4341  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CoinExchange.io - Account locked, no response from support for five days on: November 16, 2017, 06:49:04 AM
My Coinexchange.io account was locked with no reason given five days ago now. I opened a ticket with support, but I have heard nothing. I changed my password and did everything I could think of, but nada... Has anyone had this experience before? Any ideas for how it could be solved?

Contact this guy on the forum, he was last active around 2 weeks ago. PM him and hope for a response.

How much bitcoins/altcoins did you have in your coinexchange account? If it is a major amount then make sure you let them know and make sure that you say that you're willing to go through the entire legal process if needed.

Are you sure you did not do anything abnormal to get your account suspended/locked? Like signing in with the wrong password multiple times by accident, travelling to a different country, etc.?
4342  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HashFlare Turning Scam?? on: November 16, 2017, 06:46:39 AM
I am using Hashflare.io from since 1 year. They paid me good and on time. But now they raise their withdraw limit. (0.0004 to 0.1 BTC) I think they start to scam now..

Anyone using Hashflare? Any thoughts?

Never been a good deal to invest in any form of cloud minning.

But the whole hashflare thing is beyond just a simple ripoff or anything like that. Contracts that were previously lifetime now only carried 1 year worth of weight along with them, which violates the most basic law that involves a contract anywhere.

They also seemed to have turned up the min withdrawal to like 0.2 BTC for 3 days before turning it back down to normal. Turning scam? I think it's highly likely that they are.
4343  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud mining does not make any financial sense? on: November 16, 2017, 06:33:36 AM
I don't understand, why would someone cloudmine. I looked at nicehash prices

https://www.nicehash.com/buy

with 77 usd you can buy 0.05 PH for 24hrs.

According to profitability calculator, with that power you would get 60 dollars in 24 hrs. So you would pay 77 dollars to get 60 dollars. What am I missing?

You're not missing anything.

The sellers have to make a profit - if they don't make a profit then there is obviously no point for them to list their miners up for sale. Now you as the buyer can take a risk with buying one of these contracts, and potentially profit more than you invest in it.

I would do this only for fun, as in the long run you're likely not going to be making anything in the positives. Just think about it again - if miners can make more mining themselves, why would they rent out their mining power to someone else?
4344  Economy / Speculation / Re: We are here. on: November 16, 2017, 06:29:46 AM
Honestly i would like to see the bubble burst and buy up as much bitcoin as i can when BTC gets overdumped like hell. When everyone else is talking trash about bitcoin and saying that it's got no future, thats when you know you should buy.

We're still in the institutional investors stage at the moment. Goldman sachs and other investment funds/banks have only got into cryptos a few months ago and people are still flooding in.

IMO, bitcoin will get up to at least $15000 per coin before any sort of actual flash crash happens.
4345  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Refusing to pay lost bet. on: November 16, 2017, 06:12:36 AM
He's online today, have you tried PMing him?

since he essentially said that he would be hedging his bet with you with an investment into Bitcore of 0.01 BTC, he should have enough money to repay you. Unless of course he never made the investment into Bitcore and he was just hoping that you would lose.

This is why if you want to bet on these things, use a legit platform like fairlay or at least use a trusted forum escrow. Taking a full member's word who has no trust for a bet worth $700 will not turn out well in 9/10 cases.
4346  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Read This Before Joining Any Shit Token Air Drops on: November 16, 2017, 06:08:54 AM
Good guide to spot the scams.

I'd say that any project that is based on the ethereum network with an ERC20 token and a shitty whitepaper that has been built up from 20 minutes of work is guaranteed to be a scam. Don't even need to do any research.

Especially those that take on another coin's name, like eIOTA, eXMR, even eETH. Do not invest a single cent of your own money into it. Doing the airdrop will probably lead to your info getting sold as well.
4347  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake signature campaign by Nizar93 on: November 15, 2017, 08:33:10 AM
I do not defend any party in this case

after read all your opinion, "sometime" i think that The Pharmacist only butthurt and i also i cant 100% belive nizar93 too.

there still no solid evidence for both party in this Accusations.

so my opinion is :

1) why don't you "nizar93" just pay that $35 to "The Pharmacist". Let's just say this is a reward for your negligence. since they say other participant have been, it should not big of a deal right ? than your red tag should be remove

2) we can stay like this without any real settlement

How is The Pharmacist butthurt? He got scammed $35 upfront payment, and he deserves to get paid that since they agreed on it beforehand. Otherwise, i agree with you. I would like to see number 1 being the option that is chosen by Nizar.

