401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 29, 2023, 09:14:45 PM
In the past 3 seasons in the premier league, there have been many schedule upsets, such as the world cup and the pandemic break. Many players were affected by this and the results at the end of the season were affected as well. Do you think the upset would result in reasonable decisions and a change in football and the performance of the players if it continues?
402  Economy / Economics / Re: I have resolved into buying more and caring less on: January 29, 2023, 04:36:23 PM
8 out of 10 times, I will choose to act against the trend in cryptocurrency. Trends always distract and mislead. Sometimes silence in the market space means much, but money flows into market hype, where I decide to invest 20%. Most people ignored meme hype and made money from most market hype, however, a 20% decision requires a managed risk decision. It may also depend on how people react when it becomes popular.
403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Doge can it go 1$ on: January 28, 2023, 09:53:19 PM
Doge can go 1$ many people waiting that.
In this market, meme coins need to be handled carefully. It is possible that they have worse cases. There is still no better way to manage market risk than to have a large number of bags with a small token proportion. As it works, there will always be a project that will cover losses caused by other tokens.
404  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: HitBTC ATTENTION on: January 28, 2023, 09:42:02 PM
The verification process is not meant to be automatic if the necessary documents aren't provided. The Hitbtc exchange, however, is a terrible exchange with shady practices, a high transaction fee, low liquidity, and regular practices that make it impossible for users to access their tokens/coins. Any other investment should be scrutinized for these red flags, not only Hitbtc
405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CEX deserves all criticism but not the hate on: January 27, 2023, 10:55:50 PM
For CEX to reduce the reoccurrence of scams and mismanagement of user funds, a lot of regulations and policing are needed. This will apply to all countries, including the United States. As a result of the bear market and CEX trend, the direction of the coming market is likely to take a different direction. Hence, startup/IEO might have had their day, manipulation in the market will be on the rise. It is essential that team and exchange stay away from active politicking and public relations with politicians
406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for new exchange token to add to my wallet on: January 26, 2023, 11:02:00 PM
I am still expecting the scare in investment exchange token after FTX scam but I think decentralised exchanges might need to do many exchange. BiB, osmosis exchange, raydium token, I expect massive influx Dex investoe
407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Main reason government won't fully accept bitcoin on: January 25, 2023, 10:16:28 PM
The Texas government endorses bitcoin adoption in an 84-page report. It recommends Texas buy bitcoin, pass self-custody protections, tax breaks for mining, and include bitcoin education in schools.

408  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: CBN: Banks to pay N1 million fine daily over failure to collect new naira notes on: January 25, 2023, 10:00:51 PM
CBN just dey try ensure the compulsory adoption of the use of the new notes. It is okay to fine the banks that default before the deadline, but why everything na just by force? The due date of deadline is just too short to accommodate massive adoption with this kind of rate. CBN might have to review the deadline date if this is expected to be effective well.
According to him, 90 days should be the usual duration, but was extended to 100 days by the bank, which is responsible for the delayed transition. After the announcement, they kept loading old notes into the ATM and even gave them off the counter while they sold all the money given to them on the black market. Despite there being too little awareness among the public, politicians continued to accuse the central bank governor of fraud and many other allegations. They even strongly criticized the new note.
409  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Scientists Warn That Civilization as We Know It Will End in "Next Few Decades" on: January 24, 2023, 10:13:19 PM
There is a question I have about projected future soil infertility. I think everyone knows there could be a deep connection between soil fertility and animal manure. As species across the world decline in population. There is a decreased volume of animal manure reaching soils. Which could cause soil to become infertile.

One example of this is the widespread devastation of bison herds in north america. Prior to european settlers decimating their populations, it was said that bison herds in north america flocked together like locusts in their annual migration across the continent. Reduced bison herds lead to reduced bison manure which contributes towards reduced soil fertility.

But even as far back as 100 years ago, it was still very common for many to reside in independent farming communities with many animals to maintain relative fertility of soil. More recently the social exodus from farms to cities and modern living may correlate with lower populations of animals per square acre (hectare). Which could correlate with reduced square footage of arable land across the globe.

But to be honest, I can't say I've looked very far into this topic.

