... everything will start from the attitude and mindset of the gambler himself, if gambler can have the right attitude and good mindset towards gambling activities then clearly they will become responsible gambler.
Effect of applying self-introspection will only really be felt by those who from the start discovered that gambling was filled with mistakes and problems.
But everything will be important and useful if can apply it correctly.
Attitude and mindset are crucial aspects of every action in life, including gambling. Indeed, the foundation of responsible gambling lies in the attitude and mindset of the individual engaging in it. A positive and responsible attitude towards gambling can significantly influence the behavior and decision-making within the activity.

The right attitude and mindset of the gamblers can transition into responsible gamblers. This entails understanding the risks involved, setting limits, and approaching gambling as a form of entertainment rather than a means of financial gain. Gamblers need also self-introspection to recognize that their gambling habits have led to mistakes and problems. Through introspection, gamblers can identify patterns of behavior, triggers, and underlying issues that contribute to problematic gambling. Applying the insights gained from self-introspection effectively might involve setting stricter limits or even refraining from gambling altogether if necessary.

The standard system of a casino has no external interference from outside source like Op claims. Casino machines have been designated to work alongside the house edge, as you mentioned. The arrival of a good result can't be predicted, but things may occur differently, and the winner will accept that his friend influenced the result. However, it'll sound weird to other listeners, including the appreciated person. Those thoughts erupt in form of joy, and happiness tagged to similar reaction we had on the arrival of a friend.

But the gambler fails to forget the days he lost money, and other times when he won without the presence of his friend. People believe different things and don't care what others will say regarding their belief. Yet, looking at gambling in a more sincere perspective, nothing works adequately, like it may have been painted by other gamblers. Hence, discussing this as a proven fact, the process needs to be tried repeatedly, again and again, you'd notice the whole belief will end up as false.
There would surely be perspective on the standard system of a casino and the beliefs gamblers may hold regarding external influences on outcomes. Casino machines are designed to work in favor of the house edge, as commonly understood. When a gambler experiences a positive outcome, they may attribute it to the presence or influence of a friend. This attribution can bring about feelings of joy and happiness, similar to the excitement of a friend's arrival.

Despite the joy of winning, gamblers often remember both the times they lost money and the times they won without their friend's presence. This suggests a complex interplay between beliefs, experiences, and outcomes in gambling. People hold diverse beliefs about gambling outcomes, because there is subjective nature of gambling experiences and interpretations. Experiences, and skepticism surrounding gambling outcomes emphasize the importance of critical thinking and empirical evidence in evaluating the validity of such beliefs.
423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you won a bet with your last cash? on: March 10, 2024, 04:59:14 PM

A gambler can lose their lasts cash but if he can accept the results he gets in gambling, he will not have too worry about his lasts cash. He will considers that is the lasts shot before he quit gambling and will not think much about that. If many gamblers can do that and don't thinks about the outcomes, they will not have to feel too sad because they already knows the risks. Besides that, it's just a gambling which have two options, win or lose and he will place his lasts money. But if he can wins with his last cash, that will be a surprised for him because he can winning before he go home. But a gambler must thinks about how he go to home if his last cash is the lasts money that he have and lose his money. If that is the cases, he must not place a bet because he can't go home without money. But if he go to casino with his friends, he will not have to worry.
That is the right mindset of a gambler facing the possibility of losing their last bit of cash. Gamblers have to accept any outcome of gambling, because if a gambler can accept losing their last cash, they won't worry about it too much. This is a proper last shot mentality when the idea that if a gambler sees their last bit of cash as their final attempt before quitting, they might not dwell on the potential loss.

