Personally, in the overall scheme of things, I think everyone involved deserves to be punished. The investors got their lessons already, by losing most of their money. If they now want to bring some retribution on pirate and whoever else he may have been involved with, who are we who had nothing to do with this to stop them? And why do you care what happens to him or his family? I say let them find everything on everyone, and let us sit back and see what happens.

a $5 wrench could be a pretty effective password cracker for whatever encryption Pirate might use.

No U.
Quite Fucking True (QFT) does not equate to Shut The Fuck Up (STFU)........ You may want to rethink that zinger of a response. The phrase you're looking for here is "Quoted for truth". I thought it was: Quit Fucking Talking (QFT)

You all got fucked! YARR! (And you're too stupid to realize it.)

This will be good for bitcoin if for no other reason people will not be so quick to protect suspected schemes like this.
At least I would hope so. It at least sets a precedent.
Yep, irregardless of how this all ends, there will be many precedences set. How is a bitcoin ponzi a precedence? The $5 million USD amount maybe a precedence but not the scam. It's not like we haven't seen this all before. And we will see it again, guaranteed. You know what they say about fools and their money?

I will give you 100 BTC.
Given the developing situation, I don't think that is lowball.
I don't think so. I actually think you are high. At this point I wouldn't even offer 10 BTC myself.

What's creepy about getting scammed and wanting retribution?
Retribution is not going after someone's family who probably has no idea what the hell their idiot brother or son did. Then why did his dads website go down as well? At the same time mind you.

If Pirate was going to bail with the money, dude would be long gone by now.
In what sense is he not long gone? Lol, seriously. He could be posting from a beach in Central America right now for all anyone knows. People are way to gullible.

Im sure they will when/if the official default happens
The official default has already happened . He has admitted he can't pay the loans back because he doesn't have the coin. I'm sure people are already on their way.

Seems to me it's not even the investors going after him, it's everyone else.
Slow day I guess.
+1. They're just eager to assume the position of government and "protect" everyone from their own money it seems. Personally, I'd wait until after I lost the bet and Pirate didn't pay before saying much more. I'd be getting worried if I were you right now. The writing is on the wall. Read it.

+1. They're just eager to assume the position of government and "protect" everyone from their own money. -1. Nobody has gone after anyone. If Pirate or his family encounters someone looking to "negotiate" I am willing to bet it will be one of suckers he stole $5 mil from not someone looking to do any protection. Lol, seriously. Everyone knows who invests in bitcoin right? And it won't just be broken kneecaps either. Not that I condone it. But how else does this story play out in real life? He doesn't have the money, he admits that. Who knows how short he is? Why would you expect him to have the money in a month or a year? But there will be those people who will always believe in Pirate.

I almost feel bad for Pirate. There is so much pressure he must be facing right now. Unless he's already run with the money. In that case life must be great.
Lol, oh yeah, Pirate's the victim here.

Thanks to all of you that came and sorry I couldn't spend more time with everyone. I know a few of you were there and didn't get a chance to meet you. Here is everyone that showed up. We will do it again!!! Looks like the image has been removed. Also, Pirate was last seen about an hour ago on this plank board. ~Bruno~ Anyone know why the photo is now gone? It's probably due to him closing his dropbox from the stuff that popped up yesterday night. (Thailand Time) What stuff popped up last night? Someone posted a dox on a guy they think is Pirate, linked using that Dropbox account. It's taken down now by the OP himself. See: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=103380.0Here is the real dox https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=101958.msg1135106#msg1135106 There's more at the end of the thread.

[01:13] <@pirateat40> I'm doing everything in my power within the contracts of the "Real World" to get things moving as fast as possible. If, I end up losing the bets and spending everything I worked for to make things right I will. I will not be giving any additional times or dates until I know exactly when things will happen.
This is good news for the true believers. They will always be able to dream of getting their money back.
Oh, post the part about him admitting to not having all the coins. Nevermind. 02:17 <pirateat40> I know you guys want updates and communication, but I'm somewhat muted by the personal attacks and legalities of whats going on. There is a lot more to this story than just "Send me back my coins." If I had all the coins just sitting around I would've has this wrapped up a long time ago.Edit: I'm still not getting why "personal attacks" and the "madness" should be interfering with his business. And his ability to pay. If I owed people that much I would be scared to even start my car..... Lol, just read that. And yeah, me too.

Its going to get uglier. How can it get any worse than the current situation, which is that no one has gotten paid? A $5 million dollar scam is definitely newsworthy. It will be reported by the press. He admits to not having the coins now. How is he ever going to pay off the ever increasing interest at roughly 5.000 BTC a day? Not happening. My only question? Why are people still mining for him? He doesn't have the money to pay off his debt through his own admission.

Could you post these as text instead of image?
I honestly can't copy/paste the text from IRC. Feel free to take over.
