Posting endless threads about it won't get your money back.

And posting endless threads about your strategies wont stop us from making this public.  But thanks anyways mom.

And I have every right to be sick of their whining. Life is unfair, boo-hoo.

Man up and take your loss, never use them again, fashion a dartboard target and use it regularly. Perhaps move on with your life.

I love this response.  Hi, welcome to Bitcoin.  Thanks for your money.  NOW FUCK OFF!

Gee, I wonder why the general public is turned off by this.

I'd say that the meager handful of people who understand this system and actively participate in it so far are a long way from "the general public". As many others have said, the client isn't totally up to par for joe sixpack to get in on the benefits. It will eventually, but not just yet.

And yes, if you are unable to understand counterparty risk inherent in emerging markets, you're better off playing in another sandbox until this thing comes out of early beta.

Risk is one thing in an emerging market.  Theft is another animal altogether.

One can assume several things about this situation but there are 2 that stick out right now regarding MTGox closing account valid tickets proving they owe you money.

1.  They don't have enough money/BTC to make good on what is owed.  (Which is scary in it's own right.)
2.  They have no intention of paying back what they owe to those stuck in limbo.  (Theft.)

Yes, there are inherent risks involved.  (Losing value, out-right crash)  One of those isn't a supposedly reputable company that everyone seems to be sticking up for and telling people to invest in for stealing your money.  And then telling those that have their money stuck in 10 closed support tickets that they aren't updating or helping dozens of people to, "fuck off", and yes it's basically what you are saying.

Sorry, I don't know very many people that will allow someone to fuck with their money.

Those that do are either complicit with MTGox or completely fucking stupidly blind.

Wow.  So that's your response.  You mock me and then go into your weird sexual fetishes.  Wow.  Just Wow.

I am not gay and I am not mocking you.

In the future, you may have something to hide that's perfectly legit. Maybe you are Jewish and some Nazi are looking for you.

Are you sure you want to give up that right for a simple revenge?

Quote
And no, I'm not giving this up.  Sorry.

Do you care about anybody else, at all? Are you blinded by your own suffering that you forget to consider how others might be impacted?

Listen, I'm not an early adopter.  I don't have thousands of coins I'm sitting on.  I invested a week to soon obviously.

I also don't adhere to the same politics as you are trying to convey.  I do believe some government intervention is needed.  And in the case of theft.  Yes, yes, I do.

So if you are wanting this currency to become well adopted.  Sooner or later there will have to be some form of regulation.  Oh, that dirty word.  It's just the way it is or it's NEVER going to succeed.  You can't see that?  Otherwise there isn't any recourse for anything.

If you and everyone want to treat this a currency there are laws that also come along to protect people in cases such as this.

It's not about revenge.  It's about getting my money back.  Jesus.  And my information is already all over the Internet thanks to that hack.  You don't think the Feds have had a look see at the list of MTGox users?  Especially since they've already shown interest in it.  You are fooling yourself if you think not.  I'm fairly easy to find after my email and username.  So there really isn't much else to give up.  That's already been done.

I want my money back.  It's that simple.  And no, I'm not giving this up.
685  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do I proceed when MtGox refuses to communicate? on: July 03, 2011, 10:36:58 PM
I'm not afraid of the Government.  I have nothing to hide.  Maybe you do.  I don't really care.

Are you gay? Do you have a weird sexual fetish? Do you read comics with naked men and women doing icky things.

There are thousand of things that are perfectly legit to hide simply because they are considered icky by other human beings. Simply because some would love a good gay-bashing. Simply because your ex-husband is out to get you. Simply because you don't want others to see you masturbating to 4chan posts.

Wow.  So that's your response.  You mock me and then go into your weird sexual fetishes.  Wow.  Just Wow.

And no, I'm not giving this up.  Sorry.

686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do I proceed when MtGox refuses to communicate? on: July 03, 2011, 10:25:01 PM
This is dozens of people from the looks of it.  Now stop only thinking of yourself and sticking up for thieves.  It's not swaying anyone.  We've had enough of their shit.

Who say I am defending the thieves? Your actions our impact me.

You want to fuck somebody who fuck you because he deserves it. Maybe he does deserve it, but you or your loved ones are not dead. Your intelligence is still there. Your life is still the same except some loss of money.

Your action will cause collateral damage. You bring in the authorities, they will regulate everything to shit and we get no say in how we run the bitcoin economy.

They have guns, taxing power, and the ability to coerce us at will. These are the same authorities who will pursue somebody for consuming marijuana and LSD despite not being a danger to people at all. These are the same authorities who fucked up 9/11 and play security theaters in airport. They are incompetent and dangerous.

