I know why the mods don't want to lock/trash the thread. It's in the Games and Rounds section. I don't really know how this ANN ended up there but, I see the point now. I guess this case is closed now.
I'll just keep my eyes on the project in case the move the ANN back to the ANN section, where it used to be.

You are not rewarding the mistakes, you are rewarding the balls to take high risk, when you know one mistake will ruin these middle class and push them into poverty. There are too many people who are not saving any money at all and even worst, they spending that money on cheap consumer products and booze and gambling. I say, reward the poor & middle class when they take these risk and help them when they fall. Why should the government provide a safety net for the rich and not for the poor? <When the rich people take these risks, they know they will have this safety net, so they take reckless risks> I say, give this safety net <bailout> to everyone or take it away for the rich and the poor. Sorry but I call this bullshit. 1st. All the traders on the stock market should be rewarded when they make a wrong decisions. 2nd Why someone else should be responsible for your stupidity when choosing a scamcoin for example? 3rd I, as a tax paying person, disagree my money to be distributed to the fools mentioned in the point 2. 4th Then everyone shall make a bad deals for the easy money, and there you go, the perfect way to exploit the government's money, my money. 5th Everyone will become a scammer as it so easy to fool the people ... I can continue for days so I'll stop here as those should be enough arguments. No thanks, I prefer to bear the responsibility for my own actions, gains and looses. If I make a wrong decision, it's my problem. If I loose more money than I can afford, it's because of my stupidity. That's it.

I start to feel sorry for the guy now, even though he is a shitposter, that's quite a lot of shit going his way, isn't it? He got so scared that he is not even logging anymore, I guess the tactics to scare the shitposter is working fine Shall we lock the thread or we gonna wait for him to appear?

~ Well, that was the hidden dirty trick in my idea Every spammer would just had their spam posts deleted after a while, but no other members would suffer for deleting that one big spam megathread... I know that nowdays everything is robotized, and bots don't really care about the whole thing... But to be more serious: What if we restrict the posting to 1 post per day until the newbies get 1 merit at least? That won't restrict them too much, they can ask for help, they can open a topic if they need, but we will have less spam (they can't join to a sig.campaign where there's a 20 post minimum per week) The same would apply for jr.members too... I know that account farmers would just start to create more accounts, but it would be more easy to spot them too... I knew that but let's be serious, theymos is not implementing anything any time soon. See his response from today > None of these ideas are new to me. Even if I don't respond to suggestions, I do read them, and they float around in my mind going forward. If it's not already done, then there's some reason why. A big possible reason is that I'm the only person who does development on the current code, and my time is limited. Another big reason is that this is a huge forum with complex dynamics, and even small policy changes can have big effects which need to be thought through very carefully.

so i can report my programs. I am afraid that if posted too many times can not report
so you are only here for bounty money! awesome... Just as like most of the bounty hunters, who only care about their post quantity... I don't know why they try to post in spam megathreads, those are periodically get deleted... If they would just post in off topic, they won't lose a post... I often think about creating one megathread in the off topic section for those who only want to gain activity, e.g.: post here to increase you post count and not to bother the other users on the main boards... In that case they would have a topic where they can spam and the forum would be free (or nearly free) of spam... Just image that this thread gets deleted.. hundredths of accounts will be back to newbie for just a second. It's a good strategy to discourage the shitposters after mounts of posting and waiting the activity to increase. In the high-tech era we are lining now everything is robotized so are the account farmers, so to troll them it's not easy as the bots don't really care if they gonna be busted, they just start all over again with a new strategy.

Or alia. I'm really getting curious who the hell is this alia? Is she some kinda talent of some dildo commercials? The long story short. It was a short romance between alia and nullius a few months ago. She was selling private online sessions for crypto but at the end it turned out that alia is actually alt account of the scammer favours and nullius was quite disappointed, I guess that's why he left took a brake off the forum. The story was quite entertaining and much more complex but hope this is enough for you info.

I don't need to repeat myself every time but man, this is great analysis, thanks. You deserve every single merit you got til now, don't listen to those who complain, they envy you. Seems like the majority of those 27 have acquired the most merits in the meta section and this is not surprising as this was the "hottest" subject for the last couple of months. I'm happy to see that just a bit more than the half of my merits (63%) are collected in meta, and big part of the rest are in the Beginners & Help (28%). So I'm on the right way in helping the community.I'm satisfied. I can't wait to see your next idea. Really like surprises

I'm not fan of Star Wars I focus on Anime. Anyways it's getting out of topic, better now I should buy some Yoge and do some yoga.
The topic is awfully, that's why everyone is going off-topic here. Anyway this is turning in one of the threads which I report for spam/off-topic do I hope the mods will close it as there's nothing new to be added.