This is an awareness of risks involved and therefore may not feel as sad about potential losses. Having a supportive network of friends or companions at the casino can provide reassurance and camaraderie, contributing to a more relaxed and enjoyable gambling experience. This touches on various aspects of the gambler's mindset, including acceptance, risk awareness, practical considerations, and social support. Gambling with this mindset makes everything feels easy going.
424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: March 10, 2024, 12:01:42 AM
Diego Simeone must find a solution on how to get out of a series of bad results, so that his squad can win the match against Inter Milan in the second leg of the last 16 of the Champions League. Atletico Madrid only managed to achieve 1 win, 1 draw and 3 defeats, in the last 5 matches in three different competitions. On paper, even though they are playing at home, Atletico Madrid chances of beating Inter Milan are very low, and Antoine Griezmann injury is a big loss for Diego Simeone. Having an aggregate advantage means Inter Milan plays without pressure, while Atletico Madrid has to make extra effort to turn things around.
Diego Simeone will be facing a challenging task in turning around Atletico Madrid's fate, especially with the absence of key players like Antoine Griezmann only adds to the pressure on Simeone and his squad. Simeone needs to adjust formations, player roles, and defensive strategies to counter Inter Milan's strengths and exploit any vulnerabilities. Instilling confidence and resilience in his players is crucial. He must motivate his squad to believe in their abilities and approach the match with a positive mindset, despite recent setbacks.

This game would need the mental toughness and maintaining focus throughout the game. With Griezmann sidelined due to injury, Simeone must optimize his squad selection and utilize players who can step up to fill the void. Given Atletico Madrid's deficit and the need to overturn the 1-0 aggregate scoreline, Simeone must ensure that his team remains organized at the back to prevent Inter Milan from extending their lead while being clinical in front of goal when chances arise. He must be prepared to make timely and strategic substitutions to inject fresh energy into the team or adapt to changing circumstances during the match. Atletico would may need to introduce impact players who can make a difference in key moments.

OP you just nailed it, people criticise all the time forgetting that this can happen to anybody, though we might not know what resulted to one being an excessive gambler which is addicted gambler, there are better ways of telling an addicted person something than trying to bully him or her, op I so much love this thread people see addicted gamblers as useless people but in real sense this are humans like us that may have turn to be addicted because of one reason or the other, the best way to even make them reduce this is by tell them the damage and the danger ahead if they continue in such act, at this point they need us and we must render this help to them if we really want them to change.
There would need empathetic, compassion and support when addressing addiction, including gambling addiction. Criticizing people struggling with addiction without understanding the underlying factors contributing to their condition is counterproductive and can exacerbate feelings of shame and isolation. Addiction can affect people from all walks of life, regardless of their background or circumstances. It's a complex issue that that stems from a combination of genetic, environmental, and psychological factors.

Approaching addicted people with empathy, understanding, and non-judgmental support is a proper way in fostering positive change. People struggling with addiction need to gain insight into the impact of their actions and feel empowered to seek help. Encouraging addicted individuals to seek professional help from trained therapists, counselors, or support groups can provide them with the necessary tools and guidance to overcome their addiction.
426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How does the game of luck in gambling really works? on: March 09, 2024, 11:35:52 PM
The game of luck that is involved in gambling, is it the one of individual grace which attracts goodwills? Or it is by the days the gamble decides to remember you and then gives you the chance (s) winning?
I believe luck is something that no one can explain as it's just a normal phenomenon that occurs. gambling for me is purely luck base although some of the games requires some research and skills plus the luck base factor to determine the winnings of the game. Luck is purely unexplainable but actually something people they can predict how their luck will come them. Because sometimes even the most inexperienced gambler can win funds that even the most experience gambler haven't won before and all this is tied down to luck.
Luck is called for achieved things those are unexplainable. Some aspects of gambling may involve skill and strategy, the element of luck remains an unpredictable force that can influence outcomes in profound way. It's the unexpected twist of fate that can turn the tables in an instant, regardless of the level of experience or expertise. This unpredictability is part of what makes gambling so thrilling and enticing for many individuals.

