How safe is it to leave funds at the exchanges for a long period of time.
e.g., 10k sitting at the exchange at low bids for a long time.
Given all the news about BTC being stolen from wallets etc.. I know it is fiat and not BTC, but the hacker could easily convert the Fiat to BTC and take them out.

Thats what Ripple is trying to do. (albeit at a smaller scale). Premine the coins and try to prop up the price.

To quote the fine print from any major stockbroker, "past performance is no guarantee of future results". As much as I'd personally like to see a constant linear growth in the price of BTC, I highly doubt the continued accuracy of this model...

I agree, there is no guarantee of exponential growth in the future. As the market grows bigger and bigger, the growth patter will move from exponential to linear and so on....

That is a large sale, there are a few veterans on this board who own a lot of bitcoin. However, they are not really reading the beginner forum. You might want to graduate to the other forums and post the ad in there.

Coinbase is pretty good. You can link your bank account. For the first month you have a limit of 1 BTC per day. Which should be waived once you verify your identity.
