How do you know ? may I ask... or ar you just repeating "facts"that you have heard?

I think Russell Means would have had something to say about the "two tribe" as you call it,  situation being just spin.... but then I am sure you know already all about that.

Until there is further clarification you are as in the dark a anyone else ........... admit it!

I've enumerated the 7 facts I'm claiming below.
Which do you dispute?
If none, then you must agree that the claim that MazaCoin is working with a different Ogala govenment than that recognised by the government is false?

Quote
[1] The MazaCoin site (http://www.mazacoin.org/) has a link to the Traditional Lakota Nation (http://www.oglalalakotanation.org/oln/Home.html).
Go to that webpage, click Government, click Executive Committee.
[2]You will see that the President is Bryan Brewer, [3]the same one who has publicly said that the tribe has not adopted MazaCoin as an official currency.

Go to the South Dakota Department of Tribal Relations page for the Ogala: http://www.sdtribalrelations.com/oglala.aspx
[4]Scroll down to Current President. You will see that is it Bryan Brewer.
[5]Check the 'View the Oglala Sioux Tribe's website' link. You will see it takes you to the same ogalalakotanation.org page.

[6]The entity that MazaCoin say that they are working with is the same entity listed on the government web page as being the tribal government, and [7]that entity has denied adopting MazaCoin as an official currency.

Yes I have seen Bryan Brewers comments... and I have taken them into account.

I also believe there is a lot more going on here than is on the direct surface...

There is a difference between the traditional leadership and the government sanctioned or what you might call the white mans unofficially official tribal government... I mean does an "official federal tribal government" at this point make sense to you?

Also brewer did comment about his little visit from the FBI ... I believe that is not indispute - I wonder how that conversation went down and what subsequent covnersations were had amongst the Lakota.

Also there is more going on there at the moment than just Mazacoin... infact Mazacoin is not ontop of Brewers list of things to be invloved with..
I think pipelines and ganja fields and budgets are more his thing right now.

There will be more on this in the future... could the coin have been marketed better, yes was it misleading.. maybe... maybe not... lets wait and see
what comes from all of this.

Payu is known in the community for years, and is being very public about his role and about the coin, he is not exactly sneeking around...
so it remains to be seen who said what to who and what has been agreed and not....and where it will lead.

You know as much as we do in that Brewer made the comments he made, in his capacity of the role he is in.. no more no less... and YES they have a meaning... but NO it may not be the be all and end all of it- if it is for you then that is fine, I have more patience, and in light of other factors around this project, and around other goings on in the area and in recent(ish) history think there is more to come on the legal situtaion.

sidenote
Those federal handouts sound great- but how much longer can the fed gov hand out anything to anyone you may ask?  the country is diving down a blackhole of debt that nothing can save it from... those handouts are not long for this world anyway.

What is your interest may I ask anyway Murraypaul? are you an onlooker, investor , white knight, feel free to tell me to naff off...  but just curious..

CLAIM #1: MazaCoin was never an official currency and that was a lie.
The Reality: This is actually no fault of anyone's in the crypto community, as we couldn't have easily been aware of the current state of tribal government. Here's what this boils down to: there are two tribal governments. One is a traditional Indian construct, based on how they've governed themselves tribally for generations. The other is a construct sanctioned by the US Federal Government, which operates more like a "normal" municipal government elsewhere in the US. The federally sanctioned government, is of course, the dominant authority and is also tied to government subsidies and funding. Here's the important bit: the traditional Oglala Lakota government has fully embraced this idea and accepted MazaCoin.
My Opinion: You could easily say that, infact, MazaCoin's claim of being "official" was exaggerated - and you'd have good reason to do so. However, think carefully - the goal of this currency is to shake off dependence on dollars, federal subsidiaries, and establish a new sovereign currency. Why would the federally sanctioned machine that operates on dollars and subsidiaries approve its own downfall? It wouldn't. MazaCoin is the official currency of the sovereign free state of the Oglala Lakota. Part of the goal of MZC is to help make that state be recognized by the Federal government.

This is also a lie, based I think on misinformation spread by AnonymousPirate that there was some difference between the Ogala Sioux and the Ogala Lakota.
There isn't.
The MazaCoin site (http://www.mazacoin.org/) has a link to the Traditional Lakota Nation (http://www.oglalalakotanation.org/oln/Home.html).
Go to that webpage, click Government, click Executive Committee.
You will see that the President is Bryan Brewer, the same one who has publicly said that the tribe has not adopted MazaCoin as an official currency.

Go to the South Dakota Department of Tribal Relations page for the Ogala: http://www.sdtribalrelations.com/oglala.aspx
Scroll down to Current President. You will see that is it Bryan Brewer.
Check the 'View the Oglala Sioux Tribe's website' link. You will see it takes you to the same ogalalakotanation.org page.

The entity that MazaCoin say that they are working with is the same entity listed on the government web page as being the tribal government, and that entity has denied adopting MazaCoin as an official currency.

That is just repeating what Payu himself told people in IRC. I expect further clarification will come, I have actually spent some time today reading about the Wounded Knee standoff in 1973, and that also was largely due to this conflict between the federally sanctioned government, and the traditional chiefs and their followers.

If you are going to make a post explaining 'your thoughts' about MazaCoin, perhaps you should actually have some thoughts of your own, not just repeat what someone else has said, without checking it? This two-tribes argument is spin, and only came up after someone interviewed the tribal leader, and exposed the 'official currency' claim to be false.

How do you know ? may I ask... or ar you just repeating "facts"that you have heard?

I think Russell Means would have had something to say about the "two tribe" as you call it,  situation being just spin.... but then I am sure you know already all about that.

