Quick question do any traders trade inflection points on EMA's?  BC although this is a good strategy it should be used in CONJUNCTION with others to have it trade correctly a higher percentage of the time.  I.E. we have 10/21 EMA lines when the slope of the 10 day EMA line becomes 0 after a bull run, it will either rise or fall.  I've looked at a substantial amount of bitcoin data and it seems that making a sell at this point, and a buy at a time inverse to this could prove to be more effective than when they cross.  The other option is to wait for the slope to reach a certain point after an inflection to make a more informed decision of where the price is headed.  Of course, this trade should only be made after due diligence of the trader, but can easily make money off of small changes in price from drops 2-5%, or give the trader a quick sell before a possible huge crash.

444  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will You Sell when BTC Hits $1,000? on: November 16, 2013, 09:31:18 PM
BTC seems to have reached a point whereby whenever there is a mini crash there are investors on standby with purchase orders ready to snap up coins preventing another complete free-fall.
This is what I've been pointing out, it can't crash.

Anything can always crash, it depends on the variables at hand.  I am sure of a few events that would inevitably cause bitcoin to be worthless.  However, they are extremely rare to happen as well.

Are you having rewards for people who hit lvl 50/75/100? It just sounds like 30 is relatively easy to get to.

447  Economy / Speculation / Re: this time it's different... on: November 16, 2013, 02:38:06 PM
Every time it's different people want to play on past results.  This will work sometimes and others not, but there is still a lot of up pressure so we may be far from the top.
448  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How long were you 'into' bitcoin before becoming a full-fledged evangelist? on: November 16, 2013, 05:12:13 AM
That positive attitude is exactly what bitcoin needs.  I'd like to see a company spring up that helps the longevity of bitcoin in addition to adding unique items.
449  Economy / Speculation / Re: Guess the weekend low (16-17/11/2013) 0.1bitcoin prize on: November 16, 2013, 05:09:36 AM

450  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Why so much hype around mastercoin? on: November 16, 2013, 01:52:24 AM
It looks to me like people are hyping up this coin without understanding what it is or does.  I've read a bunch of posts about it and all I get is ooo its built on top of bitcoin la dee da.  Well here's the thing there's a lot of shit that's built on top of TCP/IP that totally sucks and no one uses now.  People trying to get rich by holding mastercoins... what a surprise...
451  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 15, 2013, 09:57:06 PM
$500 on Monday depending on how Senate hearings go.  Most likely, they will be neutral to positive, therefore I am thinking maybe $550 by next weeks end.
452  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BitCoin Ultimate Value? on: November 15, 2013, 09:54:59 PM

456  Economy / Speculation / Re: Warren Buffet to buy Bitcoins on: November 15, 2013, 04:28:25 PM
I read in a few places that he thinks the whole currency is a bubble and would never buy bitcoins.  He's just too old to believe in this type of thing.
457  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BitCoin Ultimate Value? on: November 15, 2013, 04:25:16 PM
With all the speculation in BitCoin pricing, and the fact that there is a static amount said to be produced, (21 million), how will BitCoin mitigate being a currency that is accepted worldwide?  Currently, the USA alone does about 1.2 trillion dollars of transactions.  If the 21 million BTC were used in place of those dollars, each BTC would be worth around 60k USD.  Is this correct?

Using the same logic, the world money market moves about 46,513,000,000,000 USD, which if the BTC market replaced, would make each BTC worth over 2,000,000.

Insights?

_V

Each Bitcoin is 100,000,000 Satoshis that's 2.1 Quadrillion currency units!

If BTC 0.00000001 (a Satoshi) ever equaled 1 cent then 1BTC would be worth $1,000,000.00

I think this is why the main currency for bitcoin may have to move over to mBTC or something.  I mean are normal people going to realize the difference between .00001 and .0001 bitcoins?
458  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: TerraMiner IV, Worth it going forward? on: November 15, 2013, 04:08:00 PM
Sure, your miner will be profitable if:
- You are about the only one who thinks it will be profitable at those prices. If too many others think like you, they will order more miners and thereby reduce profitability until it no longer is profitable. Quite likely so many thought like you they have already ordered so many miners it will not be profitable for anyone.
 AND
- Cointerra sees no reason to lower prices even if you are their only customer, despite the fact they have a >1000% gross margin, oddly they would rather sell nothing than sell at 500%

OR

- none of the asic vendors are able to meet market demand, thereby limiting supply and keeping difficulty artificially low, but for some reason, *you* are able to get your hands on your terraminer anyway, even when other people dont.

As for that 500% diff increase by March. Heh.

Historical Difficulty Increase
30 Day   170 %
60 Day   488 %
90 Day   906 %
http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/

That happened before Hashfast, Monarch, Cointerra, Bitmine, ActM, Black Arrow even shipped a single 28nm unit. And before next gens from Bitfury, Avalon and Asicminer.

Yeah, I think we're looking at increases slower than what we've seen but probably still ~50% a month which equals about 1000% by March.
459  Economy / Auctions / Re: Auction 2 Hosted KNC Jupiters on: November 14, 2013, 05:55:32 PM
And yes I accept escrow, that is certainly the best way to do the transaction.
460  Economy / Auctions / Re: Auction 2 Hosted KNC Jupiters on: November 14, 2013, 05:55:03 PM
I have 2 knc jupiter miners that I am looking to sell. Both are currently mining on eligius at address 1CYophkCzz6DsBk3UUJCdnFjBGt8KbgMXx.  Together they average 1100 GH/s over a 12 hour period.  The winner of the auction will be in contact with me and I will give him the login details of both my kncminer account and my portal.kncminer account.  Once the buyer has both of these details, the buyer is free to change the mining address that the miners are pointed to and the pool that they are on (in addition to the password of the two accounts).  Therefore, shipping is instant and I will certainly be on Monday to exchange information with the buyer.

Reserve Price: 60 BTC
Begin Time:  11 AM EST 11/14/2013
End Time: 11 AM EST 11/18/2013

Auction begins at 40 BTC for both jupiters, and is only able to end for both jupiters (as they are both linked to the same account).

Which is it? same account or separate ones, Please explain.

Also, When is hosting paid up to?

Also are you willing to accept escrow on these accounts (since it's online it can be done by giving escrow the login details, So the seller (you) is effectively dealing with the escrow)

One account is on kncminer.com it has the 2 knc units paid for and you are able to change shipping address and add additional orders there.  The other account is on portal.kncminer.com this one gives you the ability to change the settings on the two miners that are on the account.  You need both of these to prove ownership of the two jupiters.  Hosting is currently paid up until 6 months from now (because they added an extra month for shipping late).  About somewhere in the May range.
