Q&A: There's been a lot of questions coming back repeatedly, which isn't really bad in my opinion as it indicates that there's new people coming in. However, there are a few misconceptions going around so we're creating this in order to clear some things up. We'll continue adding more questions to this list, but please feel free to ask if you have a question now that isn't answered here. What is Ardor?Ardor is a scalable blockchain platform with child chains. With it, people can use blockchain technology without having to build things from scratch. In addition, they will be able to trade with other child chains on the platform. Since it is built with Nxt technology, the features of Nxt, like Assets, Messaging, and Voting, will be available on the child chains. Will Nxt Die?No. Nxt will be supported by the core developers for at least a year after the launch of Ardor and will most likely be supported beyond that. When will Ardor Launch? Ardor is scheduled to launch in the third quarter of 2017. The distribution after the snapshot will be of assets that represent the Ardor tokens that you will get when Ardor launches. These tokens can be traded on the Asset Exchange of Nxt after they are issued, which will be at block 1,000,000 (around October 13th).
Will I get ARDR if my NXT is on an exchange?We have a written confirmation from BTC38, Poloniex, and Bittrex that they will be participating in the snapshot and will be distributing the tokens.
What is IGNIS?IGNIS will be the first child chain of Ardor. How do I get IGNIS Tokens?Before the launch of Ardor, there will be a one-time snapshot to all accounts with NXT. You will receive 50% of whatever amount of NXT you have at that time. Like with the snapshotting for ARDR, no NXT will be burned.
Do I Need to Have Ardor Tokens (ARDR) to get IGNIS Tokens?No. The only determining factor of the amount of IGNIS Tokens you'll get is the amount of NXT you have. What Will Happen to My Assets on Nxt?It all depends on the Asset issuer if they choose to stay on Nxt or move on to Ardor. It will not be automatic. I might have missed it somewhere but wondering if we know what the current total Ardor supply is at the moment. Guessing same amount what nxt has?

Do you know other decentralized mixing service on blockchain? Link?
I was just answering @Startselect question about possibility to transfer BTC to NXT wallet and possibility to shuffle them. You don't need to go thru NXT and multigateway if you don't need this service. There are users who use it. It's just a possibility to mix your btc using NXT platform in a decentralized way. You use it or not.

Does anybody know, why Nxt Alerter ( https://mynxt.info/alerts.php) doesn't work anymore ? [It's been stopped several weeks ago, If I remember well]. Thanks. Reporting it to the MyNxt developer. I see there is an error when trying to register a new alert, but as far as I know, existing configured alerts were working. Situation seems still the same (error occurs, when someone trying to register a new account/alert). But I guess there is some problem in general - I have long-time-exist/configured alert, and it's stop working as well. Ok, here is a task for everyone: Read the story below and answer the question in the end. David, Dominik and CFB walk into a bar, they have Iota devs tip jar with some iotas in it. Being trinary numeral system zealots they decide to spend only 1/3 of all iotas from the tip jar. Unfortunatelly, the number of the iotas is not divisible by 3, so they throw 1 iota away and spend 1/3 on beer. After a while they decide to repeat and to spend 1/3 of the remaining iotas. The number of the iotas is not divisible by 3 again, so they throw 1 iota away and spend 1/3 on more beer. An hour later, to please the God of Trinary, they decided to spend 1/3 of the remaining iotas for the 3rd time. As you may guess, the number of the remaining iotas is not divisible by 3, but they know how to handle it - they throw 1 iota away and spend 1/3 of what is in the tip jar, take the beer and walk away. Question: What is the lowest number of iotas might be in their tip jar before visiting the bar, taking into account that number of iotas can't be fractional? Do they completely throw away 1 IOTA every time or it returns to the jar?  |

On 12 October you'll receive ARDR asset, which will be freely traded in NXT asset exchange at least. Not clear about centralized exchanges (poloniex, bittrex, etc.), as it depends solely from them, include this asset or not. Price will be market price, nobody can say what price will be |
