Me personally, I look for no other than this platform for first hand information. If I like what I see here, I move to website and other social media channels of the project. BTT is always the best source for me. |

There are many reasons. Avoiding the various problems with exchanges. Transaction fees, conversion fees. For instance there is a fee of 1.49% on total amount of bitcoin one might wish to sell, this might not seem like much but when selling thousands of BTC it accumulates quickly. Too many horror stories of people getting locked out of their accounts on Coinbase. If you refute these claims please explain why. Don't just say "that's bullshit" followed by some childish insult.

@EthanB Hello Ethan thank you for your response. I am dispatched by a Fund that would like to remain anonymous in their venture into Bitcoin. They also want to protect their investment by purchasing BTC under market value. I assumed this was the right platform to post this add.
We have had very little success in finding sellers seeing as how there is some sort of 'Everyone is a scammer' witch hunt going on here in this platform. Even when we clearly state in our previous adds that vetted escrow is to be used.
Either way if anyone has large volume to sell, we are open to discussing terms. Escrow ONLY.
Just wondering, why would someone like to sell at below market price unless they are stolen assets or something like that? |

Alright, I got the point. The point of making a common account is to have an account with shared credentials. And there is no intention of buying the account rather making an account that grows organically under the ambit of forum rules.
Just FYI in case you didn't know, none of the people who answered your question are staff, nor am I. I'm not sure if staff will stop by to answer it, but they do tend to do just that eventually. My own non-staff opinion is that it's not a problem at all. Even having multiple accounts here is allowed, and I have never seen a rule against multiple individuals sharing the same one--but I'd say you're doing the right thing by asking first. That's more than most bitcointalkers would do. What isn't kosher is entering one account into multiple campaigns/bounties, or having multiple accounts using the same ETH or btc address, but it doesn't sound like that's your intention. That's not even a forum rule anyway, but it's something the community enforces. Good luck. Ty for responding in a lucid manner. That cleared a lot of doubts as you are an old and respected member. And yeah, in my opinion you can have alt accounts and have shared accounts for spreadsheets or for your business or whatever, no problem especially if you are transparent about it..
Alt accounts only should get hit if they are scammers, trying to scam, are spamming/shitposting, or are bought accounts.. Just be good and you're straight for the most part..

I'm almost positive that sharing an account is alright, because I feel like I've seen other businesses doing it in the past without any fuss. I wouldn't take my word as gospel, but I believe that this is acceptable under the rules. Just understand that once you link yourselves through a single account it is possible that if one of you does wrong then the finger will be pointed at all of you. I would be extremely careful who you share an identity with, as you will catch yourself being responsible for the actions and words of others.
Yes, I agree with your views. I understand that being responsible matters a lot. Asking and clarifying doubts to adhere to forum rules is first step in this regard. There is no point doing something which is against the forum's code of conduct as we want to make sure that whatever we are doing must be legit. You point regarding taking collective responsibility is well respected. To prove my point, none of us have an alt account here thus far. Thats why we want to make an account which everyone of us can use but at the same time being responsible for whatever that shared account does. Some body with bad intent would not ask for anything legit. Rather they shall go ahead and do. |

I have an idea for a project. There are so many successful blockchain projects that can be used to launch a small town or city. There are blockchain projects for nearly every industry. This can be done with the right people. We already have a few important things in place.
There are already a couple pf project live on this principle. Aeturnum is one such project who intends to do it. I am not very sure how good the project is but the idea is certainly not new. You may build on to it though. |
