4101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Welcome to Cryptoworld ALCT on: August 20, 2020, 10:29:43 AM
Is ALCT the same was Waves like you previously mentioned in your WhitePaper? It seems that you copied 99.8% of Waves' WhitePaper and you just added some parts of ALCT on it. I would like to know if they are of the same nature and kind in order to prevent and avoid any confusion.

Thanks!

Totally fake  team members and that probably means this will end up as one more quickly done scam.
Please notice some grammatical mistakes on their website:

4113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why not we donate some Bitcoin for corona virus? on: February 11, 2020, 07:11:17 PM
There are problems that stick when we put BTCs in the process of donating to the patients who have corona virus.

First, the government of China has the necessary funds of creating hospitals and providing equipments needed in order to treat the virus. Second, even if we donate some BTCs to the ones affected, they would not be able to use it due to being isolated and contaminated. Third, it is better if we donate some of our BTCs to countries who are underdeveloped (e.g. countries in Africa, etc.) and lastly, better armed yourselves with the necessary funds before donating! The virus can quickly spread as it slowly becomes an epidemic to the world.

I appreciate the thought of OP but it would be better if we let the government exercise its power in treating the virus.

<snip...>

Just to add on your list:

I think you should also consider maximizing your opportunities are these are what skyrockets the gains of an individual person. There are people na may ganyan din mga traits and characteristics pero they should know on how to maximize the opportunity given to them. Minsan kasi, may mga tao na matiyaga at matalino pero hindi sila nabibigyan ng opportunity. Pero din iba na wala silang mga traits na ganyan and nasayang nila yung mga opportunity na ikayayaman sana nila.
4115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can save some people's lives :-> on: February 11, 2020, 11:43:42 AM
I watched a Youtube video last night about the food merchants in some of the markets in Wuhan <China> and I noticed that most of them are using electronic payment methods to pay for goods. < Wechat Pay >

Ok, it is not Bitcoin, but if more merchants using Fiat currency can switch over to Bitcoin, you might see less infections. The reason for this is simple, because the Corona virus can be transmitted from person to person via cash being used on a daily basis.

People can also do online payments with Bitcoin to avoid handling physical cash and thus avoiding infection. It can also prevent people from being infected from a host of other viruses and bacteria that can survive for days on physical coins and notes.

This is just one more reason for people to move away from physical payment methods and shifting to a cash-less financial system in the future.  Wink

Going by that logic, if infections would be spread 'less' due to eliminating fiat, aren't products also infected as well?

I'm not against the your post, in fact, I am surprised that there are merchants that accept bitcoin as a payment method. China has seen the potential of cryptocurrencies and its effect in the future. I hope that countries will view this as an example in considering utilizing cryptocurrencies as a payment option.

Aside from that fact, I do agree that shifting towards a digitalized payment will inevitably happen in the future. But we cannot implement it now as there are countries from the underdeveloped and developing are slowly innovating their technology and infrastructures. They still lack the necessary technology to shift towards this payment method.
4116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Break away from gambling. on: February 10, 2020, 11:23:05 PM
I agree and I think that determination is key in anything you want to achieve.Even in such a difficult case when someone addicted to gambling want to quit the main factor for me is determination. The problem though is very few people have it and many lack it.If you want something really bad you will get it eventually while doing all the required work for it.

Like what I have said before, removing addiction is not an overnight process where you just magically wish it away. It requires time, effort, and determination both to yourself and to the people around you that are willing to support/help.

Not just in gambling but addiction in general can be potentially dangerous especially if you lose the discipline and self-control to limit your actions. Determination and motivation are indeed the key but these are the first steps that you must undertake before you continue the process. Without these factors, an individual might be having a hard time deviation from his addiction, which might further damage his relationships around him.
4117  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ways of earning merit. on: February 10, 2020, 10:20:10 PM
Since the introduction of the merit system, a lot of time has passed. Tell me, what are the most effective ways to earn merit in 2020?

Well to be honest, in earning merits, you do not think about EARNING them. You just share on what you know about cryptocurrencies or make a discussion about a topic that seems controversial or highly debatable. If you aim is to earn merits in this forum, you will definitely have a hard time gaining. What you need to think about is on how you can be an asset to this forum and the merits will be a by-product along the process.

If you are really determined enough to earn some merits, then make a useful thread along the forum and help newbies on their queries or questions on the forum. Helping one another and providing details about a certain topic may earn you some merits.
4118  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin withdrawal fee is damn high in exchanges! on: February 10, 2020, 09:53:54 PM
The only lackings I see in bitcoin is its too high withdrawal fee. Almost every exchange takes such a huge fee for bitcoin transactions. I tried in several exchanges and was shocked because they all are asking 9-12$ withdrawal fee! What do you think about this issue guys? Why are they asking this high fee?

Unfortunately, the less miners we have the higher the transaction fees go. It also depends on the exchange that you are using.

Generally, international exchanges have higher fees compared to local exchanges that are available in your country. Preferably, you should check whether you have a local exchange in your country and try withdrawing your BTCs there. If your country does not have one, then I would suggest withdrawing your BTCs in one transaction to avoid high and continuous fees.

It is not an issue, just like us, they also has families to feed, bills to pay up, and other personal needs. We just have to be wise when using exchanges, in my case, if I really needed the money as soon as possible, I will convert my bitcoin in a token that has lower transaction fee when you are withdrawing it our from your wallet in a certain exchanger to your cryptocurrency wallet.

Examples of that tokens are XRP and ETH. But if you are going to hold your bitcoin and you need to transfer it somewhere safe, I guess the transaction fee is worth to be paid.

This is actually very useful! Converting your bitcoins into other tokens can potentially lessen your fees but you should look for an exchange that has the best rates in order to maximize the value.
4119  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: nCOV(Corona Virus) at Cryptocurrency on: February 10, 2020, 09:43:12 PM
There can be a possibility about sa connection ng nCOV at ng cryptocurrency but before I start to panic about my investments, I would first panic about my current situation.

4120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is easier, stop when you are winning or stop when you are losing? on: February 10, 2020, 12:37:16 PM
I like to know your opinion about the question because I believe every gambler has a different way of managing himself.

My answer to the question is I can easily stop when I am winning because I am afraid I might end up with nothing since I know to myself that I am not yet consistent enough to win in gambling, however, based on my experience, I can't easily stop when I am losing despite the fact that I already set up a limit to gamble in a certain day or a certain session.

Do we have the same attitude or not?

Ohh this is an interesting question!

Winning and losing actually puts a gambler in a pedestal on whether to gamble or to stop. Most gamblers that I know, whenever they win, they would continue to gambling but when they lost, they try to recover the value that they had just lost. It's actually funny and at the same time problematic on where to draw the line on stopping on your winnings or continue to recover your losses.

It would be easier to stop gambling when you are winning. Commonly, if you lose, you tend to play more to get your money back. And that will lead you to play more and you won't stop until you are satisfied or win. If you win, you will consider that you should stop so you can prevent from losing in the end.

To be honest, it's not that easy to stop especially if you are on a winning streak. Not to mention, losing in gambling makes you want to gamble more in order to recover your losses. The key here is to bring only a limited amount of money and bring someone in order to tell you to stop.