Usually, when an account is hacked, it's partially the victim's fault since they are not careful with managing their computer's environment or clicking on random links without care. Therefore, Nizar should come to a partial repayment to solve this issue.

I do think that Nizar is probably hacked, since i don't see any benefits in advertising a business then refusing to pay for the advertising, therefore ruining it altogether.
4348  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Trustworthy Mixing services? on: November 15, 2017, 08:23:19 AM
Are there any trustworthy mixing services as a few searches have yielded very few results.

Chipmixer is probably the one that i would use. TOR and clearnet both work compared to some services that do not have a TOR mirror or does not work on the clearnet. Mixed hundreds, thousands of bitcoins and still counting. Been the #1 option ever since bitmixer closed.

There's also bitblender that has also been around a long time. I say you can trust them with your mone ysa well.

With Privcoin, it's new, but i think they're here to stay as well. They've got multicoin support. But overall, chipmixer should be the most convenient way and the best way.
4349  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoin Cloud Mining with HashFlare on: November 15, 2017, 07:47:16 AM
Calmly backing to normal:

Quote
The following features currently remain unavailable until the work on them is complete: EMC payment option. Stay tuned for updates on reenabled features.
Update 14.11.2017 08:00:00 UTC:
The withdrawals limits have been reduced to standard values:
Bitcoin: 0.01 BTC
Ethereum: 0.1 ETH
Dash: 0.1 DASH
ZEC: 0.1 ZEC

Is this the normal? I haven't got an investment in hashflare at the moment but this "normal" minimum withdrawal values still look like pretty damn high figures to me. Usually, 0.001-0.002 BTC minimum is a good starting point for btc. 0.01 BTC or around $70 is way too much.

Anyways, it's still odd that they chose to raise the minimums to such high levels in the first place.

Quite frankly i would probably shy away from investing with them, based on previous actions that they took.
4350  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Will Crash Below $3000. on: November 15, 2017, 07:20:26 AM
There was a rumour on zerohedge today that the reason bitcoin bounced back up from $5600 was some big hedge funds deciding that this was the time to buy bitcoin. See

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-11-13/mysterious-bitcoin-dip-buyer-identified

While this big money moves in (perhaps stung that they missed out the $1000 - $7000 rise this year), bitcoin's price is supported.

What happens next depends on whether bitcoin's rivals can gain usage for their coins.

Agreed. Institutional investors always means more support for bitcoin at every level and less chance that a flash crash is going to happen. On the flip side, rises are going to come a lot quicker with the new money flowing in as well.

If it does crash below $3000 i would take that opportunity to buy in as much as i can, or at least as much as i can afford - i've sold way too low and now i'm suffering from the consequences. Crashing below $3k just means that people are panic selling and it's good to go against the crowd sentiment in these sorts of scenarios.
4351  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Withdrawing my BTC on: November 15, 2017, 07:05:12 AM
If you hold your btc on poloniex, withdraw the bitcoin or an altcoin(i would suggest just going with bitcoin, only use altcoins if the fees are incredibly high and you have a low balance) to your account, and deposit into localbitcoins.

Once in localbitcoins, find your native country's ads, for you it's Serbia. See what options you prefer and find a trustworthy guy. Usually cash deposit and bank transfer will get you the best rates.

Then, open a trade and wait for them to pay. Release the btc once they pay you.
4352  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Poloniex is stealing my money on: November 15, 2017, 06:54:07 AM
This has been an ongoing problem in this exchange. Their communication from their support has been lacking for months now and you will be considered "lucky" if they get ever replied by them.

it goes a bit deeper than this. the support ticket backlog going back to ~ may of this year is nothing new. but this new rash of users having their accounts dropped to $0 daily withdrawal limit is a new complaint that has emerged over the last couple weeks. i really wish we had some idea of how many accounts are affected.

what scares me the most about this is that the people complaining have VERY LARGE accounts. i'm not going to come out and say that poloniex is insolvent. but as an outsider, the situation seems to be getting worse.

anyone who can still get their money off the site should do so now.