If you sue somebody in this community, I don't want to do any fucking business with you. (That reminds me not to do business with mtgox or tradehill as they will give information to authorities to pursue silk road users)

I don't care.  If you are that concerned about it.  How about a post on your publication asking MTGox what the deal is with not answering and closing valid support claims?

I'm not afraid of the Government.  I have nothing to hide.  Maybe you do.  I don't really care.  I'm not getting robbed just so you can feel "safe".  MTGox is doing this.  Not me.  How about putting a little pressure on them?  You know, instead of blaming the victims?
687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do I proceed when MtGox refuses to communicate? on: July 03, 2011, 10:06:20 PM

And MTGox is not the biggest loser.  They are still the largest exchange.

They are certainly the biggest loser if you defined by how much business they lost and not who is the biggest guy out there.

Quote
Closing valid support tickets with the proper information with proof they have my money with no intention of contacting me is THEFT as far as I'm concerned.

I have a right to report if if I'd like.  I'm not going to just sit back and allow them to fuck me.  I don't know who would.  Except for maybe you.

There exists individuals who fear authorities more than thieves. Thieves are scroundels. Authorities that can hide behind legitimacy to cloak criminal acts are scarier.

Bitcoin Weekly would not sue people for plagiarizing and taken credit for our works, ever. We despise copyright laws more than we despise individual scroundels.

I don't give a shit what you would do.  This is not you.

This is dozens of people from the looks of it.  Now stop only thinking of yourself and sticking up for thieves.  It's not swaying anyone.  We've had enough of their shit.
688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do I proceed when MtGox refuses to communicate? on: July 03, 2011, 09:31:20 PM
I don't think asking regulators to fix mess bodes well for bitcoiners. It may be the quick-fix solution but it will be damaging in the long term.

There's such a thing as regulatory capture and Japan is famous for it. I believe they have a term called Amakudari, which means "descent from heaven" for politicians that get crushy job in the companies that they used to regulate. That means corruptions wholesale.

It is easy to go after people after being very furious, but it is hard to be cautious about effects of your actions that could have a vast effects on others(and you) in the future.

In my case, if I have lot of money in MtGox, I would try to get it for a long time. Then forget it and take my loss. If I do get my money, I might as well leave MtGox and moves on to other exchanges and decentralize my accounts to the various exchanges and write a long letter to people as to why they should switch their asses to other exchanges. This will hopefully get their asses to other exchanges.

Don't forget that the biggest loser in the exchange crisis is MtGox and the biggest winners are the other exchanges. Inflicting loss for extremely poor service will discipline MtGox just as the security issue discipline MtGox.(With the extreme password security for example)

Lol.  How hypocritical is this?

It's a crime.  I repeat a crime to steal money or assets, virtual or not.

"Think of the others." lol.  What a bunch of fucking bullshit.  You are only thinking of yourself with your own post.

And MTGox is not the biggest loser.  They are still the largest exchange.

What IRC channel does magicaltux hang out in?

Edit: Can't find him in general bitcoin discussion channel or the MtGox tracker channel

You need to wait there all day for him to come on then.
690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do I proceed when MtGox refuses to communicate? on: July 03, 2011, 07:45:27 PM
The OP (who is the one this is directed towards btw) asked How do I proceed when MtGox refuses to communicate? and this is the quickest/best solution considering it is regarding closing tickets through mt. gox without reply

He was indeed snide, but the real question, honestly, is why do people keep defending Mt.Gox for acting dishonestly? And, yeah, it's dishonest to close a legitimate ticket without any response or action whatsoever. They have an obligation to provide support for their service. If they're not going to actually answer tickets they should remove the ticket system from their site: at least then potential customers know they're out in the cold if they have issues...

Bingo.

Oh, you forgot blame the victim.  That's one that's used here a lot as well.
691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do I proceed when MtGox refuses to communicate? on: July 03, 2011, 07:38:51 PM
IRC magicaltux (not sure if thasts the correct spelling)

I shouldn't have to hunt down someone all over the Internet to find out WTF is going on.  I'm addressing my problem through their website, you know where the business is.

Dont redirect your anger to me with a snide response.

LOL.  Whoosh.

I shouldn't have to hunt down someone all over the Internet to find out WTF is going on.  I'm addressing my problem through their website, you know where the business is.  It's not getting me anywhere.  And they aren't conducting it in a professional manner at all.  You know, getting in touch with your customers instead of your customers having to hunt you down all over the Internet.

