i hate it how (and i speak from experience) that if you call a black person a N word then they get all defensive and its racist but if you call a white person a cracker then its cool and it's just a nickname.

It depends on the person, the last guy on the bike was just like "Meh" and kept on going LOL he was brilliant Cheesy When we have World War 3 on the horizon and are extremely close to an economic depression the last thing I'm going to give a shit about is race or racism, nuclear weapons and economics don't give a shit about what colour you are.

Does make me wonder if white people shouldn't make a rule that non-whites can never call a white person cracker and go around beating them up for saying it and see how they like it.

Why I find politically incorrect humor so satisfying?  Kiss

For me it points out how stupid it all is which is why I posted it, I'm disappointed though, people saw the humour, I was genuinely expecting a swathe of angry Bitcointalk users accusing me of being racist Tongue Seriously though this is why you should never flip out because of a word, it shows you have no self-control, by all means, beat the crap out of a guy who's picking a fight with someone over their colour but don't flip out if they just say it, that's just dumb.

Fuck I must have been tired when I read this

Quote
Bank clerk warned several times to keep her religious views to herself and to stop bringing religion up to customers

Yeah, that doesn't sit well, she clearly was being evangelical about it, that's a bit like if I sat at a bank and kept on recommending customers use Bitcoin, in fact it would probably worse because it would be helping their competition Cheesy
4224  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Have a "fired" day? on: July 09, 2014, 04:50:09 PM
I admit, I feel like openly cringing when someone says "god bless you" but to actually fire someone over saying "Have a blessed day" is a bit much, it's like Fox News getting wound up about people not saying Christmas, get the fuck over it, it's not the end of the world.

The moment we start banning people or dictating employment or arresting them based on something they say is the moment we are living in an irrational and paranoid dictatorship.
4225  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-07-04] EU Banks Must Shun Bitcoin Until Rules in Place, EBA Says on: July 09, 2014, 10:47:50 AM
It's the only thing they've got that has any credibility to it, so they're going to latch onto it like crazy, but frankly I don't see it as a huge problem myself when you compare the benefits.

Here's some really good information on how to buy silver etc. and spot all the dodgy futures contracts, the basics are, buy from a well known mint and make sure it's physical.

Oh that just pisses me off, really badly, I'd like to see people not linking daily mail though and other news articles instead because these guys are full of shit.

oops, linked you to the UK website, but you get the idea Tongue it's tracking my location >_< It's kind of like paypal but people here on Bitcointalk tend to prefer Western Union to it.

This is the sort of thing you'd expect to read in a fictional book such as 1984 but America has really become a real life police state,
The govt spies on it's people, strips away the constitution, up arms their police to deal with rebellions, shoots their own citizens...

It wasn't too long ago that I was a staunch conservative republican that would have called you a conspiracy nut. It real bugs me that i can't disagree and maintain any sense of intellectual honesty. The 2008 bailouts completely changed the way I think about government.

Well done, you've just defeated propaganda and become a person that can think for themselves, it's sad but there are still people out their who actually blindly think that way, I don't hold anything against anyone who likes democracy and government, but what I can't stand are loyalists who just obey no matter how stupid the command is.

The reason you can't disagree is obviously because it's true, it's like with mathematics, you can't disagree with a recorded historical fact, well unless you're a moron Tongue

Tell me, how long did it take you to discover the mistake? ...Please, be very honest, and don't write the answer, let's see how people react to this test  Grin

.5 seconds.

I'm a Grammar Nazi!

LOL!

Wink

The 5 was warped, I'm definitely more on the artistic side of the brain, too many people post this shit up and its always mathematics oh and the 3 and 8 are the same colour Tongue Was the 5 on purpose though? I noticed it's like the 6 but to me it looks wrong, 5 and 10 are the same colour and so are 4 and 9.

..... FUCK ME! LOL I was so busy focusing on the numbers that I forgot about the writing itself mitsake lol! Tongue just shows you how right brained I am, I only noticed the colours first, this is why I can't do maths and tests, I was completely distracted from the black text by the colours.