Alternatively, an image of a half-naked woman could be displayed, and if you look closely READ THE RULES could be edited across her boobs? I'm sure that would get their attention. 10 merits for this.
~
The offer of 50 merit for the dubstep track with the hook still stands and 10 for the boobs (make sure she's not actually naked or topless though and don't put it in image tags. Also mark it as NSFW).
If you put a naked/half-naked or even boobs to make people read the rules no one will ever read them, most of them gonna be bashing the candle and after that no one will remember to read the rules.. Better use some scary shit that can shake them really hard and BOO! READ THE F.king RULES can appear. I bet they gonna remember it quite for long... It's a joke.

Trying to refrain from asking to buy that doodle. (how many merit is it worth ) Based on the time used and my drawing skills I guess this is quite valuable piece of art. I don't think you are able to "pay" for it even with your "Has at least 7 sMerit available" /thanks to Vod and BPIP project/, but you don't need to. I'm a fan of the Open Source Initiative so, I would like to have my "art" publicly accessible so everyone can benefit out of it, feel free to use and modify it the way you wish, but please don't sell it for merit

With those one-liners of yours probably never, see your post history, compare it to mine , for example or any other with a bit more merit, and ask yourself how those people get merit and why I don't. Sorry

I've found a lot less copy past bots recently as they have mostly switched to spinning which takes a lot longer to find where they copied from. After seeing theymos' response in your suggestion thread it seems the things that would actually stop bots are very unlikely to happen. I don't think I'll wast any more time reporting them as you're right that we can't win just by banning them if they can just start again. While that financial incentive is in place there will just be more and more of them coming.
Yeah, many are giving up reporting because only the posts get deleted but accounts often continue to do the same, and if by change some of those get banned, they just go make new account and start all over again. So even banning is not efficient but it is quite hard to achieve. I saw the impact of the SpamBuster's club at the beginning but now more people are getting discouraged as there are no any reason to report anymore. You get to close one ANN then they open a new one, you report that too they one a third one, its like playing cat and mice game with the scammers/spammers.

I'll leave this open then, as I thought that the case was closed, but since you add more to the discussion I'll give a change to jackg to answer if he wants. If there is nothing more to be added, I'll wait some time and lock the thread again.

~ Edit- Just noticed after I went and did this he appeared in the thread OP linked Well, I'm just happy that /probably/ this request has made him respond even in his laconically style, it should be enough to know in which direction we can put more effort and find "solutions". Thank you theymos. The quoted answer, for reference. Follow the quote to the full post. None of these ideas are new to me. ~snip~
As I have nothing more to ask and already got my answer, I'm locking this thread. Thanks everyone for the collaboration and fun

Dear theymos, I know you have said/written a few times before that you like to troll/surprise the people but we are coming to a serious point now so we are hoping for some reaction from your side. I'm fairly new members, since November 2017, and probably I'm not the one who has to request this from you, but as there is no one else til now /as far as I know/ I'm taking this chance. I hope that I have proven myself till now that I care about the forum, and my actions here are driven only by the community will for improvement. A part (big one) of the respected members of the forum have been suggesting many improvements for the last couple of months, with almost no reaction/comments from your side. Lately, one of the Global moderators put a lot of effort to collect all the worthy suggestions from the past in one place with the hope that this will caught your attention, but again, you still remain in silence. Straight to the point. Please spare some time for us and give us some feedback/information on the suggestions and tell us what is your vision / I know that you won't share your plans/ for the forum in the near future. What about the new software, shall I live long enough to see it? I think all those people dedicating their time to make this place better, and disappointed by the total abuse of the forum in many ways, and no reaction at all, they deserve at least some answers. Otherwise we may loose them and they are great asset to the whole crypto world. As I said I was inspired by the crowd to make this request. With all my respect, I'm (we're) hoping to hear from you soon.
My request was answered here: ~

How illiterate one should be to put all his savings in something so volatile as bitcoin. The were some people selling their houses/cars to invest in crypo, I don't know what they're doing but the suicide rates are a bit higher then the last years, so hope is not the reflection of the bear market last few months.
You loose only when you sell.

Just an observation but there seem to be a lot of 'me too' style generic posts on here, am I being paranoid or would better security measures improve the signal to noise ratio here?
entire cryptomarket is abused with bots marketing, many bots are ais faking people to scam others Well, report them. Only complaining doesn't help much. If you see anything suspicious, report it. More people should be familiar how to report and do it.