I wouldn't say that it's getting worse. The sheer amounts of poloniex complaints back a few months ago is still unmatched at this stage. However i think we're seeing a lot more people with high portoflio values taken down by poloniex.

I remember that there used to be a site suepoloniex.today, but now that site is down.

If you are storing so much btc in an exchange in the first place, then you should be prepared for a hack/suspension of your account. Expect the worst.
4353  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Bittrex] account downgraded, 1 month no answer from support, funds blocked on: November 15, 2017, 06:51:23 AM
as i said before in their announcement topic [1] i have a very old account with https://bittrex.com
bittrex had an account type called "Legacy" which meant you didn't have to verify your account (give any kind of information/documentation) to be able to trade or withdraw large amounts. my limit was 2000BTC daily which was reduced (site-wide for this type of account) down to 1337BTC when price went up a lot this year.

about a month ago, with no warnings or anything they downgraded my account to "Basic" and now they are asking (forcing) for my personal information which i am not willing to give them.
and now my money is blocked in their website and i am unable to do anything about it.

1 month ago i created a ticket with their support team (303970) but to this  date i have not received any answer apart from the automated ones telling me to wait and not make duplicates.

this is unacceptable and clear example of robbery.

[1] https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=463202.msg23216051#msg23216051

Yeah, if they were offering legacy accounts with no verification and now they just completely and abruptly lowered your limits down as a basic account then it's unacceptable. You're only trading on their site because you think that you don't need to verify yourself and go through that tedious process, not because you think you may get those benefits and they can change their rules when they want to.

Hopefully their support will allow you to close your account and withdraw your account balances, that's probably the best case scenario.

If not then i think only thing you can do is probably just submit ID. But again if there was no warnings, you shouldn't even be doing this.
4354  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: JayT own my 100 USD worth of BTC on: November 15, 2017, 06:16:09 AM
so JayT you finally scammed or what?

you replied me 2 times and then always disappeared

I still waiting for to pay back some portion of funds via btc or ltc??

He hasn't been on for a week or so now so, i'm not sure what to make of that. Could be just running away from the crime scene fyinally instead of even bothering to cooperate and communicate with you, or could be just doing other stuff.

Anyways, i think it would be good to post an address for repayment in public, both btc and ltc, so that we all know when he has made a repayment.

I wouldn't expect much from this situation. Most scammers never come back to repay.
4355  Economy / Lending / Re: 2000$ PayPal loan --> Bitcoin collateral on: November 14, 2017, 10:09:11 AM
I can do this with bitcoin, we just need to fix the loaned amount in USD. That way there is no worries of either parties charging back in case a paypal dispute is filed(as you know, paypal is highly reversible and it's unnecessary to take this risk).

Let me know if you want to proceed, i need a little time to get my funds ready though(by the end of the week should be able to get it).

Or you could go with zazarb. Your choice.
4356  Economy / Services / Re: 🔥 🔥 🔥 Transaction Acceleration Service [ 100% FREE , No Tips ;) ] 🔥 🔥 🔥 on: November 14, 2017, 09:37:31 AM
Thanks, it's refreshing to see someone who is willing to help the community without pressuring others into tipping for them and essentially turning it into a full time job(coolwave in particular who is probably making his entire living out of this).

I'm assuming you use the antpool accelerator right? Correct me if i'm wrong.

https://www.antpool.com/user/prioritiseTransaction.htm is the link for anyone wanting to do this themselves.

Exactly, I really hate it when people charge for something when its totally free, that's what made me launch this. Anyway i will be using the following services for acceleration:
Antpool, confirmTX and viabtc.

Right, thanks for the service and all the best to you. Also commend you for your transparency Smiley

Hopefully this will teach everyone in the services section a lesson, stop misleading people into thinking that you own a magical pool or something that will be enable you to confirm payments, when you're really just using free resources.