To be honest, I created this graphic about year and a half ago, and by accident searching my computer I came across to this image and wow it took me like 10-15 seconds decipher again where was the mistake Grin

What this is is a classic right/brain left brain test, if your getting really confused by the black text and can't distinguish it from the coloured numbers, it means your right brain is in conflict with your left brain and you're right brained, if you can only work on the black text and spot the grammar mistake it means your left brain is in conflict with the right and your left brained.

There are plenty more here guys and it will let you know what kind of skills you're geared towards and figure out the best way to learn stuff.
4231  Other / Meta / Re: ISPs Blocking Bitcointalk with "adult filter" in uk on: July 09, 2014, 07:02:55 AM
This actually disgusts me. I know this is just a default setting, but still, the fact that they enable the protection by default makes it seem like I'm back in high school or something. But interesting that this is blocked too.

The thing is though just like in school we'll all get round this bullshit in about 5 seconds, I'm blocked from Kick Ass Torrents and Pirate Bay, doesn't mean I can't go on their whenever I want Tongue

In my games design course they resorted to disabling the right click because we always got round their silly attempts to block us off from doing what we wanted, so one of the guys in our group went and hacked into the administrators account and the guy even came along to tell him off lol Cheesy when I think about it we were way smarter than any one of those guys teaching at the place.
4232  Other / Off-topic / Re: I want to contribute more to bitcoin, but I'm kind of an idiot... on: July 09, 2014, 06:54:30 AM
I've said it before but what you could do which few people have done so far because it takes time and patience is buy up stuff wholesale that no other Bitcoin store is selling and then sell it yourself for a profit, all it would take is a website and a place to store all of the boxes.

My cousin actually did something similar to this but not through Bitcoin and he's making quite a lot of money, you might even make even more money because there are still very few online Bitcoin stores around, especially if you supply people with things that they want, there are game stores for example that are easily racking up sales.

4234  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-07-02] Winklevoss Bitcoin ETF to Trade on NASDAQ Under 'COIN' Symbol on: July 09, 2014, 06:36:01 AM
I should point out to some people who are getting excited about this but, ETF's should purely be used for speculation and not actual investment, if you want to properly invest in Gold or Bitcoins make sure to just buy the actual thing yourself and either store the Bitcoins on an offline wallet or the precious metals at home.

You NEVER own the stuff traded on the commodities exchanges and ETFs etc.
4235  Other / Politics & Society / Re: “What are we going to do for the people who are here who are starving already?” on: July 09, 2014, 06:30:00 AM
You can't read beetcoin lol Tongue

Quote
She said the individual should "exist for his own sake, neither sacrificing himself to others nor sacrificing others to himself."

She's basically saying, live for yourself but don't sacrifice yourself and others in the process, in other words, that means don't be a greedy bastard but don't be a pushover either. If you give away everything you have then you won't be able to survive yourself but if you keep everything you own at the expense of other people then they'll all die.

People like you really do seem to conform to the "I hate the rich" stereotypes I see around in politics.
4236  Other / Off-topic / Re: The dumbest financial mistake you ever made on: July 09, 2014, 06:22:55 AM
I once accidentally placed a sell order not realising that it would automatically execute and lost 0.2BTC Sad then I also paid attention in school and when I think about it if only I had ignored school when I was 13 - 14 and did all the research I've been doing now I would be a hell of a lot smarter and I could have passed my GSCE's properly.

Yeah I've never understood the Intel vs AMD argument to me things look pretty close right now, I remember people saying AMD processors just weren't as good awhile back but that seems to be changing.
4239  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who Wants to go to Dubai with me? on: July 08, 2014, 02:53:30 PM
Thanks for the offer but I'll have to pass, can't smoke weed or drink beer there. sounds like a hellhole  Cheesy

Beer is allowed there.

Can't kiss in public though or meet up with girls, you'll get arrested.

If every race/culture/community trying to claim sovereign, we would have total chaos in the world right now.

....... Don't we already have total chaos in the world right now? Propaganda seems to have you pretty well fooled.