Until there is further clarification you are as in the dark a anyone else ........... admit it!

Also if community projects end up getting funded via the premine then this is still a very different beast to most alt coins.

perhaps there is something we can do to get the mazacoin up? We can wait and hope that t increases, but maybe we can achieve more together. Do anyone have an idea?

Discuss with the developers and the community what the community can do to help grow the community and the coin and the ecosystem around it,
what can be done for the tribe- set goals and bountys, spread awareness through social media, network to people, business, exchanges.

Looks like Bradon Ecoffey is going back on his accusations and showing at least a glint of support. It does only take just a few bitcoin videos on youtube to waken you up a little bit. Who knows it might not be long until the who lot of them in the leadership are more savvy with cryptos.

Paya should really produce a tutorial in the Native Tongue.

i am surprised he hasn't morphed into something else and slithered over here yet?

wow only 2 ppl helped me. a maza coin that is worth more means more funds for the ppl who need it most.
this price has been suppressed for over a week. now i get it you guys just want someone else to do all the work.
waiting for a big whale to come and save you pathetic

To be fair- if you are going to organise such a thing- probably better to plan it better- and give people more notice- gauge interest...
However the market being what it is- and these forum places being what they are- and pumpers planning and hinting at pumps in one
market to another- no one trusts any guy on any forum saying that we should all pile in at x - who knows the agenda of the person suggesting the plan?

If you start a buyers club- and entrust BTC to a trusted member on here that provides escrow (no not me, I do not want your btc) then a fund could be raised
and from that we could agree a trading/strategy - this would give power and flexability - but not individual control which is what most strive for with cryptos.
But but but.. merely popping up here with a newbie account with the word miner in the name at that, and suggesting people pile in buy orders at x level... is never going to bring in much support.

Also once there was a buy wall of however may btc at 2096 ... what next? and if there was a plan, what good is it inside your mind..... when everyone would need to know and be in sync..   this is why no one "supported" you, not because one expects whales to do the work. Thing is I do not have an interest in making a quick buck from this coin.. so a mini spike, or bringing it up to where it "is supposed" to be I think does not mean much..

Just my two satoshi

(I am buffaloish long term depending on certain factors of course.. but as it stands right now)

im tired of the coin be suppressed microsells all week suppressing the price. i am tired of it i prefer to do something about it. you can sit here and pick at everything and thats fine. i have been trying to get ppl join and fight back check my posts on the old thread. all my intentions are there. you know damn well this price is manipulated. if not you are a fool. im not experienced trader and i am not a pumper dumper i swear on my mother grave and lives of my children. i am just dissappointed with all the complaining and no action thats all.
this is the last you will hear from me. im out

Jeez... drama much?  I asked a few questions/made a few points, that is all no need to have a hissy bro- and I did suggest ways to get more organised- unless you are in a hurry for something why not stick around.. things will get interesting.. why go before the fun has even started ?

Also I already pretty much said yes people have been fannying around with mirco buy and sell orders..  I am not picking anything  and also I did do something
about it.. last week.

Now I am mainly interested to see how the community grows and start to work out how to get involved in a more meaningful and possible way for me, that will hopefully help the community in some way.

and... have a little more patience.. it is so early days yet that it is almost not possible for it to be any younger.

us is maza supporters this is not a pump and dump its only a pump to its proper rpice level join us 2096 buy wall keep floating dont buy just join the biggest wall

so 2096 is an "organic" figure?

And the 1 or 2 mzc orders for the last week were legit?

que?  you mean the buy and sell orders for 1 or 2 mzc to attempt to try to manipulate the market- no they are attempts to try to manipulate the market in 1 direction or 'ther.

But staying on topic ... talking about the 2096 order... as the guy said to support the wall..

I was asking if they were part of a group- fair quesiton

And asking if .00002096 was an organic clustering of buy orders he (they) have noticed and commented that we pile onto or if there was a pre agreed plan to pile onto  .00002096

I am not attacking anyone, and I am not suggesting anything and I am certainly not making any excuses about people playing games with 1 or 2 MZC - certainly on Cryptogash - the thing is if you give people the ability to place such obvious crank orders  they will do so- luckily it is as easy to spot as the fud.

Nope an investment strategy is spending all day making comments about a coin you are not interested in, do not own,  do not intend to own and do not like.

That is an investment strategy that makes sense...  how to invest your time in something you do not care about -  seems legit  Cheesy Cheesy

Does that make any sense to any rational human being? hmmm  no!  'fraid it does not make ANY sense, not a single micron of it.

You see herp,  an unintended consequence of your actions..  are that in fact you have convinced more people of the total opposite of that which you set out to do.

"Methinks the lady doth protest to much"   I seem to remember the saying to be.

Anyways- have fun : )

edit- if someone is paying you for this- you should get the sack and go re take psyc

Another pump coming...

another ? I have not seen a pump yet ... I have seen price fluctuation, but no pump....  take a look at the AUR chart and you can see what a pump looks like.
If by "another pump"  you mean another tiny bump.. or a standard price fluctuation, then I get you...

Perhaps hes talking about the 18000 satoshi bubble that happened before mzc was added to cryptsy.

I was maybe one of the first traders of Mzc on cryptorush.... and I saw, and took part in the trading that first few days  .. and there were not enough players or BTC for that to be a pump... it was not an "organised pump" in the traditional sense of the word,  that was a new and very thinly traded market, miners dumping coins and initial speculation...all took place on low volume, and  all quite normal for the "birth" of a coin...

I have not seen, and I hope to continue to not see a proper pump n dump of MZC.