The notion of luck transcends rational explanation, because it operates outside the realm of logic and reason. Even the most seasoned gamblers acknowledge that there are moments when luck defies all expectations, delivering unexpected windfalls to those who least expect it. Luck can make inexperienced gamblers to achieve victories that surpass experienced gamblers. This element of unpredictability adds an element of excitement and intrigue to gambling, because it creates opportunities for anyone to experience moments of triumph and success.
427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A call to self-examining our gambling habit. on: March 09, 2024, 11:24:10 PM
I think it's hard to self examine because a gambler is always chasing losses. His thought process is just to recover the money lost.
So the chances of him self examining his gambling addiction becomes very low since he would fine every chance to play more and recover the losses.
There should be some kind of strategy so that addicted people has to forcefully self-examine their gambling habits.
Only then, we can potentially see some positive results out of it.
And that is why a lot of them are failing because they want to recover what they have lost and it is not possible at all, because in the process of recovery, you might just lose more than you wanted to gain and gambling gives too much imagination on money and even before the money come you have already calculated how you want to spend the money. and that is why if the money don't come according to plan then they will want to play more games. do serious gamblers care about self-examination they just to win and even when people want to advise them they won't listen? all their focus at that particular time will be on how to win. and in the process of recovering, he will continue to lose money until he decides to make sense because such a decision is a reckless one. what leads to addiction is nothing more than greed they want more money.
The relentless pursuit of recovering losses is a critical aspect of gambling addiction. This is often driven by greed and fueled by unrealistic expectations. It's true that the allure of winning big can overshadow rational decision-making that leads people to chase losses and escalate their gambling behavior in the hope of recouping what they've lost. The mindset of a serious gambler is often fixated on winning, with little regard for the consequences of their actions.

They may dismiss warnings given by their relatives and continue to prioritize their desire for financial gain above all else. The hope to winning can blind them to the reality of their situation and prevent them from engaging in meaningful self-examination. Gambling fosters a mentality of instant gratification, where people become consumed by fantasies of wealth and luxury even before the money materializes. This distorted perception of money can lead to impulsive decision-making and a disregard for responsible gambling practices. The cycle of chasing losses can quickly spiral out of control that leads to further financial hardship and emotional distress. Recognizing the destructive nature of this cycle requires a willingness to confront the underlying issues driving the addiction, such as greed and unrealistic expectations.
428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indirect victims of gambling addiction on: March 09, 2024, 11:01:40 PM
Whatever is the tree, and so is its fruit. So when parents are gambling, most likely children will also imitate what their parents are doing, and might be thinking that gambling is the best and the most effective way to gain profits. They will continue to absorb this mindset even when they get matured, and even when they have learned in school that severe gambling is not good at all, but deep in their hearts, they will still chose to gamble because even their parents have been gambling throughout the years.

This is a sad reality that children are the most affected individuals when it comes to gambling. Good thing if they can be guided by some good people around, and will correct their mindset about gambling. But if the environment they will grow are populated by gamblers, then it’s a sure thing that these children will definitely grow into addicted gamblers as well.
If gambling is a prevalent activity within the household, it's likely that children will perceive it as a normative behavior. The impact of this can be profound, because it shapes their beliefs and attitudes towards gambling from a young age. Despite receiving education about the risks associated with excessive gambling, the ingrained influence of parental behavior may override this knowledge that leads children to perceive gambling as a viable means of gaining profits.

This perpetuates a cycle of gambling behavior within families, wherein young generation is predisposed to engage in similar activities due to learned behaviors and societal norms. Breaking free from this cycle can be challenging, especially if children are surrounded by an environment where gambling is normalized and accepted. Addressing the root causes of gambling addiction requires community-wide efforts to promote responsible gambling practices and support mechanisms for those at risk.
429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making too many picks reduces chances of winning. on: March 09, 2024, 10:51:48 PM

You're absolutely correct,in my own  opinion I think making too many picks reduce chance of winning, reason is because probably if you are making selection from any of this prediction sites there are  alot of games that has  been listed in  the platform.in this case you will be confuse on the ones you're going to pick either, some person can even decide to play as many that has been listed in the site without knowing that most of the tips are not correct.but most people pick like two to three games from the tips with this two to three games, I'm very sure that they can get like 2 to 3odds from this three games then they will use like 10k to boost the odd some person also do rollover with 2odds,the reason why some people always lose in gamble is because of higher aim.they can decide to make like 30 selections so they can  get like 10 to 20million in return, and you know too well that this 30 selections cannot play serial.
It's easy to become overwhelmed by too many choices when confronted with a too many potential picks. This can lead to decision fatigue and result in hasty. There may be numerous picks available on prediction sites, but not all of them are equally reliable. In the rush to make multiple selections, it's possible to overlook careful analysis and end up choosing options based on incomplete or inaccurate information. Spreading the bets across a multitude of picks can make the focus beeing divided. This can result in a lack of thorough research and increases the likelihood of making suboptimal choices.

