Yes it buys at some times indeed but also a lot of times where it should according to the trading signal, it actually does nothing.
Look at all the crossovers on that MACD indicator, those should all be trades. Why is it trading so little?
402  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Haasonline Simple Trade Bot For BTCe and Bitstamp[Main topic] on: October 28, 2013, 06:49:48 PM
Simple Trade Bot version 0.9.0.1 is now available for download for all registered users. To get a copy, please login again like you did before and click at the same download link. To install the new version you need to uninstall the old version first.

I hope you enjoy the changes i made! Happy coin earning/benchmarking!

I just benchmarked on some old saved data of mine and it still seems to have the bug for refusing to buy:

403  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Haasonline Simple Trade Bot For BTCe and Bitstamp[Main topic] on: October 28, 2013, 04:24:30 PM
There is just a download form. I used a webstore that accepts bitcoin payments. It requests personal information, but this is not required for me. The only thing that needs to be valid is your email adres. After payment and confirmation you will get a download link.

You can read about it here: http://www.haasonline.com/payment-details/

Are you going to post here when the new version is available?
* San1ty is eager! :-)

Alright people, it has taken me hours and hours but i was able to find the "no buy" issue. It was caused by a wrong assumption in the logic from my side. The first tests over here are looking very positive. Last night (6hours) the bot has run stable again, it made even more trades then expected. Today i will continue my testing and i will focus on fine-tuning the MACD indicator.

If all goes as expected i will release tomorrow a new version with all the reported issues fixed.

----------------

Please note: For short-term trading i recommend to use a exchange with a low fee percentage. For long-term trading i reccommend to use all exchanges.

During testing i already found out i get more trades on BTC-e then on Bitstamp. Thats is caused by the fee percentage. For BTC-e i need to pay 0.2% and for Bitstamp i need to pay 0.5% per trade. So the minimum riase and drop for Bitstamp are higher then for BTC-e, meaning less trades at Bitstamp.

If you own a copy of the software you can test this conclusion using the benchmarking tool.

(This is one of the causes of the "no buy" issue too)

----------------

@San1ty: Thank you very much for helping me answer questions here, this is a real time saver for me! Thanks!

No problem, Glad to see you found the issue :-).

Looking forward to that release! What exactly is the update procedure? Uninstall and then Install the new version?

Thank you FC, So guys is this what we were expecting? information that we already know?

Look at the share price dropping like a rock Cheesy
406  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: October 26, 2013, 06:49:51 PM
Okay, maybe 'skyrocket' wasn't the best word to use. I'm just basing that on how things were this summer and thinking that a lot of people like to put their BTC into AM shares when things are going well. I think there are a lot of people waiting to get back in as soon as things are looking up. If enough of them jump in...price goes up. To people who made a lot of money on AM in the past, I don't think it would take a whole lot of positive outlook to get people jumping back in.

That's a valid point, I think we might see a small surge tomorrow. But when div's stay low I think it'll drop again till some of the promises really materialize.
407  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: October 26, 2013, 06:44:46 PM
I wonder what can be so positive that it would make the price sky-rocket.
If there will be good news, it's probably long term.

Share price might go up in 2014, but this year? I'd be surprised.

I can't get the Bitstamp API connection working. login = your client id right? Yes I activated the API on my account.

Lol, been living under a rock today? The Bitstamp API has been acting up all day!

Hey fellas, I'm not entirely sure that my BitStamp settings for my simple trade bot are working properly but instead of entering my client ID and password under login I tried plugging in my Public and Private API keys instead in SimpleTrade bot and that seems to have worked. (again, it hasn't executed an actual trade so I can't be sure)

Hi,

It scares me that you just jump right in without knowing the tool. Please read the documentation first and use the benchmark tool!
409  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Haasonline Simple Trade Bot For BTCe and Bitstamp[Main topic] on: October 25, 2013, 03:20:48 PM
I am redesigning the entire buy/sell triggering system. There is some "island code" that should be "shared code". This could be the cause of the issues reported.

I will update the interface to provide more details about the current trade-bot status. I am adding this:

I hope this will give more insight in what is happening at the current moment. What you are looking at here are all the triggers required to allow a buy or sell signal. (except for the drop-loss of course)

I am looking into ways to show this information to at the benchmark form, but i am not sure how to do this yet.

Edit:
The shown percentages will be the new percentages inside the bot signal. They do not apply to the current version.

Good stuff! When can we expect this?

So we're going to $30 "again"? =)

It would be cool if we dropped like this. I wonder if Shroomskit managed to sell at the recent high.

yes, everyone likes a crash (no, really), but I was curious as to what allowed bitcoin to claw it's way back up after massive crashes, why didn't it die? It seems obvious to me now that silk road kept it going, and growing. Silk Road has gone - so what now?
posted before but deleted it, because i said it many times.

SR is gone, sheepmarket and BMR seeing exponential growth. (AFAIK from people buying there SR merchants simply changed marketplaces and do the same as before)
Ullbricht in the media worldwide was cheap advertising for new consumers to learn that you can buy high quality stuff on the TOR network.
pandora's box opened and hdyra is grwoing more heads.

this is bullish news for adaption of btc as a blackmarket currency.

Which in turn is bearish news for BTC in general.
I'd like for BTC to get rid of that "label".
412  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: October 25, 2013, 09:58:09 AM
Hmm, I'm out for a while, if we drop below 180 all hell might break loose. If we go back to 200, I'll gladly buy back at a loss.
413  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: October 25, 2013, 09:29:50 AM
Sales at 182.55, buys at 189.86999, what the fuck is going on?

Thin orderbook... This small downtrend is based on almost no volume at all, I don't think it has any grounds.
414  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: October 25, 2013, 09:27:24 AM
Funny how it goes from 189 to 183 in a burst within minutes, yet 200-199 and 190-189 took forever...do people try to defend a price point and hold it up? (trading noob here)

Your noobishness is excused :-). It's called volume my friend!
415  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: October 25, 2013, 09:26:22 AM
Cause Bitstamp is acting strange.

What's up with bitstamp?
416  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Haasonline Simple Trade Bot For BTCe and Bitstamp[Main topic] on: October 24, 2013, 09:26:41 PM
Thanks for the update Stephan! And thanks for looking into my issue, it's really weird, in the benchmark there are periods that it just refuses to trade :-S.
If you need any more information from my side, let me know!
417  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Haasonline Simple Trade Bot For BTCe and Bitstamp[Main topic] on: October 24, 2013, 06:33:02 PM
Strange thing I notice, sometimes there are just no selling or buying signals for a period, while the indicator is clearly indicating buy or sell:

I think my settings are solid (all on 0) so they shouldn't interfere with the signal:

PS: This is only with 1 indicator (the standard MACD)

Doubters panicked and let their bitcoins go...
I took my chances, scooped in all my loan advances...
and now I'm just holding for the longest time!

HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD
419  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Haasonline Simple Trade Bot For BTCe and Bitstamp[Main topic] on: October 24, 2013, 01:20:24 PM

No need to apologize to me, I'm not working on this project. I'm just here to help people out :-).

I know what a pain it is to correctly aggregate data from poorly coded API's so good job!

A couple of remarks:
- Some people don't like coffeescript (like myself), so maybe you could give us the possibility to write oldschool JS?
- I have a feeling you wrote this in Node.JS? Would you be interested in open sourcing your data collection module for bitstamp? I'd like to see how you make your candlesticks using bitstamps API :-).
