4321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Errol Spence Jr. Vs Manny Pacquiao on: October 01, 2019, 09:57:51 AM
After winning against shawn . Errol Spence Jr. said "i want Manny Pacquiao " on the interview . Are you guys still confident to put money on errol spence line?
For me in my own opinion its a big NO! Even this is not the right time to make a predictions.  And perhaps no need at all ?Lol . Imagine that kid want to box the living legend Pacquiao?  Oh my gosh it would be a next margarito vs Pacquiao for sure!  Lol just saying because i am now not empress on his skill after fighting shawn.  wherein they are totally the same what i mean no thrill like hide and seek behind their ears?   Ops sorry errol spence fans because Pacquiao speed and power is very amazing and there's no way Errol Spence  can place hes  head under Pacquiao shoulders.  Lol And it's like old man throwing a kid out on the ring. No offense guysl!  Peace!

Think of it in this way: Pacquiao who is aged at 40, managed to win over Thurman who is around 30 years old. Pacquaio is slowly aging but managed to take over a prime Thurman despite the age gap and difference. What separates the two fighters are the talent, skill, patience, and stamina that made the difference on the fight.

With regard to Errol Spence vs Pacquiao, I think that Pacquaio still has the guns to fight but it would be very dangerous to his health if he continues to fight. The damage will be felt long-term once he retires. Not to mention, he needs to fulfill his job as a Senate in the Philippines since another boxing career would hamper AGAIN his priorities.
4322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What should I do with a 1000$ and what would you do? on: October 01, 2019, 09:21:56 AM
If I were to have a $1000, I would not hesitate but to expand my portfolio through diversifying my investments into different methods.

Depending on your goal, you can utilize the 50% of the funds for stocks or for bank investments. The remaining 50% you can purchase cryptocurrencies depending on the trend and research you have gathered. Remember that stocks and other conventional methods of investing contain relatively low risks compared to cryptocurrencies being the highest.

Remember that you should not focus into one investment only. Better to diversify your portfolio so you can disseminate the risks and plan ahead.
4323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks are offering Negative interest rates! will this help BTC on: October 01, 2019, 04:57:12 AM
<snip..>

If I remember correctly, the reason on why the Japan's Central Bank imposed negative interest rates was to encourage its people to spend since most of them are saving their money either in the bank or on their respective houses. Due to this phenomenon, there lacks an inflow of cash in the economic machinery which makes the prices lower and cheaper BUT no one spends their money.

This would be a good opportunity if Bitcoin were to be introduced as an investment alternative since people would be spending and purchasing bitcoins, just like what they are currently doing. It would be a both win-win situation to their economy and to the price of bitcoin as well.
4324  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [STEP BY STEP] How to buy Bitcoins at 7-Eleven Stores in the Philippines on: October 01, 2019, 03:33:08 AM
Very informative and helpful! Magandang start ito kung mga convenience stores like 7-11 ay nag-sisimula nang magbigay ng option para makabili ng bitcoin. Siguro ang sunod nito Ministop naman? Nevertheless, more options mean more convenience!

Hopefully yun Cliqq Kiosk ay ayos or gumagana kasi based from my experience, parati na lang silang maintenance or out-of-service sa mga ibang 7-11 stores. Sana din may option na mag benta ng bitcoin sa 7-11 kasi ang mahal ng fees sa LBC.
4325  Economy / Economics / Re: Investments with Compound interest. on: October 01, 2019, 02:27:34 AM
The investment that you will yield in a compound interest is significantly big but it requires a significant of time also. Most people plan their retirements with investments such as these in order to have a large sum once they reach the age of retirement (or depending on the plan initiated). You regularly deposit pay a monthly or annual fee (monthly is better and will result to a larger sum) and recover the proceeds at the end of the plan.

Conpound interest is one of the most greatest invention of economist. Yes it is a great way to invest, but for a long term. Compound interest really creates great profits if handles wisely and invested properly. You can go to stock market or insurances which fully utilizes the use of compound interest. Bitcoins does not work that way so you can't really apply it here unless you can convince someone to agree with you.

