4021  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is scam, Blockchain.info wallet are rippers and scammers. on: December 28, 2017, 05:54:01 AM
you claim to be "using" bitcoin since 2011 but in the past 7 years you do not yet own a bitcoin wallet and you are instead using a third party service, in the most vulnerable way possible ie a web wallet!

and also you still haven't figured out after 7 years how fees work, and are blaming that third party for the issue!

Bitcoin is scam, I've been using bitcoin since 2011.

congratulations, you just called yourself a long term scammer!
4022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's design is severely flawed on: December 28, 2017, 05:44:39 AM
there are flaws in bitcoin, as there is in any other new invention or new technologies. there is no denying that. but it is not at all severe. that is how the design works and there are some downsides to decentralization such as failing to come to an agreement for scaling bitcoin.

Visa, Amex, Mastercard, will continue to dominate. Bitcoin really has no place in the financial world in this aspect....

this is just your opinion. all of these are centralized and that is enough incentive for wanting to use bitcoin.

and don't worry about fees, it will be fixed in a couple of months or bitcoin will simply be replaced by something that can remain decentralized and fix the fees.
4023  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not Money, is Faith on: December 28, 2017, 05:39:12 AM
well you can call bitcoin whatever you like if that helps you sleep at night Cheesy
but that doesn't change the true nature and purpose of bitcoin which is to be money and if it fails to be a currency then it is as good as dead. there is no value in something that can not perform as a payment medium.
right now it is still a currency even if it is expensive to use.
4024  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you still Trading, Investing in this Chrismas and New Year Time..? on: December 27, 2017, 04:23:21 PM
From one week ago, i saw the marketcap is decrease..
total market capitalization went down because bitcoin went down. and that is most of the market cap and also when bitcoin goes down altcoins go down faster than it and that causes the total market cap to go even lower.

Quote
So i would like to know your opinion that you are still trading or investing crypto currency in this time (Christmas time, new year time)...or you will withdraw cryto currency to usd and come back in Jan 2018.

the world doesn't shut down just because some countries are celebrating their new year. and as you can see bitcoin has been very active today and also so many altcoins have been getting pumped hard these days.

and since i am not on a holiday i will continue earning money from these pumps only if i can.
4025  Economy / Speculation / Re: 16.5K will be the major resistance for BTC ? on: December 27, 2017, 03:58:35 PM
there are currently a couple of things going on.

it is the holidays and there surely is much less activity in the market, making things different than normal times.

there are also a lot of "FUD-residue" which means people see any kind of rise as an exit opportunity not a begining of a rise and that creates virtual resistances.
4026  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do we quickly convert to euro in bad times? on: December 27, 2017, 03:41:30 PM
check out Kraken.
it has Euro markets and also it is a trusted exchange with a high enough liquidity for you to be able to trade freely.
there are also many good options on their platform including a pretty good API with lots of good features.
4027  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Morgan Stanley Bitcoin Prediction on: December 27, 2017, 03:31:40 PM
that is a very manipulative article, mostly clickbait to get people to read what it says.

i haven't really read what Morgan Stanley said, i took a quick look from some real sources not this shitty website here. and what he is saying is that bitcoin has value as a currency or a payment system and if it fails to do that then it also has no value.

he is not predicting any price or anything.
4028  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why tech giants love BTC and Financial giants hate BTC? on: December 27, 2017, 03:21:04 PM
i don't know about Warren Buffet but it was proven that Jamie Dimon was talking shit about bitcoin because his firm was investing heavily in it! they gained millions of dollars just because he called bitcoin "fraud" publicly and also manipulated the market a lot and caused a bigger drop!
4029  Economy / Speculation / Re: Another dip before new year? on: December 27, 2017, 03:09:40 PM
the risks of investing in ETH is so much higher than bitcoin because of the unsure future of it.

as for bitcoin dip, it is possible but don't expect anything big under normal circumstances. that won't happen. the chances of rising bigger are more than anything else.
right now you can see price is starting to be pretty volatile again and has a tendency to rise high and reach the previous high levels.
4030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what do you think Bitcoin Mining Profitable in 2018? on: December 27, 2017, 03:05:58 PM
I think that every hour mining bitcoin becomes less profitable and more complex. Tell me yours opinion guys plz
Digging bitcoin is not too complicated, you just have the basic knowledge about cryptocurrency and most importantly you need to have big capital. The digging of bitcoins is getting harder because of the increasing number of diggers. The profit from it is not very high

it is called mining not digging.
and it is highly profitable to mine bitcoin if you can handle the electricity costs and the maintenance that the equipment requires.
at any time you find a block you receive 12.5BTC and currently an additional 6-8BTC for the fees! (or a share of the total based on your share of the hashrate in the pool) and with the price constantly rising the profit that you make is HUGE.
4031  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Selling Altcoins to Etherium or Bitcoin for trading on: December 25, 2017, 03:37:36 PM
it depends on your views about bitcoin and also about ethereum.
sometimes (right or wrong) people have different views about these coins.

i consider ethereum to be a very bad coin which should not even be worth this high. something less than $10 is what i would value for it. but you can see it is higher and even rises sometimes.

