Только кондиционер так не шумит, как ферма с картами и скорей всего жрут меньше электричества. Если нормально настроен даунвольтинг, то ферма не шумит вообще. Шум вентилей видеокарт на 40% практически не слышен. |

Майнинг уже врядли когда либо закончится. Заканчивается профит на видеокартах предыдущих поколений и устаревшем оборудовании. Современные Асики дают такой доход, который отбивает их стоимость до года, а потом они становятся металлоломом. С видеокартами сейчас в майнинг лучше не входить, потому что окупаемость растягивается на годы, которые полны сюрпризов...

1080 не самая удачная видеокарта для майнинга. На алгоритме эфира имеет слабую производительность в пересчете на цена/хешрейт по сравнению с красными 4-570/4-580.
Единственным ее плюсом была неплохая производительность на Equihash.
Сейчас на ней нечего копать кроме ворон или шлакокоинов на модификациях алго Equihash.
Вега стабильно копает монеро и мало кушает. У монеро перспективы большие и асиков там не будет, поэтому я за веги.
1080 отличная карта с таблеткой. На эфире легко 35 mh/s. Equihash на видеокартах уже не выгоден при майнинге на солидных монетах типа ZCash, а остальные монеты нужно тащательно подбирать, чтобы не майнить шлак. Но АМД поновее, тоже хорошая карта. Нужно также смотреть по производителю и конструкции самой видеокарты. |

Возможно что пора и сворачиваться но всё же я ещё немного подожду  Пока зима, фермы можно рассматривать как обогреватели. Позднее, особенно при повышении цен на электричество "по просьбам трудящихся", наверное, придется выключать фермы. |

Простые майнеры (меньше сотни gtx1070) могут из темы уходить, я верно понимаю?
Им невыгодно связываться с майнерами, у которых пара десятков карт, загрузка только одного видеофайла может занимать часы из-за большого объема. |

На процессорах с поддержкой AES можно майнить монеро или подобные криптовалюты. Если такой поддержки в процах нет (очень старые модели), то выхлоп очень мал.

AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2950X 3.5GHz/32MB is able to use 16 threads while Monero mining. Each tread is 50-60 h/s. It must give up to 960 h/s. If you have better results it is more than enough.

I'm using 11.5 and 11.9 versions of Claymore for Ethereum. They are working very stable and give approximately the same hashrate as latest Phoenix miner. I think that problems appear if there are very strong overclocking and small size of the swap file.

SOLVEDDDD!!! It was the FU**ING SATA cable. It was the one provoking the short circuit. Thank you SO MUCH. I was about to give up! I really appreciate your help guys!!! Gonna go out and celebrate with some drinks!  Cheers PD: Btw what do you recommend, connecting sata or the 6 pin GPU cable? 6 pin is better because of the lower resistance of the wires. It has 3 thick wires for "+" and "- ". Thanks to it you will have a more solid connection and reliability. |

Your miner is the best at the moment for many algoritms! If you wish to add other algo, think about Verge (Blake2s) and Digibyte (Skein), maybe for new algo of Siacoin.

Trying to use this miner in HiveOS with 3gb cards.
When it starts to mine dev fee, there is an error: "Allocating buffers failed with: clCreateBuffer (-61)." And miner hangs...
Is there possibility to switch off dev fee, maybe with hashrate drop? Is there an option like -nofee in claymore?
I've already switched my 3 Gb cards to other algo. They aren't working from today with such a big DAG file while Ethereum mining. So there is no issue for 3Gb cards for ethereum? Only other coins and algos? Yes, only other coins. Also I tried this miner with latest Adrenalin drivers (18.12.2-Dec12) - unfortunately there is no control of fans. |

I have personally never used this MOBO or even seen it in real life, but I looked up some pictures from Google. I can see that this motherboard has 3 different 24pin ATX connectors on it and 3 different 12V+ zones. So one possibility is that you are connecting your PSU to one of the ATX connectors and then you connect the riser to the wrong zone(eg. power to zone 1, riser to zone 3).  little scheme. Also, I can see that in this MOBO's BIOS there is special "Mining Mode" option. Have you tried it? I think you are right. There is special protection for voltage leakage from different PSUs. You have to choose appropriate connectors on the motherboard for risers and PSU. |

You have very good miner! It will be even more better if you kindly add kernel for Tahiti GPUs. These cards are unprofitable on many algo at the moment because of lack of good miners. Many people have such cards and will appreciate your efforts!

Mining is really profitable now only for heating. If prices of crypto will be at this level few months else, I think that hashrate of the majority of coins will be halved.

It is made to economize the consumption and performance of GPU in different conditions. You have a different load of GPUs when PC is sleeping, when you work in MS Office, when you are watching video content, when you render graphics or play in a modern 3D game.

Your cards are overclocked too much. You have to use other BIOS modifications/timings for GPUs with not such aggressive timings.
|

It was error 43 related to cards with modified BIOS. You have to use patcher and switch on compute mode on the latest drivers to achieve good hashrate.