Making numerous picks with the hope of hitting a large payout can be tempting, but it also exposes the bettor to greater risk. Even if a few selections are successful, the overall outcome may still result in a net loss, particularly if the odds are boosted artificially. Setting high expectations can lead to disappointment and frustration when those expectations are not met. This can perpetuate a cycle of chasing losses and taking undue risks in pursuit of unattainable goals. Instead of focusing on making many picks with the intention of hitting a jackpot, it's better to prioritize quality over quantity.
430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If we lose in gambling, what do we need to do? on: March 09, 2024, 10:36:57 PM
~

From the topic, I don't think there is any other thing to do when you lose. the only thing is that you can try next time and if you continue to lose then I think is high time that person called it a quiet to gambling to save yourself serious loss in this bad economy. and gambling has just two things involved either you win or you lose nothing more than two options. and if you win you be happy and if you lose then you want to create more opportunities for yourself.  and a lot of people take addiction to be a normal thing and forget that if it is even about addiction it is better not to gamble at all. because you will waste so much money just because you want to win. and even if you plan as far gambling is concerned you will still lose but the important thing is how you manage your loss. and analysis also fail in gambling so just play your game and avoid becoming an addict at all costs.
It has a really bad implications of relying on gambling to address financial difficulties. Gambling may offer the possibility of either winning or losing, but the odds are typically stacked against the player. Even if you win occasionally, the overall outcome tends to favor the house, meaning that over time, you're likely to lose more than you win. gambling is not for people who have problems, it's an entertainment for people to spare their time.

Continuing to gamble in hopes of recouping losses can lead to a cycle of compulsive behavior and financial instability. Addiction to gambling can have serious consequences, both financially and personally, and it's not something to be taken lightly. Rather than viewing gambling as the option when faced with financial setbacks, it needs to explore more sustainable and responsible strategies for managing debt. The key lies in recognizing the risks associated with gambling and making informed decisions about how to address financial problems.
431  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dont chase your loss on: March 09, 2024, 10:22:46 PM

It is very important not to forget that casino games are not the best way to get rid of debts. I often hear this from gambler friends.
Firstly, the casino is always a risky business, and the chances of losing money there are much higher than winning. And if you are already in debt, then why increase your financial problems? It is better to find a normal job and gradually pay off debts honestly. It may take time, but at least you'll be sure that you're doing everything right.
In addition, playing at the casino, you can attract even more debts if you lose. So it's better to forget about the casino and start looking for a stable and honest source of income.
It's a bad idea to utilize casino for debt solution. Casinos are designed to make profits for their owners, which means the odds are stacked against the players. It has a very low probability of consistently winning in casino games that makes it a very risky endeavor, especially when attempting to pay off debts. If you're already in debt, gambling can worsen your financial situation, because the potential losses incurred from gambling can deepen your debts, leading to a vicious cycle of financial instability.