my choice is obviously bitcoin for trading and i keep the profit in bitcoin because i believe in the future of bitcoin even though at times things may not look as well.
4032  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Dip: The Christmas Gift? on: December 25, 2017, 03:24:56 PM
some people may find this drop a bad thing or be sad about it but i personally am very happy about this drop and the size of it specially. it was really a Christmas gift that bitcoin could give us.

and i am not just saying that because price dropped and we  could buy more of it in short term with a lot of profit. that much is obvious. but i am saying that because if bitcoin continued going up then it would have been in a bubble for real. but now that it has corrected, that will put an end to all the bubble suspicious for good. of course the FUD will never end but nobody will ever think it anymore.
4033  Economy / Economics / Re: Black friday crypto correction on: December 25, 2017, 03:17:33 PM
with the big correction going on in crypto currencies what would be the best buy ?

things haven't changed much really in the cryptocurrency market, even with the recent big drop. it was like any other drop, bitcoin started dropping and then altcoins followed.

the best buy like always is to buy bitcoin at the bottom after the dump ended.
and as for altcoins you need to see which one of them has the potential to rise. and if you can't find that potential before it happens, you need to find it as it is happening. when the price is getting pumped. you buy and enjoy the profit then.
4034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin is the new Bitcoin on: December 25, 2017, 02:39:49 PM
haha, i like the second reason "high supply". i think it is safe to say that you have won the understatement of the year award!

Dogecoin is number 12 out of 1272 coins currently out there based on its supply and i think number 2 among them with highest market cap. it has 112,481,764,397 DOGE in case anyone was wondering Grin

merry xmas
4035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 12/28 SegWit 2x - Move BTC to wallet? on: December 25, 2017, 02:14:24 PM
it is totally up to you and your speculation about the new shitcoin's value.

but if you want my opinion, i say there is a very good chance that it is a worth of time and it probably won't cover the fees you have to pay to transfer your bitcoin.

specially since this new coin which is called SegWit2x has nothing to do with the original SegWit2x and it is stealing their name!
i consider that a shady behavior.
4036  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is responsable of these fees? on: December 25, 2017, 02:07:49 PM
I would like to know who is the responsible for these unjustified descomunal fees...
people who outbid each other to get a faster confirmation than the previous guy.
that is how the fee market works. there is a fixed block size which only a limited number of people can get in so they pay higher and higher fees for that spot.

4037  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it possible to receive money even though you dont have a phone ? on: December 25, 2017, 02:00:38 PM
in order to receive "money" you will need a bank account, a credit card, PayPal account, or your home address so others can send you cash via mail!
i don't see where does a phone come in and why would you think that!

in order to receive bitcoin, since this is a bitcoin forum!, you need a bitcoin address which you can create with a computer. a smart phone can do that too. but you still don't "need" a phone.
4038  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you get you bitcoin stolen? on: December 25, 2017, 01:56:12 PM
by trusting one of the old and (seemingly) trustable exchanges called bittrex.

everything was fine and nobody had any complaints, their rules were clear and a lot of people were using it. some day they decided to rob their users so they changed their rules in a way to close lots of accounts and block their funds. and they did that to thousands of users who trusted them!
4039  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: market prices please help on: December 23, 2017, 04:48:45 PM
first of all when you check the price on some website like coinmarketcap.com you need to also check how often do they update their rates, in case of this site it is 5 minutes.
i am not familiar with the other one you mentioned but check it out yourself.

ETH/BTC on Qryptos 600$

this doesn't make any sense! when you are trading on a ETH/BTC market you are trading between the two pairs called BTC and ETH, there is no $ in the middle.
the $600 you see is a conversion that the website you are checking is doing for you based on average bitcoin price which was updated probably minutes ago, which is why it is different from ETH/USD price which is the real $ value.

ETH/USD is not the same as USD/ETH, right ?
it is the same thing!

Right now on cex.io I can get 1 ETH for 895$, so ETH/USD : 895$ (1 ETH gives me 895$)
but if I sell 1 ETH I only get 773$. This is not USD/ETH : 773$. It is USD/ETH : 0.00129300   (1$ gives me 0.00129300 ETH)

that is because when you sell, you sell to those who are willing to buy from you (the bids) and they are not willing to pay more than $773
and when you buy you are buying from those who are selling (asks) and they are not willing to sell to you lower than $895

instead of buying or selling right away, you can also place an order to go into queue like the rest and wait and hope for your order to be filled.
4040  Economy / Speculation / Re: That's one hell of a correction on: December 23, 2017, 04:30:50 PM
yeah it was it was big but it was not the first time bitcoin price drops this much.
see this comment i made yesterday listing the most recent ones which were nearly the same size with the recent drop bitcoin experienced:
constant rise from $5600 to $19666 = +250%
then major drop from $19666 to $11160 = -43%

constant rise from $2970 to $7888 = +165%
then major drop from $7888 to $5555 = -30%

constant rise from $1800 to $4797 = +166%
from $4979 to $2972 = -40%

constant rise from $891 to $2980 = +234% (ignoring 1 drop here)
from $2980 to $1830 = -39%

this is so common that it sometimes even forms up a nice little pattern of the same size rises, then the same size correction before the rise continues and the same pattern is shaped.
