Make MMA the next addition! This makes me wonder if the betting could be part of the blockchain itself.

Counterparty/XCP is embedded into the blockchain, so you can more or less say that the bets will be enforced by bitcoin's PoW

Countersports - you should use the new XCP logo and not the old one, maybe you can contact XCP team for this.

You can buy certified green energy in most European countries, in some it isnīt even more expensive.

I'm from Belgium. I pay even less for 100% certified green energy with a small distributor. The main electricity distributor is just too greedy with small users.

For my company, though, it's different, their prices are competitive. I've not made the math for PETA but I remember a threshold at 64 Mwh/year to get to into a new group and have access to better prices.

You can make calculations on this site (only in french & dutch) http://www.monenergie.be/ or http://www.mijnenergie.be/ but you don't know about the special deals CryptX might have.

Fantastic ! I'l certainly lose some of my XCP there during the world cup Smiley

Wow ! Countersports is greaaaaat !  I was waiting that from a long time Smiley

But who is behind ? Because we need to trust the feed issuer.
425  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] SCRYPT 10 GH/s hosted scrypt mining project by CRYPTX - IPO 7 MAY on: May 20, 2014, 04:34:20 PM
cryptx just confirmed that the IPO hash rate is fully deployed.  Good job!

Would still be nice to get the hashrate stats on a webpage.

And I guess Sean's Outpost wins.

Just had the mail too

Excellent news. If I had some BTC left I'd buy more shares.
426  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] PETAMINE - NEW IPO, NEW HARDWARE, 1,500 TH/S HASH RATE on: May 20, 2014, 03:03:54 PM
1. Peta promised 700Th/s  back in january.  four months later: 500Th/s

You're wrong there, they promised 8.68 GH/S / share and they almost delivered by buying back and "destroying" those shares (units outstanding went from 80,673 to 66,206 which represent a rise from 6 GH to 7.55 GH per unit)

Though, they promised 8.68 GH/s per share so it's still a 13% shortfall

The problem is that they are re-creating and IPOing those shares with new promises without waiting the market to stabilize. That's why many feels trapped.

I have the feeling that a week or two of the mine @500 Th and divs distributed amongst the 66206 units would have make things easier to understand.
427  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] PETAMINE - NEW IPO, NEW HARDWARE, 1,500 TH/S HASH RATE on: May 20, 2014, 02:27:01 PM
Cryptx should have done the Peta Ipo first then when we are hashing at top speed and getting div. do the Scryptx IPO...

The new Scrypt ASICs came before the new Bitfury ASICs

What looks fishy is that when finally the shareholders got what they were promised back in 2013, dividend are halted...
428  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] SCRYPT 10 GH/s hosted scrypt mining project by CRYPTX - IPO 7 MAY on: May 20, 2014, 02:24:11 PM
Any news about the next 0.944 Gh/s  ?

Any progress for a web page to monitor the mine ?

Thx !
429  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] PETAMINE - NEW IPO, NEW HARDWARE, 1,500 TH/S HASH RATE on: May 20, 2014, 02:11:05 PM
What a mistake to launch two IPO's in such a short term on a small website!

It might be considered a mistake, but in the mining world, it would have been a mistake not to capitalize on the momentum they had.

What could have been done is, announce the new 1500 Th mine, let the market fix a price and IPO around that value. 0.095 is a good price but it looks expensive for those who sold one week ago.

Timing with ScyptX IPO was bad too, but I guess they hadn't the choice since they are already hashing.

Things will change if they add hardware before the end of the IPO (which is the thing to do at the moment)

CryptX, have you thought about Counterparty to issue decentralized stocks ?
430  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] SCRYPT 10 GH/s hosted scrypt mining project by CRYPTX - IPO 7 MAY on: May 16, 2014, 09:21:30 PM
As in the prospectus: The used percentage of reinvestment is indicative and will be determined by market conditions at that time.
We are managing this project with long term strategy in mind and reinvestment will determine if we are going to be a long or short term player.

Fair enough, I think you know best what to do.

Thanks for this clarification.
431  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] SCRYPT 10 GH/s hosted scrypt mining project by CRYPTX - IPO 7 MAY on: May 16, 2014, 05:11:33 PM
What is going in? This isn't the original 50/50 split you said in your prospectus?