Depending on luck to resolve financial issues reflects a bad financial responsibility. Gambling to alleviate debts can lead to stress, anxiety, and other negative psychological consequences. The emotional toll of losing money can further exacerbate existing financial pressures. Pursuing stable employment and implementing a budgeting plan are more reliable strategies for debt repayment. While it may take time to pay off debts through conventional means, it ensures financial stability and avoids the pitfalls associated with gambling.
432  Economy / Economics / Re: Our decision making is responsible for the outcomes in our ways on: March 08, 2024, 11:55:06 PM
It is completely baseless to think that money has to be spent only when there is money. When we have money, we need to plan our future better because when we don't have money, it is difficult to implement those plans. In our life, everyone has their own plan, in some of their own plans, many people do not think those plans are right or many people do not like that plan, it is not a big thing at all, the main thing is that you are able to work according to the plan that you have planned. If your friend tells you that you don't spend money and you only save money, then I would say that you don't need to spend extra money because of that. You spend as much money as you need to spend and don't pay too much attention to what anyone says or does not say.
That is about the importance of financial planning and personal autonomy. Planning for the future ensures stability and security, even during lean times. People can safeguard their financial well-being by making informed decisions and budgeting effectively. Everyone has their own unique goals and aspirations, and it's normal for these plans to differ from one person to another. What matters most is that people are able to pursue their chosen path and work towards their objectives, regardless of external opinions or societal norms.

Maybe we don't need to let others dictate how one should manage their finances. Input from friends or peers can be valuable, but people should prioritize their own financial independence and make decisions based on their own needs and circumstances. Enjoying life and making purchases bring happiness, but it's important to exercise restraint and prioritize financial stability.
433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: March 08, 2024, 11:43:56 PM
It is quite risky to see Inter's narrow lead from the first leg against Atletico and even though they are favorites to win, playing the second leg at Atletico's home ground will be a problem. Usually Atletico will be more difficult to beat if they are at home and their fans will never stop providing support. I think Atletico could overturn the aggregate lead and if something like that happens, Inter must be prepared for the worst. Inter just needs to strengthen their defense and if they are able to score more goals, it will be difficult for Atletico to catch up on the aggregate goals.
It's indeed risky and challenging for Inter Milan to face in the second leg against Atletico Madrid away. But I believe Inzaghi is able to handle it, because I remember Inter was able to beat Liverpool at anfield two years ago eventhough they losed on aggregate. Atletico Madrid playing at their home ground often exhibits a formidable defensive resilience that is bolstered by the support of their passionate fans. This can create a hostile environment for visiting teams and make it difficult to secure a favorable result.

Inter's narrow lead from the first leg leaves them vulnerable. Atletico Madrid are capable of turning the tie around with a strong performance at home. Inter must remain vigilant and focused to avoid complacency. Strengthening the defense will be crucial for Inter to withstand Atletico's attacking threats and maintain their aggregate lead. Tightening up at the back and minimizing defensive errors will be paramount in ensuring a positive result. Prioritizing defense is important, but Inter should also look to capitalize on transitional attacks to create scoring opportunities to increase their aggregate lead. A proactive approach in attack can put Atletico under pressure and make it difficult for them to mount a comeback.
434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which type of gambling have more gambling addicts ? on: March 08, 2024, 11:18:40 PM
It's true as you said, addiction doesn't just depend on the type of game. whatever type of game and wherever it is. it is the gambler who is in control of himself. If a gambler can no longer control himself, of course addiction is absolute and cannot be avoided. and when that happens, there will be no time to think about the real world anymore. all that was in his brain was gambling to win.
I will not disagree with you at this point that games are not the cause or any facts of being more addicted on gambling. But I don't know if it's a fact or not, but most of the gambling addicted person I've seen are addicted to casino games. And those who played mostly sport betting those are not addicted they are as usual normal gamblers. I think the ratio of casino gamblers are have more gambling addicts maybe this cause of that the greedyness because Casino gambling has a chance of winning a larger amount.
There is indeed prevalence of gambling addiction among casino gamblers compared to sports bettors. But Casino games are often more accessible and heavily marketed compared to sports betting. Casinos, both physical and online, invest significant resources in advertising and promotions to attract players. This increased exposure can contribute to higher rates of addiction among casino gamblers simply because they are more likely to encounter opportunities to gamble.

