4101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Price Map on: June 19, 2020, 11:31:58 AM
I don't know that the default table is built up by how many indicators. From the default table, I see some top nations:
Nigeria, Uganda, South Africa, Zambia, Peru. The full table is at https://www.bitcoinpricemap.com/ranking

The global price is $9489, and global volume is 598512 BTC. I don't mention about price but for the global volume it is different and less than the figure that I takes from https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/. According to coinmarketcap.com, there are 2,049,448 BTC globally. I think above comments are right, the site gives figures for P2P market only.

The site's exchange rank page lists many exchanges that I don't know about: https://www.bitcoinpricemap.com/exchanges

I have come up with the frequent question; where to earn free money? or how to win without investing anything?
There is no benefits back for you if you don't invest anything. Invest does not always equal to financial invesment. You can make either financial investment or knowledge investment. Financial investments sometime bring your profits, sometime bring you losses but knowledge investment always bring benefits to you.

If you don't have good skills in computer stuffs or weak at such stuffs, don't engage in mining. It takes your time, and requires knowledge and skills.

Try Apps, software
Don't do this. Because there are many bad apps that can contain threats to compromise your devices and your funds. Don't try and install any apps on your devices if you don't know where they are from, and how safe such apps are. Like this For Crypto Users: Reasons why we should not download pirated softwares

Enjoy your avatar!

I don't have time to merit all your individual posts, but they aren't bad, you don't look like a spammer, so you shouldn't be held back by the Merit system.

I am very happy to see the spree. Thank you.

4105  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: bitcoin/bitcointalk.org Races Stats Animation - all in one thread on: June 18, 2020, 01:16:25 PM
I think you can post one photo for all types of race to make your topic visually. For the other races, you can list them in a table.

The link to DT1 strength race in OP is not correct. It is 2881001, not 2870679.

How can this easily be solved?
Scan files with virustotal.com first. It's a legit site and it will always tell you if there is a virus. However, sometimes it will give you something called a false positive, where virustotal thinks there is a virus but there isn't.
Another way to do it is by buying a VPS (virtual private server). You can download things on there without harm because it's not on your computer.
Don't know what a VPS is or does? Here are some explanations:
- https://www.dreamhost.com/blog/beginners-guide-vps/
- https://www.namecheap.com/hosting/what-is-vps-hosting-definition/

Never download unknown softwares Wink (unless it's from verified companies of course)
In some countries, people use cracked softwares that contains risks for their computers.

My message are:
- Don't use cracked softwares.
- Don't click on any links you receive on any channels: emails, Telegram, Discord, facebook, twitter, etc.
- Don't visit dark or strange sites.

You inspired me, Boss!

4110  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why it’s important to avoid telling everyone about your crypto holdings on: June 12, 2020, 12:13:39 PM
Some people make lots of status on their Facebook accounts. So attackers do know they are crypto investors and sure they put themselves under future attacks because of their self disclosures. Careful people do not disclose to the others that they are crypto investors that in turn minimize risks of attacks on their privacy, and their crypto funds.
4111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Warning when transaction fee exceeds sent amount for bitcoin wallets? on: June 11, 2020, 11:39:09 AM
Minutes ago, I thought of the warning message for Bitcoiners whenever they click on Send Bitcoin with transaction fee exceeds sent amount of bitcoin. I use Electrum wallet and I don't see the feature for such a warning (or I missed it). I wonder that there are any bitcoin wallets have such a warning?

From my mind, I only think of the warning on services, platforms, wallets whenever one person make a transaction. A warning like that
"Your transaction fee exceeds the amount you will send out for this transaction. Please double-check to make sure that you already set up your sent amount and your fees correctly!"
4112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How To Avoid High Transection Fees Like This on: June 11, 2020, 11:34:52 AM
Better to know the gas rate of ETH before you are sending transaction if you are that cautious on spending too much on transaction fee. That quoted mistake that you quoted are very rare to happened unless the ETH blockchain is too clogged just like what happened when crypto kitties introduced.

You can use this site to have idea on the current gas price:
https://ethgasstation.info/
Are there any ways that senders can make personal smart contracts and get his transaction fees back, at half-split of whatever rate?

The transaction is suspicious and shady and only experts can dig and investigate it.

From my mind, I only think of the warning on services, platforms, wallets whenever one person make a transaction. A warning like that
"Your transaction fee exceeds the amount you will send out for this transaction. Please double-check to make sure that you already set up your sent amount and your fees correctly!"
4113  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Sending Bitcoin from legacy address to segwit address? on: June 06, 2020, 02:25:05 PM
SegWit is backwards compatible. You can send from a SegWit address to a Legacy address and the other way around without any problems.

