Hello,
i am new in the atcoin world. I am buying some altcoins to start my portfolio.
I have understood that i have to diversify. But how many coins do i need ? Currently i own 5 differents altcoins (ANS, STRAT, XVG, XRP, ARK)
Do you think it's enough ? Now, do you think it's better for me to buy some more of the coin i already own or to buy new coins ? I am thinking of maid, gamecredits, sia...
How many coins do you have in your portfolio ?

I have only bitcoin and two cryptos. Both are successful. Bought eth for 16 dollars (but got 60% stolen) and ktccktkcyckt for 20, when there was a drop of price. I wanted to buy doge recently but found out only this crazy website where it was worth 0.1$ whereas its real price was 0.01 at that time

I own six altcoins. All together my altcoins make up around 30% of my crypto portfolio.
I have litecoin, ethereum, monero, sia, and zencash.

I recently bought Ripple XRP at $0.15, waiting for it to recover back to $0.30+ sell for BTC and get something else. I entered with a very small investment.

I have some of the good coins in my portfolio but I mostly keep it a secret. My main ones are ETH and BTC. I hold all my coins because the coins I hold are appreciating in value every year. I like my coins.

At the moment I only hold 5 different coins, but the only significant holdings come from my bitcoin, all the other coins are coins that I bought a small quantity but nothing really important. |

74.747254 XEM
135 XRP
Sold an ETH @ $230 earlier, I bought for 210 so covered most of my fees.

I own ethereum, Monero, Dash and Stratis at the moment but only in small amounts. I plan on buying other altcoins after properly analyzing the technical aspects of the coin and the shift in the price levels. I suggest you to do the same. |

I only have monero and eth, no more coins. I decide to sell all my coin and replace with only eth and monero after I got loss on trade. Too many coins with different pattern make me stress. Today I only focus with those coins and make me happy because sometimes I get profit. I suggest no more coins to buy before 1 August, read the news and you'll know what happen. Good luck. |

Well whether you think 5 is enough for you depends on what exactly you are going for. If you want to invest heavily in a few coins then that should be just fine. If you want a moderate amount of coins personally I would suggest anywhere from 8-15 coins. And if you want a portfolio like an ETF then anywhere from 20+ coins should probably do the trick. All depends on what you want, and your risk tolerance. I personally have 8-10 coins and this is enough for now. I am diversified enough that one coin doesnt make or break me but not so much that I must rely solely on the industry to go up but rather on my picks to do well. You must be kidding, cause of it's just impossible. Well, I have a little bit of LTC (still hoping for it's progress); 0.2 BTC, which I actually planned to cash out, but I took a position of waiting currently to Bitcoin grow back at least on 2800$ point and I haven't problem with finances currently , so, I kinda don't need this money right now; 5 LSK and my newbie DGB, which I bought the last week. |