Many casino games are designed with features that encourage repetitive play and can be highly addictive. These design elements can contribute to the development of addictive behaviors among casino gamblers. The atmosphere in casinos can create a social environment that fosters gambling behavior. People may feel more pressure to keep playing when surrounded by others who are doing the same that leads to excessive gambling and potential addiction. Casino games may offer the potential for larger winnings, but they also carry higher financial risks. The thrill of chasing big payouts can be enticing, but it can also lead to significant losses, which can exacerbate addictive tendencies. Certain types of gambling may be more inherently addictive due to their design or financial stakes, but people susceptibility to addiction can be influenced by factors such as mental health issues, and life circumstances.
435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you are not to gamble. on: March 08, 2024, 10:56:25 PM
It is hard to believe that gambling can be stress free. But a gambler who can easily take the rate on his own will not see any major change in the gambler even if his financial situation changes. Because they can accept defeat. No one can give an exact idea about winning and losing in gambling. For many, the tension a gambler feels between winning and losing is key. I think a gambler can't be normal until he gets the results of his bets. As much as we say that gambling relieves stress it is not really true. Maybe the gambler gets into a lot of trouble in managing his personal life and temporarily forgets all about it when he engages in gambling. But that doesn't mean he can be stress free in gambling.
Gambling and stress are the complexities involved in assessing the emotional impact of gambling activities. If Gamblers acknowledge that winning and losing are unpredictable, they are better equipped to handle both positive and negative outcomes without significant emotional upheaval. The tension experienced by gamblers as they navigate the uncertainty of winning and losing plays a significant role in their emotional experience. This tension can be both exhilarating and anxiety-inducing, because gamblers grapple with the potential outcomes of their bets.

Gamblers may find it difficult to relax or feel "normal" until they receive the results of their bets implies the emotional investment involved in gambling. The anticipation and anticipation of outcomes can create a state of heightened alertness and emotional tension until the resolution of the gamble. Engaging in gambling may provide a temporary distraction from personal troubles, and they may temporarily forget their problems while immersed in gambling activities, but the underlying stressors remain unresolved and may resurface once the gambling session ends.
436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel excited while gambling on: March 08, 2024, 10:40:16 PM
Gambling will create a different mode - happy to sad and sad to happy.
More often, we feel excitement at the start of the game, especially when we are supporting our favorite team, and it changes in the middle of the game until the end. Even though we've been ready to accept whatever results of the game, sometimes it was hard to do it. Maybe we are too emotional and probably because we already think about winning which makes it not easy to accept the results and sometimes we even think wrong and manipulate.

But we should know that dealing with our feelings/emotions in gambling is necessary as I hear some news that someone has died due to a heart attack because of his huge losses.
That is the emotional rollercoaster that often accompanies gambling. Gamblers need to manage emotions effectively in such situation. Gambling or watching the betted game indeed evokes a wide range of emotions, from excitement and anticipation to disappointment and frustration. These emotional shifts can occur rapidly, especially during high-stakes games or when people are emotionally invested in the outcome, such as when supporting a favorite team.

If the people become overly emotional, they may struggle to accept losses or make impulsive decisions in an attempt to recoup their losses, which can exacerbate their financial and emotional distress. People need to cultivate emotional resilience and develop coping strategies to navigate the ups and downs of gambling responsibly. The physical and psychological toll of excessive gambling can have severe consequences that implied the importance of prioritizing emotional well-being.
437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Support, do not criticize. on: March 08, 2024, 10:30:38 PM
When you do criticize someone then for sure it would really be making out such kind of feeling which they would really be down and whenever that getting depressed or sad would really be fueling out
their gambling  addiction even more because they do thought that anyone is already that having a bad view towards him, this is why it would really be that best that you should really know
on how to have that kind of good approach into someone who does have that kind of gambling problem because if you do find out yourself having that kind of aggressive approach then instead
on helping out someone into its addiction, you would really be rather seeing it to become worst. It would really be just that common sense on how you would really be needing to deal up
something such as this on which it would be impossible that you cant be able to determine on which one is needed up to do first than the other.
It's indeed important to have empathy and a constructive approach when dealing with individuals struggling with gambling addiction. Criticizing someone who is already grappling with gambling addiction can exacerbate their feelings of inadequacy and despair. Such criticism may fuel their addiction further, as they perceive themselves as being judged negatively by others, that leads to heightened emotional distress and potentially intensifying their reliance on gambling as a coping mechanism.