However, some service providers (exchanges, onlie wallets...) did not upgrade their platforms to support SegWit. Therefore, you will not be able to withdraw from them to bc1 addresses but you can make deposits.
You can check Bench32 adoption there. It does probably not cover all exchanges, wallets, processors, etc. but you can have a quick overview by looking at that page.

For your interested one, you can dig more on their FAQs for more details.
4114  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [WARNING] Blockchainhalving on: June 06, 2020, 03:23:16 AM
They appear to have changed the logo on the site, presumably to avoid accusations of plagiarism.

But still, this is most likely a phishing scam site so everyone be careful.

The change does not make any sense because at the start, they used the logo of Blockchain. In reality, not only logo but they even did not mind to change the text on the right side of the logo. They kept using Blockchain.com's logo and the text "Blockchain". How lazy and stupid they were. If they are not an impersonator of Blockchain.com they don't do this.

The latest change is only their adaptation to cope with any accusations on them and as I said it does not make any sense.

From such bad things, there is no need to make any further investigation about blockchainhalving. Stay away from the site if you don't want to lose your Bitcoin and Ethereum.
4115  Other / Meta / Re: Save your nice merit records here - V2 (new, updated thread) on: May 31, 2020, 02:17:04 AM
- Which image contents will be snapshotted? Only username and merit numbers or username with merit numbers and user avatar. Different set of contents will result in different image display with same width and height.

I am fine with different kind of screenshots, as long as they are height=200. I already updated OP.
I guess you did not catch my idea. My idea is if you only advise people to use a fixed height for their merit images, at 200, their merit images will be different. Some will snapshot their images at profile pages, without avatars. In contrast, some will snapshot their images in posts, with or without avatars. There will be at least three types of images and the diversity will make your OP be inconsistently displayed. If you include a rule with fixed height and only one image type, OP will look better. That post looks good with consistently displayed images. Compare it with that one and with OP.

It's your decision and I only explain my idea in more details.
4116  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: This forum is much more than just signature campaigns... on: May 30, 2020, 03:02:41 AM
Apart from the invaluable learning and increasing comprehension skills, I earned some money also which I wanted to share with you guys. From the initial days I was clear that I will not be joining any signature campaign whatsoever because it leads to the compulsion of posting minimum number of posts in particular sections, which can only be done by compromising with your quality and enjoyment.
Below are my earnings through freebies, forum special free rolls, free signup no deposit bonuses, reviews etc (which are open to any one, some might have jr member rank requirements) and just forum games in last 90 days.
I think spending time for freebies, free rolls, free signup, reviews, etc will cost your precious time resource that should be used to learn about Bitcoin, blockchain, cryptocurrency on the forum. I don't have too much time on the forum but I see people are very knowledgeable and newbies can learn from those experts or knowledgeable users.

I care about privacy so I dig to find such discussions on privacy and find some good documents here.

4117  Other / Meta / Re: Save your nice merit records here - V2 (new, updated thread) on: May 30, 2020, 02:58:33 AM
OP should include guides to make snapshot of merit profile:
- Width and height with Paint as pointed out by Ratheyon here
- Which image contents will be snapshotted? Only username and merit numbers or username with merit numbers and user avatar. Different set of contents will result in different image display with same width and height.

I will try to hit 100 merit and leave my image here.  Cool
4118  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you use "report" button during posting ? on: May 26, 2020, 11:25:14 AM
Well, I can say that it was effective lol. Honestly, I very seldom reporting sh*tty posts these past couple of months maybe because of being busy. But this thread reminded me to be more active on reporting once again hehe. I don't know if you feel this as well but I really feel good every time I report and maintaining a 100% accuracy at the same time. For me it represents that I've got a fair judgement as a person Cheesy.
Reporting is the same as posting. It is difficult to maintain the rate of correct report at 100% but you can. Why I say it is the same as posting? If you think twice before you make a post that your post is necessary for the discusion (or in the other words, has it been answered by others), and apply it when you report a post. Think twice that whether your report reason is good, then you will have prob to see your rate staying at 100%.
4119  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Tips] A Member ask Me: Merit Value Greater Than Activity. How it happen? on: May 24, 2020, 10:46:54 AM
Where did you start? From newbie or with some initial airdropped merits?

I will try to apply your tutorial and keep practicing it and I wish I will achieve something. 39 more merits to go to the Full member rank. I wish that I can achieve it before the new year 2021.
4120  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Find your managers on: May 23, 2020, 04:55:44 AM
OP, you forget mprep and btcltcdigger...
the two BMs I remind you of have a good experience even though I personally have never seen them handle a campaign with a Bitcoin as paid.
I added mprep to the list of managers but I don't do this for btcltcdigger. Thank you.
