Speaking to a new guy now. Have invited him to introduce himself here and let you ask him questions.
I'm happy to proceed down this route tom if you believe the translator to be competent to do the job.

IMZ, how did you end up in faraway WA?
Did you grow up there?

@CaptChadd Welcome to the UNOverse! We're glad that you're here!

Get behind this ladies and gents. Go over and upvote it!

My votes are to move ahead with the translation services as planned.
That said, but a more long shot idea, does anyone live near a University that has a computer science department? There might be some Chinese students studying abroad that could have some interest?

If you are going to mine Bitcoin, why wouldn't you choose a merge pool? They can either afford to have lower fees or higher payouts. It makes sense. I am having fun mining at mmpool right now, enjoying my Uno dust. Exactly! It would be nice to get BTC Guild and Slush's Pool on the $UNO train too!

@siameze thanks! On another note, look at that delicious hash ladies and gents! Mr. Mojo risin'!

I had a quick wallet question.
When we download the new Beta Windows wallet, it is in zip format.
I unzip it and there is only the QT.exe file.
Do I need to copy the QT.exe file into the directory of the "old" wallet to over-write the former QT.exe? Or, just leave it in it's own directory by itself?
Thanks!
Yes, as long as you have backed up the wallet.dat, you can delete the old qt and everything, and run the new one. Thanks for the prompt response. Should I uninstall it, or delete it?

Dedicated Android Wallet for UNO - Request funds for developmentSee the original request here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=527500.msg10831261#msg10831261We now have 160 of our 125 UNO (at today's price) goal! udroidNXd1YNoL1DgNu8NktemcnexiBByMYou have all pushed this over the top! As they say, many hands make light work. I am glad to see this community going the extra mile to show our new Android app dev. what their work means. Good luck to HashEngineering on this endeavor, you have a strong reward waiting for you. I will proceed to payout as stated in the first post on this topic, namely 1/2 at app launch, then 1/2 a month after, or after any showstopper bugs are squashed (whichever comes first). By all means if you wish to continue, or didn't get a chance to donate please do. Keep in mind that devs. with skin in the game tend to stick around. Thanks everyone for your generosity! Another update from HashEngineering via PM: I have finished some of the testing, so I moved on to creating the app. So far it is syncing. Not sure if sending and receiving work yet. Icons are also wrong. Hopefully I can get something workable to test with other users soon.
A reminder, if you want your coins back PM me with a signed message from the address you sent funds from and they will be returned. Thanks for the update! This is great news! It's better to move expeditiously and be right than to rush and have a shoddy product. Plus, I'm guessing that the folks at Hash had to deal with our switch-over to the MM-business too, which slowed them down?

You? You are one of the good ones that don't need to be asked twice.
Thank you for supporting what will certainly bring this price in line with intrinsic value.
My money is where my mouth is. I will shortly own 1% of all current UNO and a bit more. Threw down 8 btc already the last few days and that is almost two more BTC of me sitting on the bid at:
0.01172209 Buy 168.49066192 168.49066192 1.97506270
Thank you for your support.
Other hodlers who post a lot: your turn.
Put up or shut up. A single kilo gets you off the hook if you are UNO poor. But a beer in most Bars is 2 UNO. You won't buy the guy that brings us to a Chinese exchange a beer?
I am sitting in a bar in Vietnam now. You know how many beers 2 UN0 would buy? 14
Pretty sure it is similar in China. This is a deal. Pledge you cheap bastards!
I am not sitting in Vietnam nor China right now, and may not always agree with Gekko's delivery method. Notwithstanding those facts, the China project that Gekko has spearheaded is very important to the future growth and success of UNO. I know that we are decentralised community; however, I would urge everyone to commit at least 1 $UNO to this project to ensure its success. Thanks to all!

mmmm . . . 'dust'!
Welcome, ThePhwner!
Woo hoo! We da Featured Currency on Cryptopia.
Mark (IndiaMikeZulu), Australia
By that standard, 42 coin is a "dust" coin. And it still trades @ 3.80 BTC on cryptsy. UNO is rare, so expect that dust to increase in value. LOL. Blazr2's 23Skidoo hit 450 BTC just the other day on Cryptopia. I'm a little sad, though, because I get the point. Just a week ago or so I was able to assemble a entire Uno after a week or so of mining. But now, at these hash rates, it will take me 120 days to earn one Uno. I am better off to merge mine all of these coins (including Bitcoin), sell them of and buy Uno (which is my plan). I'll keep my Uno dust, but will gladly sell my nmc/dvc/i0c dust to people who value those coins. Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. Market is no fool, and these basic fundamentals have kicked in for miners another recent halving, no-brainer merge mining, high hash, low block reward. In my opinion, the ability to buy $UNO off the exchanges will also soon be just dust as the exchange prices will rise to reflect increased demand and decreased supply...it's basic supply and demand. People are beginning to notice our little blue gem...

Wait... but I thought Macs "Just work?" How can this be possible?
Wait... Someone deliberately misunderstanding a 15 year old slogan from Apple as if it ever meant "it's infallible?" How can this be possible? Talk about infallible, I still haven't given up trying to get the wallet working on my TRS-80!

dropbox?
Yeah or hightail Google Drive, Microsoft drive

thx @BitcoinCharlie That wallet works excellent - sync'ed very quick, and looks cool too Glad to be at your service! Anyone have any update on the MAC wallet?
|
|
|
I'm using the v0.9.5.0-thermoremnant wallet, and it loads OK - after opening up it is in full sync, but then after a while it starts falling behind about 50-80 blocks and never catches up again. 8 active connections. Is there a newer version than this one? I think I've seen some posts mention ver .1? If so - where can I download that one? The link in the OP for WINDOWS only downloads the 0.9.5.0
For the latest wallet, please go to www.unobtanium.uno and download the 0.1 beta and you should be fine.

Are there any users in this thread who use irc? It would be nice to bounce project ideas with some of you in real time.
I can be on IRC, just need to know when the get together is....