The difference between cryptocurrency and compound interest is the manner of investing. The former may require HODL while the latter requires a regular intervals of deposit into a fund that will accumulate in time. Compound interest can be considered the best type of investment IF you start early.
4326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If not a "store of value" or "medium of exchange" ... on: September 30, 2019, 07:24:54 PM
then what is bitcoin?  A solution in search of a problem?

Many conventional investors view bitcoin as something that has no inherent and innate value. Compared to land, fiat, or any other item, bitcoin solely exists on the internet which the store of value depends on how much people are willing to pay for it. Just like gold which tends to be compared with cryptocurrencies, the price may be determined by the law of supply and demand.

People are forgetting the purpose on why bitcoins were created. The value is not the coin itself but the technology on where it runs- the blockchain. With its implementation and application, it revolutionizes payment transactions by eliminating the need for a third-party consensus in handling transactions. Everything is made transparent in a public ledger.
4327  Economy / Speculation / Re: Day Trading for a Living? on: September 30, 2019, 06:22:58 PM
Is day trading for a living your dream job? Get another one – study says 97% of day traders lose money.

https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=3423101

Only 0.4% earned more than a bank teller.

You can thank me latter.

Interesting stats as it entirely reflects the effects and realities of day trading. Contrary to what you posted, I have seen positive results based from my experience and from my peers also. Day trading is definitely risky especially if you consider the amount of capital, experience, and patience when it comes in looking for opportunities. But it also depends on what kind of goal you have as a day-trader and your limitations on the extent of loss.

This would be very risky decision. Day trading is very demanding and risky, only few are successful in it and to make for the living with day trading is something that only few are capable of. There is no guaranteed profit and no matter how modest you arr you can't be sure that you will be able to earn enough to cover all your needs and expenses.

I usually trade if I have the extra capital to do so. The dangers associated with day trading stems from your losses as you are inclined to recover from it. But once you get to experience the actual trading, it becomes relatively easier. It is essential that you observe the market frequently to know the current trends so you could base your decision from facts.
4328  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Yobit / CryptoTalk.Org Signature Campaign [Yobit Panel] managed by yahoo62278 on: September 30, 2019, 05:28:50 PM
This is the answer for or concern about the spam of yobit, finally this campaign is manage by a reputable manager.

Link of the campaign, - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5188047.0

Ano masasabi nyu dito, hindi na ba mainit ang mata ng mga tao sa yobit?

Nag simula kasi ang Yobit in a bad reputation despite being handled by hilarious. Dahil doon, nabann at nag-stop yung campaign nila.

Ngayon, ang nag-mamange ay si Yahoo (very well-known in the community as one of the most trusted campaign manager) at meron siyang specific guidelines and rules na strict siya sa pag-implement.

4329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Celebrities you probably don't know were(are) aggressive gamblers on: September 30, 2019, 04:32:28 PM
<snip...>

I mean, they have the means and the money to gamble so I would not judge them in any way. They worked their ass-off in-order to provide themselves the convenience of everything, so I would not judge them in any way!
Most people who have the means are actually gamblers since they can do anything that they want with money! Although it may be an expensive hobby or form of entertainment, I think that it goes to show how much it can provide and satisfy one's lust for enjoyment.

Do they also use cryptocurrencies to gamble? It would be much appreciated and interesting if they using too Cool

I already read and heard some celebrities who are into cryptocurrencies and appreciated it also. But it would be interested if they use it also on gambling, especially in sports betting. Does anyone know here are some celebrities do use cryptocurrencies for gambling? We'll be glad if we can able to know who are they Smiley

That would benefit the cryptocurrency world if celebrities were to gamble using bitcoins or any altcoins. Since they are celebrities, most people would deem to copy whatever they are doing, including their hobbies.
4330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Seven most imminent trends everyone should get ready for in 2020. on: September 30, 2019, 03:21:16 PM
Seven most imminent trends everyone should get ready for in 2020 by Bernard Marr. Blockchain technology too got its place secured among the list.

  • Artificial Intelligence as a Service
  • Autonomous Driving
  • Personalized and Predictive Medicine
  • Blockchain Technology

I filtered out the topics that I feel would cause a significant impact upon its implementation and application to different sectors.

Firstly, artificial intelligence as a service. Mark Cuban tweeted about replacing expensive labor to robotics in order to lower the expenses into labor-driven countries such as China. If companies were to replace labor with AI and people would be instead managing and reviewing the robots, this would potentially be beneficial in the economy.

