443  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: butterflylabs Cheater on: June 08, 2013, 05:26:50 AM
lol...  funniest thing is I'm not sure I've ever been within a mile of a person that would even understand this, yet everyone on this forum...
444  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ATTN] BitSyncom: What happened to my Batch 1 order? on: June 08, 2013, 05:23:55 AM
I'd love to move their shipment time back up.  Come on guys, please respond, everyone wants to hear some good news.

This lack of response sounds like bad news.
445  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: butterflylabs Cheater on: June 08, 2013, 04:42:15 AM
Easier to meme if it's all one pic.
446  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: List of projects developing ASIC chips for BTC mining on: June 08, 2013, 04:23:27 AM
Very nice, I've been meaning to do this, but if someone else wants to spend some time upkeeping a list I'm all for it Smiley
447  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Bitfury is looking for alpha-testers of first chips! FREE MONEY HERE! on: June 08, 2013, 04:20:45 AM
I'm more impressed with BitFury every day, I'll gather their info for the list...  I haven't seen anyone give credible evidence of anything wrong with their information.
448  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Low Watt Miners GH/BTC, ROI [Updated June 7] on: June 08, 2013, 04:15:41 AM
BFL has only shipped .63% of their expected load, from what I've seen.  If someone can give me a link that shows some good reasons for them being so late over and again, or they start shipping I'll add them back in.  Truthfully I didn't want to take them off, but I just can't be a part of sending people to them until I see a logical explanation, and some proof that they have the consumer's best interest in mind.
449  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [GROUP BUY] 100 KnC Jupiter 1-500 on: June 08, 2013, 03:21:01 AM
I agree plasmoske.  Though, if I had disposable income and wanted to take some risk, I'd love to buy a couple of these.  I hope everyone is careful, and checks all the details before they buy, though.
450  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: CoinCanary.org - Mining Database - All Known Vendors and Status on: June 08, 2013, 12:56:13 AM

Great, I love it!
451  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [BFL] "Timeines, delays and why shipping is only now happening in June!" on: June 08, 2013, 12:43:42 AM
Funny, I was just going to suggest to Inaba that if he feels he has a reasonable case to make, why not make it?  Over and over again.  Just has to write out a good explanation with a faq that can be updated with all the questions and answers that have been given.  Then constantly refer to it.  If you feel that you are right, tell us succinctly and people will start to listen,  otherwise why wouldn't everyone call scam?

edit
I say this because I would like to have them back on the list, but until I have a good reason, shipping.. communication that makes sense...  come on guys.  Maybe this already exists..  if so link me, I don't think many people have seen it.
452  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Low Watt Miners GH/BTC, ROI [Updated June 7] on: June 08, 2013, 12:37:43 AM
I pushed all the companies requiring Avalon chips back a couple months.  There is no reason to believe that 9-10wks is a reasonable delivery time, when there are people waiting much longer than that.  If people start confirming that their chips came in, and it looks like the lead time is fixed, I'll change this.
453  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Low Watt Miners GH/BTC, ROI [Updated June 6] on: June 07, 2013, 04:54:46 AM
looking at your charts - ROI is a worry ---
also all shipping miners have negative ROI !!
Lots of "dogs" in some of these products  --- any time scale slippage may mean negative ROI

Maybe KnCMiner is the only one with a realistic price

I like them, but remember they haven't shown a working product, or proven their ability to make one.
AND they started taking preorders.
454  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Call to arms] Why don't you destroy BFL rather than QQ? on: June 07, 2013, 04:49:12 AM
Wow ThatDGuy, I love how you pretended that you weren't insulting me in your response.

So I'll ask again what would be the appropriate way to handle this situation?
455  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Low Watt Miners GH/BTC, ROI [Updated June 6] on: June 07, 2013, 04:20:10 AM
Would you consider breaking up the list into two parts? First section would be miners that are confirmed in production and shipping. The second section would list all the others, be they slow to produce, suspected vaporware, and so forth? Seems liek 90% of the items on your list aren't shipping, and as more companies make their own "announcements" it'll be increasingly difficult to locate the miners that are actually in existance when eyeballing the list.

Just a suggestion! Smiley
The "Working Unit" column is for that.  Maybe I should color the 'no's red so it's more eye catching.
456  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Call to arms] Why don't you destroy BFL rather than QQ? on: June 07, 2013, 02:59:36 AM
They are literally sending out jalapeno units.  I don't know how many, I don't really care.  Apparently they've covered the June orders through July 20th.  This is what is important though:

I think your the disconnect here is that you are so invested in this (ideologically, monetarily idk) that you aren't willing to take a look at what BFL has done wrong.  You talk about objectivity, but how can you ignore the lists thrown at you?  You just keep saying how ridiculous it is and the op's idea wouldn't work, so what would work?  Why do you think it's wrong to try to fight this?
457  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL creates new charity project to donate 1000 BTC to [ROFL!] on: June 07, 2013, 02:43:32 AM
Someone mentioned trust.  (marketplace trust)

Unfortunate that trust will totally fail us in this situation, as they aren't actively promoting themselves through a specific user name.  Inaba is of course the name of the CEO, but unless that was consistently promoted the newbs buying from BFL won't know.
458  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Difficulty will easily rise 10 times by Autumn on: June 07, 2013, 01:13:55 AM
All the more reason to be part of the ASIC wave.  If you don't keep up, you get left behind.

Sure, when proven developers release their second generation of machines that are much faster than those shipping now

No, you missed out. No developer will ever make a machine that is cheap enough to make much off of it. If it is a good deal, everyone will buy and difficulty will rise to compensate. From now on, mining is going to be a arduous, low-return game. The easy money is gone.
I'm really sad that this is happening.  I'm looking for solutions.  It's not easy though.
459  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Total hashrate jump (100 -> 175 Th) in 10 days? on: June 07, 2013, 01:09:38 AM
Where did you get the 175TH from?  I'm not seeing that in sipa.

However I am seeing it in my mining return for the last week.  Seems like it halved..
460  Economy / Speculation / Re: We're going down again on: June 07, 2013, 01:01:09 AM
We didn't go down when gox did.  Nothing the government has done has made a dent.  What makes you think people are just going to drop the price now?
