Bull trap means a price increase dramatically but suddenly only a few hours before the price will return to the lowest price. However, seeing the rise in bitcoin prices after two days is different than usual. I'd love to use my Bitcoi. But then again, utility companies don't accept bitcoins, groceries haven't heard of bitcoins even my insurances don't give a damn about it. I mean yeah internet related transactions are good but I don't have any transactions over on the internet. But like any other fiat, you can always invest on them.
The problem becomes complicated, because volatile price changes and decentralized nature are part of the factor most countries are reluctant to accept bitcoin. If this part doesn't exist in bitcoin, certainly many countries will accept bitcoin as a payment system, returning to their original properties as currency. But now it is too late to change that, because until when bitcoin will remain as it is now. Even I like bitcoin like now, many functions other than as payment system. |

This is a parable, you can see what the OP says. Lets say crypto completely and utterly replaced fiat. because it is the tool we use for the current exchange, bitcoin is more suitable for the investment tool.

bitcoin can be a legitimate global payment instrument if all countries agree and legalize bitcoin. currently, transactions that use bitcoin can only be done by a group of people or sellers and buyers who agree to use crypto for payment instruments, so without involving the government in transacting. so the risks are held by their own.
To make a payment using bitcoin there is no significant risk if between seller and buyer have agreed on the payment system using bitcoin. I live in a country where bits of bitcoin are still used as payment systems, so there is not a company or a mini market or coffee shop that receives bitcoin as a payment system.
So, I just put bitcoin as a place of trading and place of investment only. I hope the future my country including all countries that have not used bitcoin as payment system will review so that it can accept bitcoin or cryptocurrency as a whole well.

In 2017 cryptocurrency became popular and much ogled by various investors in the business world. I guess in the same year ICO has gained the first position for investors to get a big profit. Who I know, by 2017 there are so many successful ICOs and get the first lot of capital to launch, and now many ICOs are listed on some major exchange cryptocurrencies like bittrex, binance, coinbase and more.
It only takes about 3 years ICO can be a promising place to gain profit. Howover, there are still many negative news coming against ICO, which is very vulnerable is a scam that many feared by most investors. But in the future, I hope an ICO will have a safer system than today, not impossible if it has a secure system, any new investor who is still in doubt now will get them interested to really spend money and start investing.

I've been in the crypto scene for many years now, first time post here over a dilemma I am facing.
So, I am fortunate enough to make 600k from buying and trading Bitcoin and other crypto assets, and I don't know what to do with the money. Personally I think this is the year I will become a millionaire, as I can only see the marketcap of all coins growing. But friends close to me think I am an idiot for not selling yet, and if it were to collapse to zero, I would never forgive myself. But they don't know the market like I do, and I do believe that it is only the beginning. They say I should sell 95% buy a house, a car and live a nice lifestyle. I am frugal, have always lived within my means and never spent any crypto money as of yet, but I am tempted to start spending some of it now. I am 26 years old, rent an apartment and drive a car worth less than most peoples pushbikes.
My portfolio currently looks like this....
43% Raiblocks
40% Oyster Pearl
5% Enigma
4%Dash
1.5% Bitcoin
and tiny holdings in Waves, Lisk, Stratis, Game.....
I think that both XRB and PRL can double easily this year.
This is not based on greed btw, I want to make enough money so I can buy my siblings houses and see them mortgage free.
What would you do if you were me? When do we call it a day and give up trading?

Don’t make decision out of greediness, if you believe that 600k is enough profit for you and can help you start up something even more better than you’re doing in Bitcoin, then you an can call it a quit and go for something else after withdrawing your profit. And by the way, I need to tell you that if you choose to continue with bitcoin, don’t forget that loss is likely to occur at anytime in this business, so be ready for it. Yes, I think bitcoin can crash to $1200 in 2018. There are manipulations, trying of regulations by the governments, fears of the market participants in this year. These factors negatively effect to the price. That's why if you have any asset now, just hold it, and next year you will get your profit.

I will post this Thread here and come back after December this year, and let's see what will happen, I am currently holding 10k BTW from Airdrop, bounty and bought some on dip, I will HODL it till December let's see what will happen if this will gain a profit or it will fail  this will be exciting. What happened there  and what is the show in the coming month of December? I think this is a very long term !!! because until now, I still save 50k BTW coins.
