out, and its driving me nuts.

The issue is that after the Windows 10 April update the miner will start but pauses....it does not close. I have tried everything i know and nothing. So i went ahead and installed a clean version of 1709 build with all of its updates.

I have reinstalled 11.7(which was working with no issues prior) and still nothing. I have tried adrenaline 18.2 and even downgraded to the blockchain drivers and still nothing. The motherboard is up to date, windows sees all the cards...no issues there. I have patched the drivers...etc...etc...

These are AMD RX560's that have been modded...and again these were working fine before the darn update got me.....I have also excluded the claymore folder in defender, set a pause for 30 seconds etc...

Im hoping someone out there has run into this prior....

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

have you tried running 1 GPU on PCIex16 slot? dont use riser

I have a feeling that one of your hardware might caused your issue