I could only imagine how pissed the general public would be if they had to IRC every single company they are having issues with.  It's time to wake up MTGox.  You are dealing in millions of dollars of other people's money.  It's time you hired a staff that is capable of dealing with issues and support.

Lol, open another support ticket from the 10 I've opened and they've closed every fucking time?  Sorry not good enough.
693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do I proceed when MtGox refuses to communicate? on: July 03, 2011, 06:29:48 PM
I'm getting the same thing from them.  And I'm getting sick of their shit.

They close my tickets without even letting me know anything.  I'm still missing BTC that I deposited the day of the crash.  They have my BTC as I can see the transaction in blockexplorer.  I've given them all the information they need to know but they still aren't addressing my problem.  I opened a ticket as soon as I was allowed to log in over a week ago and saw that they weren't there.  They instead just close my tickets.  WTF?

This is a responsible company?  This is how you treat customers?  This is complete bullshit.

Well that's my bad then.  I was clicking it and it went to my account page not that page.  All apologies.

It was mine.

Cheers.

Cat have your tongue, Jered?

I have yet to see a legitimate discussion why you don't have an affiliate CTR page.  Care to explain?  I'm listening.  Your answers via your website address nothing nor does emailing your company.  It's either I get an answer or I go with Adsense on my sites.  The choice is yours.

It's a pretty simple answer actually.

You can see the amount of users that you've referred here:

https://www.tradehill.com/User/Profile/

You can see the amount you've earned through commissions on your dashboard.

We do our best to watch this forum but there are a lot of threads.
I'll check back to see if this answered your question.

Regards,
Jered

No, that's not what I'm asking for.  I want to know how many people have clicked my links and how many people HAVE or HAVE NOT signed up.

You only tell me if I've earned commission and that isn't good enough.

Guess I'll go with Adsense.

DONT FEED THE TROLLS.

I agree, but it's "Troll" as in singular.  And it's so much more fun to troll a troll than not to feed one.

Holy shit, the OP has convinced me with their craziness.

KILL EVERYTHING WITH FIRE! NOW!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously OP, you need to get out tonight.  Get laid.  Drink a few beers.  Take a couple rips off a bong.  Just CHILL THE FUCK OUT.  You aren't convincing anyone.
698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Serious situation with TradeHill imminent on: July 03, 2011, 01:14:49 AM
If TradeHill's affiliate in Australia isn't worried about a pending investigation, why haven't we heard from the affiliate. In the announcement thread, we learned that Jaden Rubenstein would be handling Australia. Surely, if he has all his ducks in a row, he'll come out and let us know that our AUD is safe.

Oh, I get it now.  You are Australian and want to make sure your AUD are safe.  You are going about this all wrong dude.  This isn't an example and this doesn't help your case.  Seriously, you sound like a deranged monkey.
699  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TradeHill - AUD market is now live. on: July 03, 2011, 01:03:31 AM
TradeHill is proud to announce that we will now be trading AUD on our exchange.

We've received a huge demand for AUD and we had been holding back while we finalized some details.

TradeHill will be represented by Jaden Rubinstein in Australia.

This will most likely provide a huge opportunity for arbitrage immediately as Australia looks to purchase Bitcoins.

Thanks for all the great support.

I would really advise against using Individuals as partners in foreign countries, the deposit information on your website for AUD also seems strange since no account name is used, just a Commonwealth Bank account type "Complete Access".

Also is this your partners ABN registration details:

http://www.abr.business.gov.au/SearchByAbn.aspx?abn=79392772409

Really if Tradehill is going to take off you need to have a more professional setup then having local individuals accept money on your behalf.

We've known him for years and he's been working with us for quite a while.
I agree simply letting local individuals open an account hold funds would be a horrible idea.
Also if we were doing that we would already have an account in 50+ countries. It's too risky, not professional and not our plan.
-Jered

Since you are here,

How about a transparent affiliate page?  I would like to know how many people are clicking on my links and the % of conversions.  ALL LEGITIMATE AFFILIATES HAVE THIS.  Why can't you?
700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Serious situation with TradeHill imminent on: July 03, 2011, 12:48:06 AM
I love prophets with distinct and up-close dates, they are so easily proven wrong.

It isn't about proving them wrong.  They have the burden to prove themselves right.  And without sources they can say anything.

I heard Mark from MTgox murdered someone and that Japanese authorities are moving in.  Want to prove me wrong?  That isn't how accusations work.  You have the burden to prove your accusation correct.  Not the other way around.
