421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers steal $32 Million Worth of Ethereum From 3 Multisig Wallets on: July 20, 2017, 01:47:29 AM
Hopefully this incident won't effect the Ethereum's price. Ethereum's moved up really good yesterday and I can see the price has dropped a little but now looks like getting back very well. Hope won't drop more and keep increase.
It seems that the price has been affected, unfortunately. However, it will not affect its long term potential.

Hopefully MyEtherWallet is immune to these types of hack.
423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hottest ICOs in July? on: July 19, 2017, 09:41:33 PM
Agree, I think agrello is a solid project. The combination of blockchain and AI is intriguing.

These projects are just filled with gobbley-gook. I sound like a troll... I'll just say I hope too many people don't get taken advantage of from well crafted whitepapers that aren't based in reality. I just finished an AI graduate class, current AI technology is currently limited to very specific tasks like playing go, finding shortest distances, identifying road obstructions, image recognition etc... I can't follow how this fits into the blockchain technology at all.

After further inspection, Agrello is totally made up. :/

You are right. AI (ML) is still pretty limited nowadays, the goals of the Agrello team are kind of too ambitious. In a purely speculative viewpoint, it might be a good short-term trading candidate, due to the hype of the combination of blockchain and AI.
424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: POLL: Factors for Investing in an ICO on: July 19, 2017, 09:32:45 PM
I only care about its idea, aka, its potential real-world applications.

But execution > idea.  Isn't traction more important?

Right, execution is definitely important. The problem is when you are investing ICOs, it is hard to evaluate the execution of the team since the project is still in the ICO stage.

427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are "Ultra Rare" altcoins more valuable than the rest? on: July 19, 2017, 03:05:13 AM
I don't think so. I think the altcoin with real-life applications are more valuable than the pure-hype copy coins.
428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how many coins do you have in your portfolio ? on: July 19, 2017, 03:02:07 AM
My portfolio is developed to obtain high return (with high risk) on the time-scale of 1 year. It includes Etheroll, Firstblood, Mobilego, IOTA and Nimiq.
429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Critique my altcoin portfolio plan on: July 19, 2017, 02:56:06 AM
The growth potential of this portfolio is low, since you are putting all these safer coins into your pocket. You may want to put some coins with higher potential (higher risk) into your portfolio. The examples are FirstBlood, MobileGo, Etheroll, Lunyr, Nimiq, etc.

430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS is another centralized clusterfuck. on: July 19, 2017, 02:46:31 AM
"Dan's design does not charge transaction fees directly, but they are charged collectively"
So the EOS has no fees because of the %5 inflation constantly dilutes one's share in the computational power of the network?
431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ♬ Opus - Beta-Ready Decentralized Music Sharing; Running on IPFS and ETH ♬ on: July 18, 2017, 04:34:54 PM
Recently, ICOs of InsureX and Coindash have been hacked, due to the lack of security in their ICO websites. Devs of Opus should definitely invest in improving the security of the ICO website to prevent the potential loss induced by hacking.

It is nice to see Devs adopted the multiple tiers of crowdsale, lowering the pressure on the Ethereum network.

440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Altcoins really have a future? on: July 11, 2017, 01:50:12 PM
Ethereum used to be one of the altcoins. That is, some of them will stand out and others will be dead just like the penny stocks market.