Great work again Grin

4358  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Poloniex is stealing my money on: November 14, 2017, 08:20:52 AM
Damn, really strange. A friend of mine did perform a successful $500 withdrawal yesterday. R u sure you have not just went over your daily limit. You know there is such thing on Polo. It does reset after 24 hours.

Pretty sure it's not, since OP claims that he has a ongoing support ticket that is also unanswered for "months".
Unanswered service requests for months. They have dropped my withdrawal limit to 0 as soon as I started to withdrawal.

#431491 Pending verification

Any recommendations of legal action I could take? $30,000 at stake.

Thanks, Mark

Not sure if you can even take any legal actions, are you even located in the same country as poloniex? If no then basically you'll have to depend on them keeping their word, which they demonstrated that they cannot back in June-July.

I would suggest switching exchanges if you do get your funds out. Poloniex is unpredictable.
4359  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitnary - A chatbot to track unusual trade activity! on: November 14, 2017, 08:11:40 AM
Hello members,

I am the creator of Bitnary (www.bitnary.co) - a chatbot to track unusual trade activity and notify you.

Currently supported platforms:

You can create custom coin-pair alerts of your choosing.

Any feedback for improvement will be highly appreciated.

PS: If this is the wrong forum to post this, my apologies. Mods - if you would be kind enough to move this to the right forum, I would very much appreciate it.

Thanks!

You should move this into the service announcement section where new services or sites are announced. Service discussion is used for independently discussing services/websites that are offered here.

Basically this is a price alert when the price of a certain trading pair hits a threshold right?

Makes sense to have this, especially when the facebook messenger comes out. But blockfolio and a lot of others have this function too. Maybe create a tool to also do TA on selected pairs and give market trend recommendations?
4360  Economy / Reputation / Re: How do you guys feel about trust farming? on: November 14, 2017, 08:07:41 AM
I was going through the "Zepher" account and saw that he is giving out 10 positives for the same guy even though it was on different occasions (he does that with several users).
Your point being? If I successfully traded big amount of money with someone, I am not allowed to leave them a rating for each time?

Do "Zepher" and "minerjones" have some sort of connection? Like siblings parted at birth?  Roll Eyes

Code:
minerjones	2017-01-04	10.00000000	Reference	PIZZA!!!!!!!! yum

The reference is a pizza picture...
It's an internal thing, and a very valid rating. I can't exactly remember what the deal was with that Pizza, but I do remember it.

It looks for me like a circlejerk of trust trading or maybe all these accounts are just owned by one guy - this is definitely fishy.

I hope some more ppl will check this out.
No. These people are literally trading thousands, tens of thousands (USD) worth of coins every month.

If this is the case it is fine.

Not knowing them seeing a pizza picture as reference for a 10 btc trade in 2017 was a pretty big red flag.

Another trust thread.
It is always the same.
Bitcointalk.org priority:

1. Shitposters
2. Trust farmers
3. Bitcoin
4. Shitcoins

Btw can anyone explain me how different trust reports for user x from the same user y counts?

I was going through the "Zepher" account and saw that he is giving out 10 positives for the same guy even though it was on different occasions (he does that with several users).

Edit

what drugs are you on?? many of us have traded $100K plus with both of these guys - they are on different continents and are both super trusted.. MJ holds physicals for me and on some occasions has shipped $50K plus deliveries on my behalf.

also - there is a world outside of this forum where many of us transact....

See the reference i quoted.
Having successful trades in the past is no guarantee. We had more then one of these mr. Long cons.
Maybe you are on drugs or just arent here long enough?

Of course there is the real world - but this is the internet and most people here dont know each other in real life. The only things they can check are the digital history and the reference i quoted without further information is a red flag - no buts here.

I think that it doesn't really matter. Zepher obviously trusts minerjones and minerjones trusts Zepher as well. Apart from the "pizza" trust rating, zepher has gotten 5 other pos trusts from minerjones. So it really has no tangible affect of having or not having the "pizza" trust rating.

I personally think that it's fine to give trust, even for a trade like the email forward contract. Trust is all about opinion anyways. That's why you always have to look into what exactly a person did to get his trust, instead of relying on the score only. But i think that changing the trust to neutral may be more appropriate.
