4261  Other / Meta / Re: DT1 member lovesmayfamilis BAN on: October 18, 2019, 03:06:12 AM
Hi all! there were additional cases of plagiarism in account lovesmyfamilis, maybe even a few.. So, will the pardon remain in force or will lovesmyfamili's case be reviewed? Rus mod argues that the decision to forgive this user will remain unchanged, regardless of the number of detected and previously unknown cases of plagiarism. (it means all additional cases committed before the moment of pardon.)

Every case of plagiarism is unique and shall be decided by the moderators on a case-to-case basis. In OP's case, he was a valuable asset to the forum as he continuously looks for fake ICOs in the forum.
I am pretty sure that before he was given pardoned, the moderators have extensively reviewed his case before granting him such forgiveness.

if it turned out that pardoned not for the "mistake of youth" but a professional thief, he will still be forgiven? Well, ok..

in the cases discovered, it is evident that the borrowed quotations have been somewhat altered to disguise plagiarism. This is not like naive or inexperienced application of someone else's quotes without reference to the source.

In your comparison, even convicted criminals are given pardons given that it was rendered by the President. Again, I would not doubt the decision that the moderators have decided as they weighed all the merits before granting him the pardon.

4262  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beginner Trader on: October 18, 2019, 02:30:22 AM
I, too, am a novice trader and have been studying this activity for a long enough time not only to study theory, but also to replenish my experience in practice.  To date, I use an article called "Scalping", and practicing daily trading with the obligatory use of stop loss.  I believe that this strategy is the first step for any beginner.
We have started from the beginning of learning knowledge all about crypto trading for us to cope up with how trading works. Right practicing what we have learned guides all throughout our strategy in trading. Having this stopping loss is good it could minimize our losses. Also, as a beginner trader always study the market and just invest in what we can afford to risks or lose.

It is easy to say to study the market but one thing that most traders tend to disregard is being aware of the current events that may affect the market as a whole. Given that bitcoin can be affected by news regarding prohibitions or suspension of any crypto-related news, it is essential that investors should be knowledgeable about the news as a whole.

Trading can be very profitable given that you know the basics of it. Reading books, watching videos, or even by participating into events can definitely help/support you in your journey but what matters here is experience.
4263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling activities correlates with Bitcoin's price? on: October 17, 2019, 03:01:42 AM
This depends on the losses of the person if he/she wants to recover his/her investments.

Generally, if prices of BTCs are low people are more inclined to gamble due to having lower fees. In addition, people who incurred loss in the process would want to recover their investments through a method that may yield them high-returns with a higher-risk. Instinctively, they get desensitized and think about recovering everything that is why they proceed to gamble.

On the other hand, if prices of BTCs are high, people would want to invest their money in hope of incurring high-returns. Persons who gamble their resources would want to invest than to gamble their precious resources.
4264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 10 Years From Now on: October 17, 2019, 02:16:28 AM
No one could accurately predict what would happen to Bitcoin (or to cryptocurrencies, in general) 10 to 15 years from now. Who knows, it might be recognized alternative medium of exchange/payment or maybe it would be prohibited in majority of the countries. But one could get a grasp about its future once you look at its price on the market.

As long as people purchase bitcoin and the demand/supply keep on moving, the future of bitcoin may be shed in a positive light when it comes to investing. So better save-up some coins and prepare for the future.
4265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 10 Years From Now: Bitcoin Overtaking PayPal? on: October 15, 2019, 10:39:46 PM
Paypal and Bitcoin are two separate entities which are VERY distinct on their nature.

While Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency which has a value on the market, a limited supply, and an alternative means of paying, Paypal is a platform that deals with a website as an exchange. They are very distinct which cannot be compared to each other due to their difference in nature. Although the ends may be the same, the means are very different.

Assuming THAT bitcoin and paypal were to be categorized at equal footing (for the sake of the argument), bitcoin cannot replace paypal in the near future due to the latter being centralized and controlled by a company which renders it secured and trusted among users. On the other hand, bitcoin is a relatively new concept in which some countries prohibit the utilization of such.

So in the past few hours, you have reposted your ANN in the same thread FIVE times despite having an accusation in your ANN that your wallet has a virus. By the looks of everything, it is like you are admitting that this is indeed, a scam project.

Just quoting this for reference:

4267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poll for Gambling Domain Names! on: October 15, 2019, 04:01:19 PM
In my honest opinion, I'm going for DiceWheel.com due to its simplicity in name without being too fancy and sophisticated unlike the other options available. The names Casinoox (with an 'X' at the end), VegasPrize, xCashout, WagersWallet, and BetFlexi sound like their main purpose is different from gambling, which is contrary to spirit itself.