Second, Autonomous driving. This may sound irrelevant but we are approaching innovation towards the driving system. What once thought as impossible is now slowly materializing from our control. An implementation of this program may potentially lower accidents in driving caused by reckless drivers.

Third, personalized and predictive medicine. In our age, noting is more important than our health and welfare. If we were to be sick, this would hamper everything including one's plans and goals set for the rest of the year.

Lasty, the blockchain technology. Unfortunately, people are looking at the other side of the spectrum whenever they use bitcoin. Superficially, most are only enjoying its relatively volatile price in the market without even understanding the potential of the blockchain once implemented in our daily transactions.

Imagine a world where everything can be seen publicly in a ledger which is unalterable. This would eliminate the doubts we have in the business sector and this would expose their every movement of manipulation and control.

4331  Economy / Economics / Re: Please, we should not totally eliminate fiat currency on: September 30, 2019, 09:25:25 AM
From what I have seen so far in this forum and other crypto platforms, most of us want fiat eliminated. But let us not forget that there are still situations whereby we can't use crypto except fiat like in rural places without computers or even internet facilities.

What will eliminate the fiat system is not cryptocurrency but time which is inevitable to change.

Cryptocurrencies are considered the top choices when the world adapts to an implementation of electronic cash. Merchants nowadays begin to accept bitcoin as a form of alternative payment to their respective products/services and there are other large companies that began accepting cryptocurrency as a whole.

Also do note that due to a large economic discrepancies among developed, underdeveloped, and developing countries, the latter will have a difficult time adjusting due to lack of access to such. That is why, cryptocurrency will not be able to replace fiat today but MAYBE in the future once we shift to the modern era.

Fiat cannot be eliminated because the entire world populace is not educated. There are lots of places where it will be difficult to transact without fiat. The traditional system of the financial transaction cannot be eliminated. This is the system my grandparents believe on, and it is easier for dem to transact without fear, fraud is highly reduced and trust is strongly initiated.

That is correct. Countries who are on the short end of the stick will suffer more in the damage compared to developed countries who has the potential to own the majority of its supply.
4332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MineMuse - MONEY: BY THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE on: September 30, 2019, 05:14:45 AM
And what do you say about the fact that you have other personalities in the team? Do the Director and CFO have different names in the photos? And at all half of team in project has other names?

You may want to check this thread that I posted earlier: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5188617.msg52596660#msg52596660

Half of the photos of his team came from modelling websites which are not their real identities as what he used in the project. I highly advise to stay away from this project until OP manages to answer the claims I posted.
4333  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Can We Expect A Legally Compliant Bitcoin Bank Soon? on: September 30, 2019, 05:01:01 AM
granted there are already BTC atms with proper AML compliance from cyber security firms like Ciphertrace so it would make sense that a bank is the next evolutionary step

It's different and there are no correlation or comparison with BTC ATM's and bank. I will assumed that BTC ATM are not even sponsored by any banks.

So I don't think that we can have a legally compliant Bitcoin Bank simply because those two is not a perfect combination. Crypto is supposedly a decentralised system with no central authority so how can a definition of a bank fit it? So it won't happened not even in the next 10 years. So it's either you go with the traditional banking system or style with crypto and hold your coins and your private keys and have full control of it.

It actually defeats itself if a cryptobank were to be implemented. The reason for the creation of the blockchain was to prevent any third party from handling our transactions and to make everything accessible in a public ledger, which is open to everybody.

If a cryptobank were to be created, someone has to regulate, control, and manage the bank (which we all know is purely driven for profit). Someone is still handling our transactions. Not to mention, the fees behind every transaction are subjected.

4334  Other / Meta / Re: Yobit spam on the forum on: September 30, 2019, 03:42:06 AM
Since the launch of the Yobit campaign, many Discussions and criticisms on this topic have been running in this forum. Now manager and many others are trying to eliminate spam from this forum. Since highest 20 posts per day limit according to the rules of Yobit campaign. And people have already started spamming to get their highest payment. But what I want to say here is that Yobit should change the rules of the campaign from 20 posts cap to 10 posts/lower than 20 posts is better, rather than looking for spammers all day. Is not it?

