421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does a wallet with multiple BTC addresses handle transactions ??? on: June 05, 2017, 01:36:25 PM
Ok but how do you know the Key that holds the Balance with Bitcoind for example ?
This should do it I believe [1]:

After that you run 'dumpprivkey [address]' and it would display the private key of the associated address. FYI do not give this key to anyone, otherwise they can spend your money.

[1] - https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Original_Bitcoin_client/API_calls_list

Ok thank you but I would like to know if there is a way to change my Bitcoin Private Key ?

you cant change private key, its paid of "public key => private key."

why do you want to change it ? have you shaed the private key with someone ?

427  Other / Off-topic / Re: is worth to buy bitcoins? on: May 07, 2017, 05:57:41 PM
yes, its worth, but totally depends on how long you want to hold,.

3k gets you like 2 btc, you need more cash/investment. imho btc will be huge in next 2-4 years., so you better get more BTC .

or you can always see what other crypto coins are doing good than before and invest in them.

litecoin and ether are good.

428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a safeguard in buying and selling in Poloniex on: May 07, 2017, 05:51:11 PM
i did few transactions there and they dont ask for confirmation , they just disaply the buying or selling price., if you mistakenly enter something wrong value, then ASAP go to open orders and cancel order from there. (if its there , if its not there, means its already been processed)

if you are buying at lower than current rate, then it takes more time for order to gets processed (depends on the supply).
same goes with
if you selling at higher price than current rate, then it takes more time for order to gets processed.(depends on the demand).

but if its other way around then, your order gets processed very quickly.

432  Other / Meta / Re: what is Activity count ? and how is it different from Posts count ? on: April 30, 2017, 07:10:30 PM
i am trying to learn
what is Activity ? and how is it different from Posts ?

are there any FAQs ?

thanks for your time.

You become a Jr Member before knowing what an activity count is ? Isn't that the first question you would ask when you're totally new to the forum ? I see a bought account which is fine but not knowing the forum's rules isn't.

i was under impression that activity = post count.,

but as i am trying to rent a sig, i am looking for people with more than 1k posts . so while checking profiles i came to know activity != posts.

i am very active member on another forum which is not using SMF, so i am not that familiar with SMF.

Thanks

436  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How many Megabytes does an Antminer consume monthly? on: April 29, 2017, 08:32:56 PM
according to this old thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=10860.0, the usage is very low around 2mb per hour, you can build a huge farm and still consume very low

bandwidth is never a problem with mining, initial investment, consumption/cooling and space are the real problem

thanks for this., i always wondered how much bandwidth does the ASIC uses, at my place internet goes down frequently.
i wonder what hapens when internet goes down, does the ASIC keeps mining or just goes haywire ?

440  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: itcoin Mining Difficulty Factor Overcomes 500,000,000,000 on: April 29, 2017, 07:43:28 PM
so antminer s9 is the only profitable miner and until we receive it , the difficulty will rise again making the investment dead. or very little profitable.