If someone were to create a gambling domain name, it must adhere to the spirit of gambling by including words that will give them an idea about online gambling and not some other information which can be construed as something different.
4268  Economy / Economics / Re: Can a Stock Market Crash affect Bitcoin? on: October 15, 2019, 07:57:21 AM
I was thinking that investors would think the cryptocurrency market as an alternative to traditional investment products.
Having said that, my point was that those two markets have a reverse impact.

If the stock market goes down, then investors would start searching for alternative (more profitable) investments and turn to Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.
The last days stock market crash seems that lead the market cap of the crypto market down.

Does the Stock Market has impact over the Bitcoin price?

It depends on the reason on why it crashed but most investors would shift to an alternative option. Consider yourself as an investor who just experienced after a loss in the stock market, what would be your next move? Will you consider investing into cryptocurrencies (who have high-returns for high-risk) or another alternative present in the market (i.e. gold, bonds, real estate, etc.)?

If stock market investors invest instead in cryptocurrency market, then the mass adaptation of bitcoin will increase little by little, it might affect the price of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies but not totally to the point where it can manipulate the cryptocurrency market.

In a way, the price of cryptocurrencies would be affected as a shift to an alternative investment (in this cases bitcoin) may be preferred- thus increasing the demand.
4269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I access my BTC and other wallets on Public Internet Cafe on: October 15, 2019, 05:26:59 AM
I know it is not secure to use public internet Cafe Computers for accessing the wallets and for transaction needs. At times I don't have any other option than just using it. I would like to know, is there any software available to record the input data entered while accessing the wallet. Recently one of my friend informed about such a way to know the private keys. Is there anyone here have any such experience.

You have to ask yourself if it is really worth to risk your bitcoins in accessing them in a public place. Be reminded that anything that you access in a public cafe or computer, not only your wallets are at risk but also your personal information and almost every digital information. You have to carry and weigh the risk before doing anything so you will not regret if anything happens.

Like what most people mentioned, 'keyloggers' are actually quite famous in public cafes. For example, you type your Facebook information and that information is stored in the PC until the person who put it accesses it.
4270  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [DISCUSSION] Full Movie that BITCOIN related as a concept on: October 14, 2019, 09:18:48 PM

It's actually a good thing na may ginagawa silang documentary about Bitcoin, especially na nasa Netflix siya since it explains and gives information about cryptocurrencies in general.

4271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to be profitable in sports betting? on: October 14, 2019, 08:50:24 PM
A lot of us here love sports and we are betting at the same time.
I am not successful in this kind of venture but I would love to know from people here on what they do in order to win.
They say that sports betting has no house edge, but why is it it's still hard to win here?

Just to get things straight, there can be no guaranteed way in order to be profitable when you are dealing with the nature of gambling. As from the very word itself, 'gambling' revolves around luck and the odds. Although there may be ways of reducing the risks associated, there can still be no accurate way of being consistently profitable when you are dealing with luck.

With that being said, sports betting may depend on what kind of sport you are dealing with but it is highly advised that you bet on the sport that you are familiar with the team and roster. You must also be updated with the news about their team so you could foresight which team would be the next powerhouse in the current season.
4272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can there be some Bitcoin Central Agency in future? on: October 14, 2019, 07:32:51 PM
People often tend to say that Bitcoin is a P2P currency based on the trust between two people. However it's obvious that these days scams are on rapid rise while governments are generally not providing any legal security to those who are involved in this. So do you think there can be some central Bitcoin Authority represented by various people who can become jury in such cases of dispute? I think this can also increase adoption as people can trust btc more. Also even countries would feel safer as such an authority can conyrol certain malpractices

I do not think you fully understand the technology which powers bitcoin- the blockchain technology where every transaction is reflected in a public ledger which unalterable and absolute. No person can ever tamper the information due to a number of people watching such ledger in the future.

Assuming that bitcoin were to be applied as our medium and there were to be some central agency that provides security, this totally defeats the purpose on why bitcoin was created - for decentralization. Eliminating the need for a third-party is the heart of the technology behind cryptocurrencies and that is why the government is against its implementation as a medium.
4273  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Honestly, do you guys think cryptocurrencies will be gone anytime soon? on: October 14, 2019, 12:44:38 PM
I haven't been trading my bitcoins and cryptos since this year begins, but I have noticed that the hype train is slowing down since then, compared to last year. I want some honest opinion about the future outlook of BTC or crypto per se. Should investors invest in it ?

No one really knows and can accurately predict about the existence of cryptocurrencies but the price on the market says something about its demand and supply. The more people that are willing to purchase bitcoin at a high price, the more it will become valuable in the market- thus increasing its price overtime. If people were to know that bitcoin would last, then everyone would deemed to be a millionaire.

If you are skeptical about investing in bitcoin, then you can always diversify your portfolio by considering other investment mechanisms available in the market and consider bitcoin as a long-term investment.
4274  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat currencies on: October 14, 2019, 11:54:04 AM
The strength of dollar stems from the its very history and nature, as US being the hegemonic country throughout the years. As they are considered the dominant country in all aspects of technology and economy, its market is able to increase the value of USD by exporting and importing products throughout the world.