Like what asche said, the signature campaign can be used as a rat-trap against spammers in the forum.

Yahoo explicitly mentioned that he does not expect everyone to achieve the maximum 20posts/day and he will not hesitate to remove users who have been cheating/spamming their way in the signature. It all boils down if you think it is worth to lose your account in exchange for some bitcoins.

Well in the list, Yahoo regularly updates it with new members being included in the BANNED HAMMER.

4335  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Cryptocurrency Exchange on: September 30, 2019, 12:08:25 AM
This will depend on the country you are staying as each has their respective exchanges that might be convenient for you.

If you are considering exchanges outside your country, I highly recommend using binance, coinbase, and bittrex. You may also check their transaction fees and compare the prices to your liking.
If you are considering exchanges inside your country, you may want to see if they offer options for withdrawal or purchase as it may be more convenient in your situation.

Again, there would be no 'best' exchange since everything is dependable on your situation, location, and perspective on how you define it.
4336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will it be good for bitcoin if it will be regulated by the Goverment's on: September 29, 2019, 11:32:55 PM
The reason for the creation of the blockchain is to free itself from the conventional way of handling our transactions- which is the manipulation and regulation by a third-party company. If something were to be regulated, expect it to be manipulated and controlled in areas that should be free instead.

If bitcoin were to be regulated by the government, its price would fall and be stable like any other investment mechanism. Its volatility will be lessen significantly and investors would shift their attention to a new method of investing. In addition, manipulation of the prices, supply and demand would most likely happen in the long-run if it were to be regulated at some point.
4337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who are are your bet for this year's boxing fight of the year on: September 29, 2019, 10:46:59 PM
For me, it's the Thurman Pacquiao match it lives up to people's expectation, although the fight is not that close but's there are so many dramas headed to the fight, I really thought that it's Thurman who's going to retire Pacquiao, Manny proves many people wrong he still has it.

I also like the Joshua Ruiz fight but the Thurman Pacquiao has so much excitement going to the fight date.

What made the fight between Thurman and Pacquaio interesting is the hype created by Thurman on his continuous trash-talking and bullying Pacquaio before the fight which lead to his downfall. Of course while remaining humble and keeping his feet on the ground, the People's Champ delivered!

The Joshua Ruiz fight was also an interesting but Porter vs Spence may be the fight of the year. The excitement, thrill and and hype between the fighters are unmatchable especially the fight itself.

4339  Economy / Economics / Re: Build a Bank Of Bitcoin on: September 29, 2019, 05:44:21 PM
if i build a bank of bitcoin that operating like a traditional fiat money bank when people can save the money and get interest for their saving and also people can get a loan from my bank but the fiat money is change for bitcoin, the question is would you guys trust me to save your bitcoin on my bitcoin bank that i want to build ?

It defeats the whole purpose of the blockchain which aims to eliminate the need for a third-party consensus in handling every transactions.

The blockchain technology was created for the purpose of putting every transaction in a public ledger which can be seen by all people in a public ledger, which each steps of the transaction being absolute and unalterable. On the other hand, banks have control over the transactions and we create a fiduciary relationship between them in storing our money.

If a bitcoin bank were to be created, there needs to be someone who oversees the transaction, which again defeats the whole purpose of creating the blockchain.

Quote
"I say if you do not become a millionaire in the next 10 years, then it’s your own fault."

It's a big statement! An 18 year old male who grew up in an affluent family, is not a good fit for making such statement! Becoming a millionaire doesn't make you eligible for such statements!

People come from different backgrounds, different financial situations and different family situations! To get a different perspective of life, speak to a slum boy someday!

I do agree, people have their respective pacing in achieving their desired results. There are people who became rich when they got old and there are also some who invented and discovered something at the spur of the moment. It varies depending on the circumstance of an individual, like you mentioned.

Well thats why I believe that going to school doesnt give you all things you need to be succesful in life.Succes is all about your choices in life and how you spend your hour.Experience is still the very best teacher in life, you cant learn nothing without experience.

Attending school renders someone the values and education they need to prepare them in the working force. School definitely teaches you how to value your time and other essential resource and that is why it is the foundation that what makes an individual successful.