If You adopt an aggressive or confrontational approach, it can have detrimental effects, as it may push individuals deeper into their addiction rather than facilitating positive change. Instead of feeling supported and understood, they may feel alienated and defensive that makes it harder for them to seek help or make progress towards recovery. It needs compassion and support to create a safe space for people to open up about their struggles and seek assistance without fear of judgment or condemnation. Empathy, support, and constructive communication over criticism or aggression are the best approaches to facilitate positive outcomes and foster a conducive environment for recovery.

Being confident and be realistic, that's how you deal with gambling. You were just lucky that time, and that overwhelmed you a lot thinking you can do it again, thing like "easy money" usually came out on our mind after the first success, but if we analyze deeper, we will realize that there's no easy money in gamblnig, otherwise, this industry is not that huge as casino will easily close shop.
That is an on-point advice. Confidence can enhance enjoyment and focus during gameplay, but it needs to maintain a realistic understanding of the inherent risks and probabilities involved in gambling activities. Initial wins in gambling can sometimes lead to overconfidence and unrealistic expectations. It's common for people to attribute their early wins to skill or strategy rather than luck that leads them to believe that consistent success is achievable. Acknowledging the role of luck and understanding that gambling outcomes are largely unpredictable can help temper such unrealistic expectations.

Easy money in gambling is often a misconception perpetuated by sporadic wins and selective memory. In reality, the gambling industry thrives precisely because the odds are stacked in favor of the house, and consistent profits for players are rare. This is because the profitability of the industry relies on the collective losses of players. If people understand this fact, maybe they would maintain a balanced and rational approach to gambling.
439  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dont chase your loss on: March 08, 2024, 09:51:27 PM
It is best you gamble when necessary not because you want to chase your loss and win back you money, many are victim of this circumstances and for me is a bad practice and this might make you not to employe your gambling skills and roles because you inhast in your decision making. What is your opinion on this?
Gambling is never necessary, it's an activity for people who can afford to do it, so it cannot be a necessity. Those who gamble for gains or to earn money will only lose money both in the short and long term because gambling is not a way to earn money for anyone, and one should understand this when they are getting into gambling.

Chasing losses is a different thing altogether because when you gamble, you lose money but maybe at a slow pace, but when you start chasing your losses, that speed gets multiple folds more than before because you keep increasing your bet after every loss and that keeps increasing your chances of losing more money with each bet played.
Well said.. Gambling is not a fundamental need or requirement for people to live fulfilling lives. Unlike essential activities such as earning a livelihood or meeting basic needs, gambling is a recreational pursuit that individuals choose to engage in for entertainment or leisure purposes. Some people may experience occasional wins, but the odds are typically stacked against the player, and the house edge ensures that, over time, the vast majority of players will lose more money than they win.

When gamblers attempt to recover their losses by increasing their bets, they expose themselves to even greater potential losses. This behavior can create a harmful cycle of escalating financial losses and emotional distress that leads to significant negative consequences for the gamblers. The problem sometimes get more sophisticaed when about the inability to help these cases, especially in areas where there is not sufficient education about them. Gambling addicts suffer from social stigma and are rarely helped.

They are often family and close friends or in treatment centers specializing in this type of disease. I really wish I could obtain data on the cases of recovery from addiction that have been recorded.
These online discussions can raise awareness for players to gamble wisely and for those around them who suffer from excessive gambling addiction. It is a behavioral addiction and one of the most dangerous diseases.
That is the societal reality with the pervasive presence of gambling and the unfortunate reality of encountering gambling addicts. It's true that gambling addiction can have severe consequences that impacts people on multiple levels and often leaves them in distressing situations. The lack of awareness and understanding about gambling addiction can contribute to social stigma that makes it difficult for those affected to seek and receive the help they need. But this happens because gamblers are also commonly not socialized people.

People should acknowledge the importance of providing support and resources for gambling addicts, whether through family and friends or specialized treatment centers. There should be an awareness about gambling addiction, education on its causes and effects, and accessibility for support services as the essential steps toward addressing this pervasive issue and providing hope for those struggling with addiction.