Indeed, that needs an explanation.

The yield on Havelock is incorrect, I think that's because they base their calculation on monthly divs
432  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] SCRYPT 10 GH/s hosted scrypt mining project by CRYPTX - IPO 7 MAY on: May 15, 2014, 12:23:39 PM
In the prospectus it says that IPO will end 15/05/2014 or when all batches are sold, so that would be today.
Can't or musn't this be prolonged by another week?

Nope. It ends today.

Thanks for you analysis mikemike. I made a rough estimate that was more or less the same. Excellent return for a 50% reinvestment project.

Indeed, the market should open right after the end of the IPO. Actually it's better to have less shares sold at IPO for the current unitholders since before ScryptX reach full capacity (100 KH/s per unit) it'll dilute the dividends between them.

At the moment, if they are still hashing at 2Gh/s, deployement is ~69% done.

coloured coin live in 25hr

Can we vote on trading out share on the bitcoin blockchain?
Nothing wrong with Havelock right now.

I'd prefer Counterparty above Colored coins, but no real issue with havelock anyway

baddw,

I think that's a great idea. I am working on a feed site as well.

The focus of my site will be sporting events and it will be live shortly after the functionality is added to Counterwallet.

I should mention - this project is not affiliated with the Counterparty project and the founders of Counterparty are not involved.

Glad to hear to good news! Counterparty is really getting out of the shadow.

Do you think it'll be up for the FIFA World cup ? I think that XCP could gain a lot exposure from this event.
435  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] SCRYPT 10 GH/s hosted scrypt mining project by CRYPTX - IPO 7 MAY on: May 07, 2014, 10:49:54 AM
Hello, looking forward for that IPO

One question though : What justify the price difference between the 3 batches of the IPO ?

2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil is coming...

No need to wait that long, ucl semi tomorrow/and the day after, league games at end of season are heated, we just need the support from counterwallet to make it easier to access, and a solid organizer/feeder.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Counterparty can only brodcast a binary outcome, not a Team1 won/ Team2 won / Draw game outcome. This could work for the second stage (tournament style with direct elimination) but not for the group stage where draws are allowed. Or in case of a draw at group stage, the feeder could cancel the bet, and return the wagered XCP to everyone (a workaround but a bit strange IMO)

Actually I'm wrong, according to this wiki page https://wiki.counterparty.co/w/Enhanced_Feed_Info_in_Counterwallet, a draw can be listed.

Anyway, this could be a great PR for XCP if the interface is noob firendly on counterwallet !

Are there any European shareholders that would be interested in taking a trip to Brussels to visit the mine?  I am very interested in seeing some pictures of the operation and would be willing to chip in for travel costs.

I'm paying a bounty of .5 btc for a picture of a verified shareholder in front of the mining racks standing next to Cryptx.  Anyone else want to chip in?

Who says CryptX would allow such a visit?

A few months ago I mentioned to Cryptx via PM that I was thinking about visiting the mine.  At that time he seemed amiable and would have welcomed the visit.

Of course, the visit would be vetted through Cryptx before actually occuring.

I can do it, even if I sold my shares weeks ago (If you want a real shareholder I can buy back some Smiley ) I live in the same city, I know the building where it is hosted.

Cryptx would have to agree about a visit of course.

Is this the Stockholm Syndrome thread ?
439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XCP] Counterparty Protocol, Client and Coin (built on Bitcoin) - Official on: March 31, 2014, 04:14:02 PM

Both use the bitcoin block chain so confirm times are the same.
There are no new coins of either.  There are more Mastercoin than Counterparty
Since they are on the bitcoin block chain, they use the same algorithms of bitcoin, they are not separately mined, or merge mined, they use the bitcoin protocol as the fundamental layer.

The feature sets are fairly similar, the implementations have significant differences.  Both of these change rapidly though as they are under heavy development.

Mistake here, there are approx 4.27 times more XCP than MSC

(does anyone have a good theory on why the share price is falling this much?)

Because there is no buying orders. As soon as a shareholder with 10 BTC worth of PETA shares sells, price drop by 0.01 on average.