It is known that independent farmers in remote desert locations have succeeded in growing many acres of forestland in areas where it was considered impossible to do so.
Different soil types exist around the world, and soil scientists and agronomists use different methods to restore them. In some cases, fertilizing the soil is used, and in others, fertilizing the crop, depending on the requirements of the particular crop. We can also use chemical fertilizer, mulch, mycohhriza, and many other methods besides animal manure. Moreover, they are effective in managing soils. In general, herbivorous animal dung is more beneficial for soil than other animal remains.
410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay away from crypto influencers on: January 23, 2023, 09:30:22 PM
Influencers who promise 50-100 X are part of a regular cycle. A group of influencers buy first, announce the coin, and make others their exit liquidity. Those who purchase their coin are then left frustrated when the price declines, and influencers blame such victims for not doing enough due diligence.
411  Economy / Economics / Re: Save your environmental economic cycle on: January 21, 2023, 05:21:08 PM
I see this from the point of view of a buyer who is actively shopping online, I definitely do it every week because I play a direct role as a buyer but I also play a role as a seller. In essence, everything is mutually beneficial if we know how to manage goods from store A and sell them in store B. However, if this is the moral support that must support offline stores, I think we are still among offline buyers. We do not always buy from online stores due to slow delivery, length of time for items to be packed etc. Of course we will choose offline stores to shop in person to meet urgent needs.
The pandemic accelerated the transition to online shopping by a few decades at least, and this is because people were very afraid of going out of their homes to make any purchase, while at the same time many small business were forced to close their doors, this benefited online giants like Amazon and once customers had a taste of ordering everything online and getting exactly what they wanted for a low price then it became impossible to stop this trend, and now brick and mortar stores are struggling to keep themselves in business.
It has been over two years since the pandemic began, and restrictions on movement and communication have been lifted for 1 year before the post, so I don't consider the pandemic responsible for the non-visit of nearby grocery stores. Shopping online has provided people with conveniences that accommodate their busy schedules. Despite being almost the same price, it reduces stress with proper time management; however, most of these societies have a large population and should not eliminate shopping at nearby malls.
412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto exchanges market affected by ICOs? on: January 20, 2023, 10:17:23 PM
As far as OP is concerned, I don't understand how ICO affects exchange, what does it have to do with it? I understand the relationship of IEO but not with ICO. I even thought IEO would be a better replacement for ICO with the impact of exchanges monitoring token sales, token supplies, team role maps, and trading. The IEO doesn't appear to exist again, new tokens are crowdfunded, pumped, and dumped by whales. I seriously dont know what the future will be for startups.
413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Fileers - FPFS Scaling Protocol | P2P Distributed File System | Pre-Sale on: January 20, 2023, 01:11:46 PM
I like to ask what are coingecko, coinmarketcap, pancakeswap's contributions to projects that present them as partners. The fact that a project is listed on those platforms does not make them partners in my opinion, and it does not attract traders or investors. As the new start-up season begins, new altcoins should avoid this pattern. The team twitter links do not lead to the member's profile
414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 🔵 MetaACO COIN (MACO) ✅ MASTERNODES ✅ POS on: January 19, 2023, 08:06:53 PM
Does the project have roadmap going into the year and next?

Where can I get information about the project team?
415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay away from crypto influencers on: January 18, 2023, 02:15:38 PM
Is anyone aware of what happened to Louis Thomas? Since the bear market began, I have noticed there have been no tweets. His YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@LouisTeeChannel/featured) and Twitter account (https://twitter.com/LouisThomasYT) are currently unavailable. While I understand the effect of a bear market on social media activities, I don't know if he is alive and if he has closed his account yet.
416  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] [banned mixer] - Best Bitcoin Mixer / Tumbler on: January 18, 2023, 10:20:37 AM
Is there a tutorial for new users?
Similar to any other bitcoin mixers, enter your receiving BTC address, choose between the fees (slow=>fast), send the amount you wish to mix and thats all.
You'll get a lot of mixing guides on google/youtube. Just gotta search for it.
Btw, being a hero Im not sure why you havent tried or heard of bitcoin mixers (dont know how to use it) yet? Pretty long time in crypto.
Though I have heard about it several times, I have not tried it because the occasion has not arisen, I have mostly been in trading, but I might need it since I will be moving to another continent with stricter regulations in the future.
417  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] [banned mixer] - Best Bitcoin Mixer / Tumbler on: January 18, 2023, 08:42:04 AM
Is there a tutorial for new users? There may be a difference in the mode of operation between the new project and existing platforms.
418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Elixir: A Decentralized Protocol Revolutionizing the Market Making Landscape on: January 17, 2023, 03:46:57 PM
Elixir is not a new project and has shown its relevance with several partnerships recently, including perpetual and Stella Swap, which makes me expect more partnerships from them. It would be helpful if they could show us more about their roadmap going forward. There are very few ideas in the space that get hyped up because we know it's just a money market with people who understand the market. In terms of multiple trading platforms, how many blockchains are we planning to have to help with CEX and DEX.
419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] PHE - Pheasant on: January 17, 2023, 03:51:16 AM
Github user created 15 hours ago.  That's going to be a no from me, dawg.
That's what the forum looked like in 2016/2017, everyone watching each other's back for scam projects and revealing what they find. You seem to be on the right track and please do not hesitate to do more as a new member of the forum. It seems like there is more announcement threads and new projects coming into the forum as CZ binance acknowledges this forum and people cease to trust twitter leadership, which could have an impact on cryptocurrencies.
420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] PHE - Pheasant on: January 16, 2023, 08:13:16 PM
There are many new announcement threads in the forum for this year, but I notice insufficient information and new moderators. The new member's status is not an issue but the trust in the new member to announce a new project and availability for the project in the forum. It should include links to the social platform and information about the team behind the project which are used to identify the team. In order to make announcement threads more appealing and interesting, the OP should engage some people to prepare them. The service is not free, however