I doubt that the current tenure of Trump is the reason behind the weakening of dollar but it may be considered as a factor.

The dollar has been dominant for nearly a hundred years due to the fact that the American economy has been strong and powerful for many years. But recently, the trend has changed to the side of the countries of Asia, their economies are developing rapidly and this fact puts the dollar at risk.

USA being the dominant country is always open for competition on its top spot. Like what you mentioned, Asian countries such as Japan, Singapore, etc. are starting to develop and increase the value of their currency proportional to their economy.
4275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the Faith of Casino business owners? on: October 14, 2019, 03:53:49 AM
If the propose Public Amendment of Gambling Law to BAN Casino come to pass what then will be faith of those who are benefiting from casino business related activities https://dailyasianage.com/news/199020/amendment-to-gambling-law-to-ban-casino

The law that you specifically mentioned falls on the country on where it was implemented, thus not binding in other countries.

What some fail to recognize is that casinos are generally legal and functional subject to the provisions of the law. To be specific, in the Philippines, there is a government-controlled casino where it provides revenue for the country and job opportunities for the public. Although some consider it contrary to the morals, what the law recognizes is the benefit it provides to the people- the merits outweigh the burdens.

4276  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Makes Bitcoin Valuable? on: October 13, 2019, 09:50:01 PM
Valueable? i think because the total supply of bitcoin only 21 M and almost hit 18 M right now (only 3 million left) Just wondering what happend when the total supply circulation hit 21 M. And high demand make it more valueable. Also bitcoin utility for the future will make the price get higher than now.

The supply/demand of bitcoin is only one factor of what considers it valuable. The reason on why the demand is high is due to the people who are willing to pay for it. Just like gold (other than its innate and rare material), people are willing to purchase gold at a higher price which makes it valuable (increases demand). On the other hand, bitcoin which exist solely in the internet, is considered as an investment that may either skyrocket or drop its price in a given amount of time.

It's value make it valuable. Today, most of the youth want he have more bitcoin because of its high value. Bitcoin is transparent and it is decentralized i.e. nobody have control over it. You can hide your transactions from others. It is virtual currency, you don't have to carry it physically. Its amount is limited. Nobody can increase or decrease their amount. But it's demand increases due to which it's value increases.

Those are the factors of what makes bitcoin valuable and the reason on why people purchase it. But the deciding factor is its high price on the market which makes it an excellent candidate for an investment. For example, the traditional investment options available today have returns that take a long time to realize.
4277  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I abandon red trust ? on: October 13, 2019, 08:52:57 PM
Guys ! I have been posted on bounty threads but one day I saw I was red trust form Bitcointalk forum , Who can explain for me how can i abandon red trust?
Because Many bounty campain don't like red trust account ! That is prevention me to making tokens on bounty .

Like what most people already mentioned, the only way to remove your red trust is by sending a PM to the person who tagged you. But if you deliberately and intently abused the rules of the forum, then I think it would be nearly impossible for it to be removed.

Upon checking the reason of your negative trust, it seems you have been creating alternate accounts to abuse bounties in the forum. If you really want them to be removed, then I highly suggest that you redeem yourself by being an asset and message the people who tagged you.

Are there any details about the WhitePaper of the project? Also, can you please post pictures of the current team behind the project? It would be highly advisable if you could put all the necessary information and details in your website in order to validate your project.

Thanks!
4279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What caused the emergence of cryptocurrencies? on: October 13, 2019, 06:51:12 PM
Thank you for the write-up! You made it easily understandable to most people who are curious about the existence of cryptocurrencies.

Just to add, one of the goals of cryptocurrencies is to eliminate the need for a third-party consensus in handling our transactions. A decentralized form of system is what it advocates especially that the government is what controls our mostly of our financial systems. With the blockchain being a public ledger that is readily available in the internet, this can keep track of all the records with our transactions, absolutely eliminating fraud and dishonesty.

Hopefully, the world adapts and applies the blockchain to our transactions as this may be the next generation of payment transactions in the future.
4280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Every tiny piece of Bitcoin is worth it! on: October 13, 2019, 06:07:11 PM
While I was scrolling in the forum, I inquisitively searched on the old campaigns that was established like years ago (around 2014) and I saw the pay-rates were around 0.04 BTC and above! Imagine if that were the case right now and I'd bet that almost everyone would be relatively financial stable. But that was before the prices of bitcoin were below ~$1,000.

Currently, the price of bitcoin sits around ~$8,200 and every tiny piece of it is worth-it especially if you are considering the long-term aspect of investing. So before you use your resources, think about what happened when its price reached around $20,000 last 2018!
